Since Samsung stopped supporting the international galaxy S3 model (aka GT-I9300) claiming that the culprit is that it only has 1 GB RAM, so system apps cannot be run correctly, XDA Developers refused to settle down releasing the first milestone named ArchiPort, and here comes the other BIG EVENT.... :victory:
This is a discussion thread for the "back-to-n00t" project by @arter97, where latest Touchwiz Android 4.4.4 ported to the I9300 from the Korean version SHV-E210S, to keep the origional development thread clean and only development-related ...
before getting started, you must remember the what-so-called a disclaimer:

neither @arter97 nor me nor anybody is responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, exploded phones.
It's your choice to flash this ROM, not anybody else. If you don't know what you are doing, then i strongly advice you to do some research, or leave it until it is complete.

I want to congratulate to @arter97 for his work, I'll being paying attention until stable ROM release to try it :fingers-crossedOnly one device to use, I can't permit me to lose connection :crying.
Question: I'm from chile... If I install this ROM, need to install local modem to avoid "no network" issue? (Obviously making backup of EFS before flashing).

Concerning the modem question i also have the same question asked in the development thread.
Screenshots and downloads question: i think arter's site is down for a while may be...
I am also having the same issue here when trying to download
We have to wait for arter's website to get back so i can download it and post screenshots

Yeah, that's my fear... I love custom ROMs, but my first experience was awful, I lost connection to network and sim was asking for PIN number... I had to send to repair my S3, only with 2 weeks of usage!!! (that occured 3 months ago) :crying:
Now, I'm using S5 Sensation ROM and I think is great, but I want to try others available developments

As kernel indicates the battery capacity in milliamp Android system , eg have a battery of 3500mAh and 2100mAh system warns all application says that the kernel is providing this information , but the forums only talk about percentage . excuse the word as it is not my native language.

Camera performance seems to be like the stock one. I have tested the rom but i returned to stock becose i need the phone working as well for my job. However camera its not a problem. Works well

Rebooted and now i can download.
Fixed the rotation.
Now waiting for camera fix and other bugs..
After using it for a while..
Very good rom despite being still in beta. Note 3 tw looks a bit weird cuz of 5x5 grid. Maybe a s5 tw would be better, or one like our stock's tw with normal grid and also with widgets selectable on app drawer. Currently back on stock cuz of the bugs. Returning when it will be more stable. Good work.

thank you for this awesome rom ! that 's great what people creating/porting new roms. but here is some bugs: why meniu and back keys not vibrating anymore? or anythere is settings for setting vibration? and when I go to Messages, and send message with symbols, box with message pump up and say what i need to set message style to automatic ( somethink this ) , and in message settings I dont find these settings. sorry for bad english!

just had a query to ask does this rom also has two builds of rom one for screen lock bug users & one for normal users like the other lp 5.1 roms or everything is packed in a single rom build....& is everything working well like the camera & other things ..as i am currently using mukulsoni cm12.1 for screen lock bug users it has certain limitations when compared to normal users without screen lock bug...hope you rectify all those bugs in the coming days.. if you want testers for this rom i will feel happy to help you as i am using screen lock bug variant of grand 2 ....feeling gr8 to have you back in the developers section of our grand 2 forum

@aapav01 Sir, I hope you have a separate version (like mukulsoni did with his ROM) for those who have devices with lockscreen bug. I installed your ROM and I'm now currently experiencing it.
Lockscreen Bug: When I lock my screen and try to unlock it, the screen stays black. You can here sounds but there is no display.
Internal ROM only 5Gb on Lollipop
On Lollipop why is the Internal ROM only 5Gb when it should be 8Gb? It happens for CM12 and CM12.1

Only SD Card and Internet need to be fixed
(The work on CM 12.1 was discontinued due to performance bugs, etc.)
There are no other Android 5/6 ROMs out there for this Phone

When I start pubg on any android 6.0.1
It's work 30 second then it's crushing
Ask the game developer.
