Samsung-specific apps cannot be installed on AOSP ROMs because of changes Samsung makes to Android source code. Not only is the source code dramatically altered, Samsung includes a second framework specifically for Touchwiz. The Samsung apps are not only linked to the Android framework app, but the Samsung one as well.
The Play Store has plenty of gallery apps as well as file explorers. My Files is just a fancy name for the "Downloads" link found on AOSP. If you use the Samsung Store for themes, you will have to learn to use Substratum instead. And of course you have the Play Store for your apps, including Substratum. If the changes made when moving to Android 7.x ROMs are too dramatic for you, then you need to either install a Touchwiz ROM like WizCyan, or you need to go back to stock.

I want to be able to use the Samsung allshare app on my phone. I am currently running iNTriNsiC 7-16 and that has all the all share app removed and all of the connected apps with it. I was wondering what specific apps are required to run allshare and how would i install them. Would i have to flash them through recovery or could i just put them in the system apps folder then change the permissions and install the apk?
Go to Negalite ROM thread, second post has a flash able for removed apps. It is Aroma driven and you can install from there. The aroma installer has option to select which apps you want back in. It also installs the libraries etc required to make Samsung apps work. As always make a nan droid first just in case.

Hi,
you can try SACS23 Rom just download his Version V4 which has 3minit settings the newer ones have the FRAMEWORK you would have to purchase the the app for it otherwise it would give you SystemUI error....I think his rom has the Allshare app included as he leaves some of the Samsung apps on it.. try it out its an awesome rom.

I can confirm his rom does have all share
Sent from my SPH-L720 using xda app-developers app
All i really want are themes to make my device look cool
and i heard you need roms to install themes
i unlock root device perfectly fine
but everytime i try to install a rom my device ****s up and im forced to reset
(the rom loads up but the device only has like 3 apps no play store and stuff like that, no google features which i like)
so it is possible on stock rom?
For custom roms you have to flash a Google Apps (Gapps) package separately. This contains all the google apps you need.
Btw, you can try installing Xposed Framework and XThemeEngine. They require root.
Or wait for the Themer app by MyScreenColor to be released. It will be a non-root app and contains awesome designer themes.

how do i know which Gapp i need?
im trying to install carbon 1.8
Most of the times, there are links for both the rom and the proper gapps package in the threads. If you can't find it there, download one from here: http://goo.im/gapps
I suppose you could just use a 3rd party launch that you could just re-theme? Not sure if you're talking more about the innards of the OS. I think your only option may be to root.
edit: someone already posted my idea, whoops.
Hey Ppl
I've tested some of Samsung´s Apps on my Galaxy S4 Mini with Cm 11.
I've only tested stock Apps not modified Apps...
3 of 12 Apps are compatible with CM...
ChatOn
S HealtH
WatchOn
The rest required TW framework (FC on CM )...

I'm sure it some other Samsung service these software requires it though. I delete the TW launcher using Titanium Backup and use a lightweight launcher on the stock ROM. Most these app still works (except the TW widgets, which non-works).

I didn't say I use CM? I simply said I delete the TouchWiz laucher from my stock Samsung ROM on my S3 4.1.2 using Titanium Back-up. Just implying that TouchWiz isn't responsible for some of the app to function, but some other service.

You're wrong - there are different between Touchwiz Launcher and Touchwiz Framework. CM has none of them. So yes you can' t still install Samsung Stock Apps with TW requirement on CM...
Touchwiz Launcher has nothing to do with the stock apps its just a launcher

I did imply "TouchWiz isn't responsible for some of the app to function, but some other service". I'm sorry, it just seems vague to say TouchWiz "framework" while there could be so many thing and you put all the possibility under one umbrella. You're partially wrong too about the TW Laucher, few apps can't work without it even at stock ROM.
I'm not here to argue, but there's so many hidden Samsung service you could try also to port instead of just the app itself. Heck it may be even Kernel related I don't know. Just giving my two cents.
HI~
Thank you very much
Does anyone have a copy of the Samsung music player app for GT-I9192? I flashed CarbonRom and the app disappeared from the phone. I really would like to get that app back onto my phone. Every time I try to install it from other places, including ones I've found on here, the installation fails, any idea why?
I have a bit of a favor for those with root on the stock Essential ROM...
I'm on Lineage OS now, but I forgot to grab the Essential Dialer APK before I switched over. Since that dialer is essentially the Google Dialer, I know it should work fine on Lineage. I'm just hesitant to grab it from APK Mirror because there are so many versions of it that I don't know which would even be compatible.
Thanks for any help! Love this community!!!
Maybe i´m wrong but after you installed Lineage and Gapps open Google Play Store and search for the Google Dialer. Its the same apk and thru Google Play Store you get the right vision, automatically.
it's the stock google dialer. for whatever reason, all the google functions still work on essential. not sure why, because non-google phones if you side load it, the search functions don't work.

It's weird. On Lineage, the Play store doesn't give me the Dialer in any results. So as a result, I tried just sideloading the latest compatible version from APK Mirror and it made my phone go a bit crazy. Perhaps I'll just use the regular Dialer that comes loaded with Lineage. Thanks guys.
On lineage, I installed the stock Google phone app because I wanted spam blocking. The phone app worked fine, I was able to make it the default app, and spam filtering worked... Until I rebooted and got repeat errors that wouldn't let the os load, effectively soft bricking the phone. I had to re install lineage. Just an fyi

When I installed Lineage and did a restore, it automatically downloaded the Google Dialer from the Playstore for me.
The phone apk the comes on essential's stock ROM is Google's dialer apk. When you install any LOS or AOSP based ROM you are getting the EXACT same thing. Lineage likes to use an older version of it, reasons why idk, but if you install Gapps you will get Google dialer out of the box and will be able to update to the latest version. Even the stock launcher, quickstep, is used in most of these ROMS, as well as on essential phone, stock ROM. You didn't miss getting anything installing Gapps does add apks and features that don't come stock on essential's stock ROM, along with whatever features the custom ROM you picked may have added but speaking strictly and specifically about the dialer itself it is exactly the same as Google Dialer APK

You're close... But wrong...
Any "LOS or AOSP" ROM is supposed to ship with the AOSP dialer... Because of its OSS nature...
The Google dialer is the AOSP dialer... But with much proprietary code added...
This should not ship with "any LOS or AOSP" ROM... Though it does... Because people can't read instructions on how to flash on A/B devices...
Anything associated with Google services... Is supposed to come via a GAPPS package...
Hello people ^^
I'm trying to get samsung's music player app and some other samsung apps on my mi a1 because honestly i hate all other players.
I tried several methods where I put the apps in my system/priv-apps and change permissions and reboot,
It shows up perfectly in app drawer but forces close instantly.
I reviewd the Log and it said "Samsung SDK not found".
Is there a way to bypass this? Preferably without flashing any custom roms.
And if not will a custom samsung based rom play the app?
Or can I modify the apk and remove the samsung SDK requirement then recompile it maybe?
Thanks in advance ^^
