Hi, i'm in the uk and just bought an lg g6 h870 off ebay. I was wondering if I could put a European or uk version of the firmware on it at all? Couple of reasons... 1 to get rid of the t mobile splash screen at startup and 2. I want to be able to sell it on and not have a potential buyer worried that its the American version? Also, will this phone work ok in the uk anyway? I've just switched it on and all seems to be ok with my phone calls and wifi etc
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks in advance Alan
Just flash open EU Open 10L kdz, but to get rid of the bloatware you need to do a hard reset with buttons (which wipes the device so do backup) that will wipe all bloatware. Then restore.

That's great thanks! I don't have any data on it anyway so happy to reset! So I flash the firmware then hard reset or the other way around?
First reset, then connect phone and flash, but you'll need to install LGUP and UPPERCUT to flash the kdz.

Sounds complicated. I have teamviewer... Could I pay you to do it for me please?
It's really simple, download and install LGUP, UPPERCUT and LG drivers, then download the kdz from here https://lg-firmwares.com/download-file/?fileId=9855, then connect phone via cable in transfer mode, and start LGUP subject refurbish and select kdz, and press start, wait for process to finish, done.

yeah, got 5 minutes left! I've just done the hard reset and i'm now back on the welcome screen. How do I put it in transfer mode now? Or will it just happen once I open the software to put the firmware on?
Just leave phone on the language selection screen, install all the software bits on the pc, then reboot pc, when you connect phone to pc, select files transfer mode on phone in dropdown (default is Charge only). Open LGUP select refurbish on 3 dit menu browser to disclosed kdz, abject then press start.

All nearly sorted but its saying kdz file invalid as I download h870 eu version and my phone is h872 but I've looked on the list and theres only north American for h872?
In your original mail you said H870, think the 872's are carrier locked...

I've put h872 in the title but then I've put h870 in the thread by mistake sorry!!! It's the h872 that I have unfortunately. Is there no way I can put different software on then? I've been able to use a few different carrier sims no problem if that means anything?
H872 is USA locked from checking on the web, so it's not an unlocked device which limits what you can do, sorry.

Would unlocking the boot loader help or is that irrelevant?
Don't think the H872 can be unlocked yet, only the US 997 and Euro 870 can be unlocked.

If I can use, ee, Vodafone, o2 and all different carrier sims in the uk does that mean its already unlocked?
Yip, sounds like it, but since it's 872 the 870 kdz won't work.

I'm sorry to hear that[emoji20], the only solution I can think of now is unrooting your phone by flashing back to a fresh LG Stock Rom, I'll give you a link to the files and instructions on how to go about doing this.[emoji4]

Hey guyz
My LG G2 Device is recently hard bricked
and I am stuck at fastboot
but it is not fully working
If I type fastboot devices I get
"? fastboot"
then I tried fastboot reboot n I get
"rebooting..."
But nothing actually happens and phone never reboots :\
Any IDEA Any ONE ?!
Do you know the exact model of your phone. Please check before you continue because toy can further brick your phone if you do not flash the right stuff. Also it would be helpful to know what ROM you were running previously. KitKat or lollipop?

Oh. One last thing, make sure your battery ribbon cable is disconnected and USB is connected to the computer when you are shorting the pins. Also, make sure every connector is connected otherwise you will risk break your screen.

Yeah I was able to get in qhusb_bulk mode and in windows 8.1 64bit it was showing lots of disks asking to be formatted.
Then I installed ubuntu on virtual machine and tried to flash images with dd command and those were successful. I unpluged the usb and put the buttons plate back and restarted the phone but still no download mode. I even flashed twrp recovery but NOTHING!
and something that i noticed today that my phones motherboard is once changed and its d801 tmobile and not d800 :\
and something about my ubuntu, on virtual machine it recognizes the phone but disconnect/reconnects after 10secs automatically.
How can I use SRK Tool?
And I have to add In my device manager it shows qhsusub_bulk with a yellow icon meaning its not recognized Is that a problem? do i have to find drivers?
Download these drivers for qualcomm it will change it to qualcomm ... 9006 mode instead of QHSUSBBULK. http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...8&d=1308601930

Hi,
I've been having issues with my lg G6 since the Oreo update. It has been overheating and rebooting several times a day and sometimes does it in a loop. I've been getting messages that lots of apps including Google apps are not responding.
I have tried factory resetting the phone but still getting the same issues.
Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated
Thanks
