I have the S7 edge and when i touch the write message button from within the messages app it takes me to contacts instead of just going to the text window. If that makes sense, how can I get it to just go to the text window like my S7? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

I have htc home installed. I love the way palm threaded sms works, but it gets really annoying at times. is there any way to set it up so that when i hit the text button on htc home it opens JUST my sms inbox, and when i hit the email button, it opens JUST my email? right now, it opens the main messaging window, as well as the text or email window whenever i hit either of those buttons.
also, when palm threaded sms is installed, my text message inbox opens itself about every 10 minutes on its own, does anyone know how to stop this?
if not, does anyone know of another sms program? the one that comes on the mogul is really slow and ugly, i dont even care if its threaded, i just want something faster and possibly better looking than the built in one

Load up your emai/sms ap, menu -> tools -> settings untick "display account picker"
well that solved the problem of it opening the picker, but it created another problem. now the email icon on the htc home plugin just opens text message inbox as well. is there a way to set what those buttons open? Also, is there a way to delete this "Outlook E-mail" account?

i hate the part when you slide to the message tab and you see a text message from like 4 hours ago.. even tho you read it already.

i like to have the messages icon but i dont like the old messages it displays.
You could try putting a htc_messages quicklink on your home page. this will take you directly into the sms inbox. This also speeds up message loading times that are crippling if you click on the sms tab on the slider to get to your messages.
ok, so, im guessing we all know this already... if we have over 1 txt message saved when trying to reply to a txt message its a pain. since you cant type while the messages are loading... any way to make it so that you can type when its loading? help!

I can start typing, but the screen is jumping back a few messages, then I must scroll down and tap into the white area and continue to wirte my text. Some times it is laggy tou
Use the search chaps... there are many threads on this very 'issue'.
When opening a thread of messages, the HTC messaging app loads all messages in the thread (typing whilst loading does now work after HTC 'fixed' it, however it will probably be laggy). Once all messages have loaded a 'feature' of HTC messaging highlights the last msg.
A simple workaround is to attempt to send a blank txt, then when asked to confirm select no. Messages stop loading and you're able to type fine.

It's been a while since I had an android device, but I'm thinking about switching from my iPhone to an Edge S7. I was able to test an Edge S7 from my work for a day to see if I like it, and so far I'm quite positive
There's only one feature I didn't like so much, which are the consolidated lockscreen messages. On my iPhone every message is shown separate, which is convenient when I'm in a meeting, I just tap the homebutton and I see my latest messages on screen. But with the Edge will consolidate multiple messages from one app and say "2 new messages".
Is there a setting that allows me to unconsolidate them, and show each message separate on the lockscreen?

Just switched from note 3, to s8 and I love it. But I liked having my SMS go give me this popup window when I got a text, so I could reply to it immediately and keep using w/e program I was using. But now I don't get it on the s8. Help?
