Hi,
Can anyone please tell me whether the VOLTE feature is working on the latest ASUS stock firmware (i.e. without turning ON the mobile data). I am currently using ASOP ROM, I would like to return to stock version if volte is working....
Thank you,
It would be better if you ask in the zentalk forums.

Hi,
If you can help me fix this I'll pay you.
I have rooted my i9505 using Towelroot.
The stock installed Android version was 4.4.2, the baseband version was XXUGNG8.
I have installed the philz_touch_6.58.0 recovery and tried several ROMs.
All ROMs install without problems but I can never turn on Wifi or it turns off after 10 seconds.
I have tried various kernels, modems and bootloaders.
I would like to be able to try different ROMs but prefer to have a clean 4.4.4 ROM.
If someone can help me solve the Wifi problem I'm willing to pay for it.
If you can contact me on Skype (username: marcselman) I can follow all instructions immediately.
Thanks.
Still nothing
I have now reverted back to stock ROM XXUGNG8. But even now Wifi won't turn on.
My Knox counter has been tripped but I don't care about warranty. Could it be the reason Wifi is not working though?
My offer still stands though. If anyone can add me on Skype and help me fix this I'll pay you.
Marc
The things that tip off wifi is the modem and kernel. Have you search for hlos modem

Hi All,
I've flashed @DrakenFX back-to-stock zip's for U variant on my Chinese one, both BootStack and StockSystem zips.
happy to confirm that everything works except the cellular network basically making this a tablet
Trying to go back to Chinese stock, the boot stack for that model has no mirrors on the download page (ZTE_A2017V1.0.0B10_BootStack_by_DrakenFX.zip)
would appreciate if anyone has the file and can re-upload it. Till then I'm stuck with absolutely no phone :crying:
Another option I'm willing to experiment with is to flash the modem so it will work nicely with the U-everything-else.
If anyone has reason to believe this will work and has the modem binary I'll go for it.
Having the U variant supported bands is a-OK by me.
I would've commented on the dev thread but as I'm a new user I'm still not allowed to
Here : ZTE_A2017V1.0.0B10_BootStack_by_DrakenFX.zip , just FYI next time you try to use a different variant Rom, you just need System.img & Boot.img (Stock System zip in this case using my files) , YOU DON'T need other variants Bootstack

Hi! I have the exact same problem - no carrier signal after I flashed B29 US ROM on my chinese Axon 7 although the rest of the phone works fine - could you please please please tell me if you got it working and how??
Best Wishes
Hi there.. I read somewhere that it's possible to flash the global ROM on the US model and unlock the 866mbps WiFi speed (2x2 mimo).. Is this actually possible? If so, is it possible to flash just the radio on Lineage OS and get the same effect?
@TgSn
Did ur problem solved if not, then may b i could help you
Waiting for your reply
I recently flash aicp rom for that I need to flash android n modem so I flash that also. For some reason I retrieve back to stock rom using twrp backup but now volte is not working here is some screen shots in attachment
In my experience, most of the CM based ROMS will have issues with VoLTE.
I am experience in stock rom also
That's not right. VoLTE works fine on stock. Of course, your provider needs to provide that service, otherwise that Enhanced LTE switch does not appear in the menu.
thats not prived by provider ..

thank you for help.
I bought it today due to previous phone failure, it had LL5.0, I updated it to MM6.01 updating the bootloader before and then the rom, now I loaded Nougat by twrp.. all is fine except no network signal. I think the problem is with baseband, my version is G900PVPS3CPK1. What can I install to have it working?
I'm without phone, I pray someone to help me quickly, thank you
the baseband works ony in LL 5.0 actually on stock ROM G900PVPU3BOK4_G900PSPT3BOK4_G900PVPU3BOK4_HOME.tar but it boring asking to update to MM, if I update no network connection.
I was on 7.1.2 Resurrection, it works great extept baseband, guys said me it is projected for G900F.. but while I tried I had the MM bootload where baseband doesn't work. I dubt I can use the bootloader of LL that works..
You need to flash a baseband that was intended for nougat. I have. G900p (sprint s5) running on a att network. Im running crdroid 7.1.2 my sim works great ... You need to reflash stock rom and either leave it alone or do some reading before you just start flashing stuff you dont understand ....
thank you for help, mya you kindly suggest me a stock rom that worked for you?
I've solved the problem, but not really happy how.. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3698397
Found Resurrection remix that works great on G900P, and used Lollipop AO (they said last of LL 5.0) as boot loader. When I used the MM bootloader the baseband wasn't working, as well when I left the stock AO 5.0 update itself by internet to MM.. several updates insluding baseband to the most recent releases and network was off..
THe problem is intriguing, why this happens?

I recently got the SM-J730F/DS and i wanted to mainly get rid of the operator loaded firmware by flashing a stock or custom rom ... the problem is that i cannot locate any firmware for the SM-J730F/DS model? flashing the normal SM-J730F will work fine with dual sim support? And lastly which custom rom can someone suggest that runs without any bugs on my SM-J730F/DS
THANK YOU !!!

You can flash any firmware which is compatible with j730f.
I have XenOs but it is not without bugs ,i do not think it is custom rom without bugs.
My device is also a 730f/ds and I havent had any problems with a rom related to hardware. As far as I can tell the last two letters indicate the amount of internal storage and sim slots. Any given rom for J730 f should work on your device.
Even if you are stuck on a bootloop you should be able to enter recovery and flash a different rom.
Thank you guys for your help, so if i really wanted a custom rom on there which one would you suggest the most that has the least amount of bugs?
