hey.. up to now i used ppcpimbackup.. but im looking for one which can backup e.g. my mail settings so after rom flash i dont have to configure my mail settings which makes no fun
can you help me !? mabye one tool which backups all, that would be nice
Sprite Backup
PS Best Backup Tool Does Not Exist.
SPB Backup
Resco Backup
Sprite Backup
all good backup tools
I Use
SPB Backup
and i think its great
SPB Backup cannot select the file you want to backup but Spirte Backup can choose which file you want to backup.
And i'm using SPB Backup. I got a question is each backup file only can restore once time?

If you choose Custom Restore:
Under My documents or system files. tap on the options button.
A window will open allowing to select almost all the file on your device to be selectively restored!!
The backup file created by SPB Backup can be used as many times as needed!

but after i restore i cannot found the backup file inside SPB Backup. It gone. Why?
I used to use SPB backup but after doing a full restore something happened with the password and I couldn't get into my phone so I needed to do another hard reset.
I've now swapped to using Sprite backup and I'm very happy with it, I did a full restore from the very useful self-executable backup file and everything went perfectly!
I'm an avid Sprite user. I think its spectacular. As stated earlier the self executable is great too.
I used to like SPB Backup, but after many backups i came to the conclusion that it SUCKS. It has problems backing certain files, never restores everything to the full and even if it does, the phones is laggy and needs a good ol' hard reset.
I'll never use SPB Backup again. It doesn't do it's job. Yes, it restores your files, but what is the point, if the phone is unuseable after that and needs a hard reset?
Stupid app. I'm gonna try that Sprite software all of you are recommending.
So the Sprite Backup better then SPB Backup?
What about sktools?
Has anyone tried the sktools' backup? I have it installed but haven't tested yet. Previously I had sprite backup 6 but it didn't work correctly when I tried to take a backup and had to hard reset and lost almost everything on device.

Why not to use both programs?!
What is the best backup tool for Android to backup the whole system into an image file that can be easily restored with a one click operation?... lets say the equivalent to SPB Backup or Resco backup on WinMo?
Thanks for the input!
Hey guys,
So I recreated a 100% stock device to update to 4.2.2 and had all my Titanium Backup files in a folder on my PC. I then successfully
updated, rooted, and am running stock ROM with no kernels. I cut and pasted all the Titanium files into the newly created folder in my device
but nothing shows up in my restore options. Please help as I am in dire need of the information in the backups. Thanks in advance.
a little information on what you did would be nice
i'm assuming you:
installed titanium backup
copied your old backup files into sdcard/titaniumbackup (this folder should be automatically created if you installed tbackup)
then open titanium backup?
if it doesn't see the backups kill the app and restart it
if that doesn't work, try backing up a random application and see where the information is being stored on your tablet. then move your old files into that same folder.
remember that if you're restoring applications that you haven't installed, it will be listed at the bottom of the app list in tbackup with a line through the name
Had to reinstall Titanium Backup and then do the whole kill app/restart process and it worked. Thanks a lot!
Thanks mate....lifesaver

I've emailed Titanium Backup twice and they never respond, so I thought I'd try my luck here.
Is there a way to backup the custom filters created inside Titanium Backup?

The filters are saved in /data/data/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup/databases/filters and custom so just backup those files
Did anyone manage to get the Titanium Backup app working along with Magisk?
Before flashing the Magisk-patched boot.img Titanium Backup was working, not it fast closes on me. So I suspect it's Magisk causing it...but I need root so that Titanium Backup can work.
Uninstall Titanium backup, then with a root explorer find a delete all Titanium Backup files and folders you can find that are left over.
Reinstall Titanium Backup.
This worked for me.
