So I unlocked the bootloader through Moto's site. Now I want to relock the bootloader. I went through Moto's instructions and flashed the files for the X1625, however when I go to fastboot oem lock, it just says flash valid android system. It will boot up and run correctly, but it still gives the warning message and will not go back to "locked" status.
Thanks for any help

Click to collapse
Unfortunately, if you cannot boot into the operating system to enable "OEM Unlocking" in Developer Options, it is not possible to unlock the bootloader. Period... There is no way around it, and since you have been issued an unlock code your warranty is void (it doesn't matter if you actually unlock or not, your warranty is voided by the code being issued successfully).
With the bootloader being locked, downgrading is not possible, and since we don't have the latest factory firmware image your only options are to wait for it to become available and then flash it.
If look at the output of "fastboot getvar all" you should be able to see what version you have installed now. You need a full factory image that is the same or a higher version for the exact same variant you have, otherwise you just have a brick... Moto won't even lock at it, even if you pay for it.
Could somebody tell me how can I relock the bootloader ? I have bootloader unlocked but I do not know where I wrote the unlock code. Is there any chance to relock it without paying for the code ?
Use dload method and install stock rom. This will lock your phone like factory new and Bootloader will show as "Locked". If you relock with code it will be "Relocked".
Boorloader status:
Locked - factory new, warranty
Unlocked - void warranty
Relocked - void warranty because it was unlocked
Dload method - https://forum.xda-developers.com/p10-lite/development/service-rom-b362-c432-upgrade-o-o-n-o-t3813946
Just use the right ROM for your version and follow the instructions. It's easy, just use the right version
HI,
I have a realme 2 pro with buyback guarantee from flipkart. I want to return this under warranty. I have to unroot this completely so there is no issue.
Would appreciate any help here.
unroot using magisk uninstaller!! Reflash stock recovery using adb from fastboot!! then again boot into fastboot and use relock command "fastboot flashing lock" for relocking the bootloader!!u have to select lock bootloader option from ur phone after the command!after that Ur device will be fully wiped!!so take backup of ur needed data!
