Can TA-1000 root after July update? - Nokia 6 Questions & Answers

I am updating now

I don't own a Nokia 6 (yet). Is there any official root method or for the US variant?

There's no official or unofficial root method for any variant as yet...

If I root my OP2, will I be getting official Updates. I am from India
You will get official updates but once you install them but once do you, you lose root and have to flash #supersu all over again

Question - CF-Auto-Root for 7.0 Official ROM?

Hi,
I've been checking the cf-auto-root site from Chainfire, but for the SM-G935F it still says based on 6.0.1 and I was wondering if that one works on 7.0 or if I should wait till it comes out one for 7.0
Thanks,

CF-Autoroot does not work properly with Nougat 7 yet.
You need to use the twrp/supersu rooting method
for Nougat 7
Good luck, have a great day!

LG V20 (VS995) Unlocked. Any way to update to Oreo?

As the title says, I was wondering if there's a way to update to Oreo on an unlocked phone. Or will I have to root it?
Currently using PagePlus as the carrier.
Thanks.

I tried this and it said no updates available.
The VZW Utility Application has a security update available (I'm currently on Dec 2016.) I'm assuming this has nothing to do with an OS update?

Probably not, but if you can take that update it would be a good idea. If you don't get the Oreo ota you'll have to wait for a kdz or a stock zip.

AFAIK, there's no roor exploit available for lg v20 oreo yet. You can try flashing alpha omega rom oreo. VS995 is one of their supported devices.

First you'll need to downgrade, root via dirty santa, then flash the patched oreo rom or alpha rom version
