Please I own a SM-910H version of the Galaxy Note 4. I tried to flash the N5 ported Sixperience rom but I was experiencing a bootloop because my bootloader wasn't a lollipop 5.1.1 bootloader. I downloaded the 5.1.1 bootloader (910HXXU1COH4) and for some unknown reason I'm not able to flash via odin. It fails whenever it gets to "sboot.bi". I tried flashing the stock firmware, both lollipop 5.0.2 and 5.1.1 but they all fail when it gets to "sboot.bin". But I'm able to flash Recoveries and 910HXXU2COJ4 bootloader.
I reverted back to stock kernel and recovery and still didn't solve the problem. I tried to flash CyanogenMod 12.1 via recovery it also didn't work.
Please I need help to fix this problem because I'm afraid it might affect me in the coming months if I want to flash android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Below are the information on my phone frmware
Hi,
i want to buy a new note 4 - the version 910f.
If i update the new phone with stock 4.4.4 rom to the latest 5.1.1 - will there be any problem if i want to install root or anything like this later on? Can i still install custom roms?
I want to now this, becqause if i update my new amazon fire 7 (2015) to latest stock 5.1.1 rom - there is no chance to start recovery anymore for installing custom rom. With only 5.0.1 all is good and i can install custom rom with recovery.
Is there a similar problem with note 4 or can i install latest stock rom and won´t get any problems later?
Only thing i found is that i can´t go back to 4.4.4 when installing 5.1.1? And i can´t go back to 5 when i´m installaing marshmallow because of changing partitions size?
So if i go to stock 5.1.1 it doesn´t matter, because i don´t want to use 4.4.4 and i can still use all stock roms and change to marshmallow later?

No problem if you don't plan to use 4.4.4. Note that if you update to latest 5.1.1
>your bootloader will be locked you can't go back to previous roms or use custom roms which are based on earlier versions such as 4.4.4 custom roms or 5.0.1 custom roms.
>you can still root your phone install custom recovery and install custom roms which have newer bootloaders. However rooting 5.1.1 is bit different because with android 5.1.1 there is an extra security layer in the kernel which detects and stops device from being rooted you need a "permissive kernel" to root 5.1.1. And then you can do whatever you like.
Would it be a better decision to stay on 5.0.1 for the moment and later install 5.1.1 custom rom? To not loose unlocked bootloader?
And one more question: if I deactivate bloatware in application setting off stock rom, is bloatware complete deactivated or is it still running in the background somehow?

You can install 5.1.1 with these bootloaders coj3, coi3, pok1 , coh4 these are safe and won't lock your bootloader. i'd recommend 5.1.1 over 5.0.1 because the difference is day and night in long term use (when u have many apps) 5.1.1 is much smoother and better battery life just don't install coj5 or newer bootloaders. I don't use custom roms because in my experience stock rom is the best custom roms have some bugs etc. If you deactivate bloatware in application settings then its no more running in background.
OK, thank you. But so I should deactivate ota updates and flash latest stock update with Odin, so that I don't get latest locked bootloader?
How can i update to latest 5.1.1 update and keeping the (old) unlocked bootloader?
Do i have to donwload version from smamobile and flash with odin? How can i disallow to update bootloader too?
And if i update with ota - i will get latest (locked) bootlader automatically - no chance anymore to remove it?
-----------------------------
I don´t want to root my phone the first time (because of knox) but later on i maybe want to root too.

There is no way to be sure if the older bootloader will work with latest 5.1.1 rom. So its better to stick with the bootloader which comes with the rom and yes if you update with OTA you will get latest 5.1.1 and bootloader automatically. Just go to sammobile and download 5.1.1 with COJ3, COi3, or POK1 (nordic countries). and Flash with odin.
From day one on my new Op2 I flashed the official MM 3.0 Beta. After a week I decided to try the 2.2.1 Lollipop to see if anything were different... I had to use a kind of downgrade and recovery to downgrade and once that was done everything went fine.
Now I want to try a MM Rom (not the official beta). Can I just flash any MM rom, as long as I have a recovery that supports both Lollipop and Marshmallow (I saw one in the forum) or do I have to do anything else?

Flash right away, maybe u need the old / new modem
Regards,
Taker
Just flash rom and gapps normally. Depends on rom which modem you need. You can check it from op.
First is your bootloader unlock and do you have TWRP?
N910T TMOBILE NOTE 4 IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DOWNGRADE TO OFFICIAL KITKAT BUT AFTER LOT OF RESEARCH I FOUND WITH N910T2 KITKAT FIRMWARE IT'S POSSIBLE AND I HAVE TESTED IT 100% WORKING.
YOU CAN DOWNGRADE DIRECTLY TO N910T2 KITKAT FIRMWARE NO MATTER YOU ARE ON 5.0 5.1.1 OR 6.0.1
JUST FLASH WITH ODIN N910T2 KITKAT FIRMWARE AND WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET AND WIPE CACHE IMMEDIATELY AFTER FLASH.
N910T2 FIRMWARE RUNS FLAWLESS ON N910T AND NO BUGS AT ALL EVERYTHING WORKING 100% EXACTLY LIKE N910F INTERNATIONAL VARIANT. NO TMOBILE APPS BLOATWARE NO TMOBILE BOOT ANIMATION OR SHUTDOWN ANIMATIONS NO WIFI CALLING.
DON'T TRY TO FLASH OFFICIAL N910T KITKAT FIRMWARE AFTER DOWNGRADE IT WILL NOT WORK I HAVE ALL READY TESTED IT.
NOW YOU CAN ENJOY KITKAT AGAIN WITH AMAZING BATTERY LIFE AND SPEED ALONG WITH CUSTOM ROMS LIKE DYNAMIC KAT, FIREKAT,INFAMOUS ETC.
YOU CAN FLASH AND ENJOY ANY CUSTOM KITKAT ROM WITH TWRP AND NADIA 4.4.4 KERNEL.
PLEASE NOTE-_- WIFI CALLING IS NOT SUPPORTED WITH N910T2 FIRMWARE .
IF YOU WANT WIFI CALLING FLASH ANY N910T BASED KITKAT ROM IN TWRP WITH NADIA KERNEL.
THIS METHOD ONLY FOR N910T T-MOBILE NOTE 4
IT WILL NOT WORK ON N910T3 OR ANY OTHER MODELS.

Yesterday i was messing around to downgrade from marshmallow to kitkat on my n910t but no luck since our locked bootloader but accidentally i downloaded n910t2 firmware from sammobiles.com and i thought i give it a try and guess what i fully downgrade to kithat without any errors in odin and firmware runs flawlessly on n910t everything works expect no wifi calling i think n910t2 is a modified firmware for those who dont want tmobile crap and bloatware the only issue i face when phone boot up is the playstore was lagging but after an hour phone settle down and works awesome 4glte and signal works great .remember no wifi calling supported in this firmware and your model number will change to n910t2 even tmobile boot animation logo not exist. It looks and run exatly like international n910f 4.4.4. After i downgraded i flash twrp and flashed drketen 4.4.4 rom and it works flawless so i did try to flash firekat and dynamic kat but they did not works with n910t2 bootloader.and also 1 thing i want to mention that i easily upgraded again to 5.1.1 dok2 and 6.0.1 epg2 firmware so no worries to switch back.

Yes i did but sadly it doesn't works. I am preety sure that bootloader is not locked since i was able to downgrade by n910t2 kitkat firmware .Maybe tmobile put some kind of code thats why we cant downgrade to n910t kitkat .anyway atleast we can downgrade officially without rooting to kitkat at this point.but i am still trying to figure out if i can flash offcial n910t 4.4.4 firmware.
Hey bro..do you know how to extract the tar and make a baseband and BL only tar...it would be alot easier than downloading the whole firmware at 15kb a sec ha...if not I can do it if someone can upload the firmware to mega or drive

Download link to mega uploaded in thread.
It's not really I guess...it just makes it easier for anyone wanting to try it...because using a kk rom and twrp recovery you only need the baseband and BL...and it's less of a chance to mess up efs or something than when flashing the whole firmware
Updating from PG2 MM with lock the bootloader?

Yea i did try to flash ank4 but odin fails . You can downgrade to n910t2 kitkat bootloader but not n910t kitkat or even 5.0 lollipop odin will simply fail every time i donno why but good thing is somehow you can still enjoy kitkat.i am running kitkat n910t2 firmware on n910t and everything works perfect wifi/data/xposed/all sensors nothing is broken only wifi calling missing and battery life ofcourse kitkat is best. You can still flash kitkat roms but only international n910f ported kitkat roms i guess but you can try with different kernels if you wanna still use ank4 base roms .

Try flashfire. You can download just the bootloader and modem from a dev and try that program

Do you know it works ? I think not because the logic of not allowing older bootloader is in the phone and not in Odin

Yeah but custom 4.4.4 would have been even better..I will try t2 rom. .from sammobile right ? Also what msg u get when u flash custom rom on t2 firmware. ...and whilet flashing 910t 4.4.4 using odin .did u try repartition using pit file ?
I heard lot of good things about FireKat 4.4.4 rom , that is why i wanted to do this whole process of downgrading.
I don't know if it would work. I'm on a W8. Wouldn't hurt to try.

Kindly guide me someone i want to downgrade to marshmallow on SM G935A .. i have tried the apk1 rom but failed to flash please help...
You'll get used to Oreo, it's pretty good so far.
Assuming it's still on bootloader 4, you can downgrade to any firmware build using BL4. I don't recall off the top of my head if there was ever a MM build that used BL4, but that's the restriction. Anything else will either not flash or brick your device. You will need a modded version of ODIN to do the downgrade.
why do you want to downgrade?
