how transfer file from m pc widows 7 to oneplus 5. Windows 7 does not recognize oneplus 5
Did you bring down the notification shade while its plugged into the PC, press the USB charging options and change it to "Transfer Files"?
Make sure you have the following:
1. OnePlus USB driver installed
2. Go into Device mgr and make sure it is properly detected. If it isn't you have to choose the driver you installed in the step above
3. Make sure you have MTP option selected on the phone when it's plugged into the computer

I can not see my phone when I connect to the PC via with the short included A to C cable. I even switch the mode from charging to file transfer but it still does not show!
I think I have the drivers because I can access ADB with it.

Fix: Enable Developer Options. Then under developer options:- "Select USB Configuration". Toggle between 'Charging' and 'MTP' once.
I installed the included driver in Windows pc manually and switched mode to file transfer.
After upgrading to Android 6.01 (which went smoothly), my Honor 5X will not be recognized by my Windows 10 computer. When I plug the phone into the computer's USB port, the phone makes a ding noise, but nothing shows up on my computer.
I have done all of the necessary requirements:
1) Downloaded and installed HiSense on my computer
2) Enabled Developer Options on my phone
3) Enabled USB Debugging on my phone
4) Enabled MTP on my phone
Can somebody tell me how to get my phone recognized by my computer so I can transfer files? Thanks.

I finally retired my ASUS Tf700 and now have a N10 running CM 13-20160712 Nightly. So far I am loving the N10 but have never run a device with a custom ROM.
I have large media file on the N10 that I want to transfer to a Win 7 PC.
I connected the N10 to my PC and it shows under devices but there are no files visible...no driver??
I tried using Bluetooth but Win needs a driver but I have not installed one as I don't know how nicely plays with CM.
I have done a bit of searching but everything I find seems to relate to either stock ROM or is part of the process of customising...loading ABD DRIVER??
By now you will have realised I am an Android Numpty:crying:
I gather a can use an OTG cable and normal Thumb drive or one with a micro USB at one end and standard USB at the other.
I am happy to work my way through whatever is the best solution but I am having trouble deciding which way to go and would like some advice.
I prefer win shared folder and Total Commander + Lan plugin for it on Nexus. On any android device in fact.
When you connect your device to pc there is a choice on android. Slide from up to down to show how usb will work. Sometimes it connects like for charging mode only.
Funny, but just restock my nexus and have the same problem. Win 7, there is only "Android ADB Interface" and no device in My Computer.
Enabling USB debugging on android helped here.
And finally right answer just found
1. Enable USB debugging: Go to phone settings -> About -> Tap build number repeatedly until developer menu is enabled. Go there and tick USB debugging.
2. On your PC, go to your device manager (when the Phone is plugged in and set to MTP), locate the phone, right click on it -> properties
3. go to the Driver tab
4. click Update Driver
5. click Browse my Computer for driver software
6. click Let my pick...
7. select USB Composite Device
8. finish up with the assistant
then reinsert device to USB.
MY OP5 is not recognized by my computer..I have tried installing the USB drivers and restarting my computer ..kindly help..im using windows 10
Check this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/help/oneplus-5-recognised-windows-10-t3627051
Selecting file transfer instead of charging only, in the dropdown menu, did it for me. After that reboot was necessary for recognition.
also try install win 10 media feature pack, just install right version like win 10 pro N version 1703 etc, i had this problem and this worked for me
after that select phone drop menu to mtp
all you need to do is go into development mode and go down to networking and find USB configuration.
MTP would let your computer see the phones internal storage.
Hey XDA, pretty much like the title says. This is the first time I have this issue, before it was always plug it in and press the transfer files option and autoplay would pop up. Now Windows informs me that “Android is ready for use” but there is no way to find the device in File Explorer.
I hooked up my A1 to my laptop which did work properly so the problem is definitely on this PC’s end. I’m running latest version of Windows 10 Pro N 64. So far I’ve tried changing cables, different USB ports, rebooted both my PC and Phone. I also installed ADB Setup 1.4.3. The phone charges fine.
In device manager under Other Devices it says MTP with an exclamation sign, I’m unable to find drivers for this thing through auto search. There’s also ADB Interface under USB Devices which has up to date drivers.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Exactly the same here, under windows 10, MTP device not supported in the windows devices panel, i'm running ressurection remix rom....
When I first got my A1 I used Helium to restore my apps, I found it would only connect if I selected MIDI in the phones drop down.
This happens. Just use update driver and manually select the MTP driver from the list.
go to your notifications, tap the usb option and select transfer files. works great for me.
