International version...which firmware - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I just purchased a dual SIM international version and I don't have it yet. I live in America. If I wanted to restore to stock, which region firmware would j download? Or does it even matter. There isnt an American firmware.
Thanks

Question about Australian Firmware.

Hello. Im new to the S7 Edge forum coming from a note 4. Im on Puerto Rico (PCT) firmware G935FXXU1BPH1. I saw theres a new Australian firmware on sammobile G935FXXS1BPJ8. I was wondering If someone has tried it out and if theres any diference or changelog available. Ive read that some firmwares removes Volte. Would it be safe to flash it on my model. thanks in advance!
I am on Australian FW BPI6 .... Standard retail version with Sept security... No other updates... It could just be a carrier update??
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
It was updated for the Vodafone version of the phone.
Does Samsung Pay work on the S7 Edge international (G935F) with Puerto Rico (PCT) CSC?
You need your own carrier's CSC to be able to have VoLTE.

INS ROM for SM-G935F?

Does the Indian version of the ROM for International S7 Edge exists? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Read a post that said I can use a INS rom for SM-G935FD. Is it risk free? No bricking and stuff? Does that mean I can use a second Sim Card if I flash a G935FD ROM? I am currently on XSA (Australian) Firmware because of Whitepages and Samsung Pay. Is it worth flashing? Plan to return to USA after a month and wanted to know a better alternative to the XSA firmware that works well with USA carriers.

CSC for international version ?

Hi i have a 9500 S4 Exynos version, the international version, i recently upgraded to Lineageos but i want to go back to stock but i don't know which Rom to choose because of the region code. i live in dominican republic and i don't want to install the one for my country because it will probably be filled with bloatware from Claro (local carrier) and i don't know if it will probably lock the phone, the phone is factory unlocked by the way. Can someone can pass a link for a Stock rom running lollipop with the international csc?
Download CSC CAU from sammobile.com, but I cannot provide a link due to site rules. CAU is for countries in the Caucasus mountain range in Europe, and is probably your best bet to be bloat free. You may still wish to download the Dominican Republic firmware anyway, in case of issues with the CAU firmware.
I'll try that

Change Region of my S8

Hello
I have a India Region S8 which is not locked by any provider. As I am in Australia I wanted to install the Australian version so that I get the Samsung Pay options for Australia.
Does anyone know how to update the Samsung Pay or entire OS to Australia?
Will installing official samsung version of Australian rom trip my knox?
Please help.

Since urs is an Indian model of the s8.. It will be the Exynos variant.
If Australia also sells Exynos variant (which I think it does), then u can directly download the Australian firmware from sammobile for ur model and flash it with odin.
Make sure u download the firmware of Exynos itself.
And flashing this wont trip Knox.

Help needed - Imported s8 network issue in india

I bought s8 (G950N-Exynos-singled sim) from south korea though i live in india. Here voLTE wasn't working before, then i flashed a custom rom hadesrom one ui by corsicanu. Now voLTE works almost fine.
But the network service of my device is very poor than indian s8 (i compared it with indian s8). I was wondering if i can flash the bootloader and modem of indian s8(G950FD) via odin .
But the problems are 1. my phone is singled sim, 2. there are no such indian s8 firmware of android 9 on sammobile.com.
What if i flash the bl and cp of G950F ?

voLTE is a carrier specific service. if it wasnt working on your previous ROM and is currently working on the new one, then the dev baked in the goodness of voLTE on your ROM where it was absent prior in the previous ROM.
Anyways, as far as what will happen if you flash the G950F firmware, it will boot and then the phone will think its a G950F. Thats it. Exynos processor S8's can accept the F firmware

use this version of Odin. Teh linked page described why your phone is failing the flash. Its tripping up on a 255 error
i had to use this on my A8 when flashing the UK firmware on it since it was a UAE market phone
