Hey guys, kind of a funny thing; my T-Mobile On5 (I got pretty much for free..) had a hardware error a few months ago, so I RMA'd it to Samsung, and they sent me back a MetroPCS On5 (supposedly replaced the main board). I didn't really care at the time because I wasn't planning on using the phone as a phone anyway, and thought that I could just flash a custom ROM if I ever needed to and that would unlock the phone (..nope?).
Phone has TWRP recovery w/ SuperSU, currently still on the MetroPCS stock ROM.
Any way I can get this thing working with a T-Mobile SIM? Preferably with a T-Mobile (or barebones universal) ROM?
Thanks!!

Hey guys,
I unlocked my galaxy s4 from AT&T and now I use T-Mobile. I was wondering if I could use the t-mobile rom since I would like to use the tethering and wifi calls from it.
I don't really want any custom rom, just because I'm fine with the carrier ones.. so I searched somethings and I figured out that I could use the t-mobile rom with loki doki.
Can I just instal the stock firmare of t-mobile? (It would be the M919UVUEMK2)
By the way, right now I'm running the MF3 and idk why I don't receive the OTA update (never received, I suspect that's because I unlocked it)
I found some other posts but unfortunately it doesn't contain enough information.

I would like to know if it's possible to port the stock ROM of Japanese variant of the LG G2 (L-01F) to an AT&T LG G2?
I travel a LOT to Tokyo and using my phone on AT&T will just cost me an arm and 50 legs when I'm half across the world.
I'm thinking if I just flash the stock ROM of the Docomo version that it'll work, swap out my AT&T SIM card for a Docomo SIM card - flash the ROM and be good on the go. And when I go back to the states I'll just restore the nandroid of my AT&T stock ROM and slip in my AT&T card.
What exactly does it take to port the ROM over? I'm hearing that just flashing the ROM and flashing the AT&T kernel would work just fine.
Thanks for the help!
Bump, I really hope I've posted this in the right section.
I'm not a developer or anything, but wouldn't you need to unlock your phone for this?

Yes my phone is unlocked but some off the apps that are exclusive to Docomo handsets are locked and some are tied to their ROM framework and such. I tried downloading certain apps to see if I can get them to work on the AT&T ROM but it's a no go :\
Hey guys, so I bought recently a galaxy s5 in USA (I'm not living in USA).
The Galaxy s5 I bought is a Verizon's version, I think its called CDMA.
so anyway, I wanted to boot this phone and install a different ROM on it.
Right now its unlocked and I can use my own SIM card and it works just fine but I'm worried about the fact that I don't know how is unlocking works.. I don't want to install a different ROM and then my SIM won't work..
If something like this might happen, how can I make sure about it?
Thank you.
Anyone....?
i have an AT&T s5 and am also wondering the same question!
No answer =/
As the title states, I bought an AT&T S5 for my wife for christmas. She likes some of the stock apps that tmobile offers and I was wondering if i could just install the tmobile rom on the AT&T phone with minimal risk.
Thanks for the help.
I got my wife an AT&T a few years ago with my upgrade credit (I'm on AT&T). She's been using it as an amped-up PDA without a phone plan. This weekend, we unlocked it and put it on a T-Mobile pay as you go plan (because it's cheap, let's not get side-tracked with the why's, please). The phone hasn't been updated since she got it (it's still on 4.2.2), and I've convinced her it's finally time to let me do it. We're going to reset the whole thing, anyway, so my question is, will the unlocked AT&T version of the GS4 function properly with the T-Mobile GS4 firmware?
You want to flash T-Mobile firmware to the att s4 or do you want to know if an updated att s4 will work on the T-Mobile network?
I don't think you can flash T-Mobile firmware to the att s4 as this could brick the phone.
Since T-Mobile is transitioning off their aws system, the unlocked att s4 may work without any modification of the phone's modem software.
