Hi all
I've been having issues with my 4g connection whilst on roaming since the last update. Everytime the phone tries to connect to 4g the connection completely drops out and then reconnects to 3g. Basically I can only get 3g whilst overseas and as the phone keeps trying to connect to 4g, it constantly drops out. This doesn't happen whilst back in the home country at all, only whilst roaming. I've tried a factory reset but the problem persists. Very confused and would appreciate any tips or help? Thanks all!

Im having problem with my network connection.
Everytime it has to change from the sweden 3G network to my Tele2 GSM network it looses connection. This roaming issue is very annoying.
Most of the times it will register to network again but it takes several minutes.
Sometimes I have to softreset.
Another problem: I seem to have full 3G-signal but when I start PIE and a connection is started the signal goes down... Why on earth is that?
Anyone else noticed this?
recall when 3 first started with 3g here
they had the same problem the problem was
not with the phones but with the way that
the they handled the roaming from 3g to 2g
people had phone conversations ended by the
changing from 3g to 2g and such
think they fixed it now but it was not a phone issue
I need help with tele2comviq 3G
I have an htc diamond, I successfully conect to 3G for free but it can't surf internet but only works with skype. Any suggestion or help?
I have an HTC touch dual (nike) and it keeps dropping the 3g signal.
I then get a really annoying message saying that the connection has dropped for an unknown reason.
After a few attempts I can usually connect to a gprs connection, and a few minutes later the 3g will come back.
It is especially common while driving with tomtom on, ttn6.
If I switch the 3g off I never get this error.
Any suggestions, is this an orange problem?
its probably just poor coverage
Hi,
When data is downloading on the phone on 4G, then when a quit an 4G area, the phone keep trying downloading in 4G, not switching back in 3G.

Hi all
The past 2 days I seem to be having an issue with intermittent 4G coverage...
It will connect to 4G but have a small X next to it in the top menu. I receive no internet however.
What does the X mean as I can't find the answer anywhere, and is it an issue with my phone or my service provider?
I am on EE UK and running 7.1.1 Beta NPF10C
I have restarted, turned on and off airplane mode, reset my APN to no avail.
Anything else you need to need to know I will provide
Thanks in advance
I have had the same problems occasionally & I think it's an EE fault. It basically means you have a 4G connection but no internet access. Toggling mobile data off, waiting a minute or two, and re-enabling seems to get a new connection.
It's all too frequently dropping 4G or LTE connection when on the move. It's showing a connection, good strength too, but no data connection working. Often needing an airplane mode toggle or reboot to get online again.
5G is disabled as I'm nowhere near a 5G area.
Anyone got any ideas? Different firmware or something?
I'm starting to regret moving away from the SD note 10 plus I had. That phone was rock solid.

I read that some people have issues with connection with some ISP providers. Try putting it on 3G and see if it works fine then. If it does then ISP has either sn issue with 4G network or phone needs a firmware fix to solve 4G connection issue if this isn't a hardware problem thought. Since for me it works fine here and my 4G shows all time and I even have 4G+ as status without an issue.
try disabling WiFi calling that helped in my case
Tried all that. Went into a town and it didn't again.. Had to force it onto 4g to get a connection.

Haven't had any issues myself, on giffgaff. Tried O2 briefly, it seemed okay too.

Give this app a try, might help fixing it to one band
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ray.samsungbandselection
Yes u have that thanks. It seems to be band switching that's the problem. Or is it possible my carrier has live but unused bands that the phone is locking into? So when I travel I find myself with a dead data connection?
