Hi all,
I just got a Asus 3 Zoom. I am trying to use my ADB on my PC with it. I connect to all my other phones no problem. But for the Asus 3 Zoom it keep saying "no device" when I type the command "ADB Devices". The wire is working no problem. I was even able to transfer files back and forth.
I went to the Asus website and they only seem to have driver for WIndows XP and Vista.
https://www.asus.com/us/support/Download/39/1/0/34/9SoRMwDr1H1GB6cb/32/
Can someone please teach me how to connect? Thanks!
NVM the ADB works flawlessly at a Windows 10 computer. It seems the issue is with Windows 7.

Is anyone having problems with adb and vista?
When I start the adb shell I can type about 2 or 3 commands and then it stops responding. When I type the 3rd command or so instead of it going back to # at the command prompt it just goes to the next line with out a prompt.
Also when this happens I go to task manager and try to shut down the adb.exe but it won't I have to reboot my computer.
I have a laptop and a usb keyboard when I start have the problems with adb my key board wont work ether. So I have tried it with out the usb key board but have the same problem.
I have also tried running adb and xp compatible but still have the same problem. Is there anything else I can use other than adb?
I am having problems as well. I flashed my custom boot image yesterday and now today it is saying that it cannot find my device. It has worked since December and then today, nothing. In Need of Help.
What version of vista are you using??,,, additionally this should be moved to the "Dream" Section
I have Ultimate x64, have no issues. I assume you have the proper drivers as you can do a couple commands, yes??
Vista 32 Ultimate here and I've never had an issue. Go to the Device Manager and see what it shows when ADB stops working. Sounds like your USB controllers are taking a ****.
I'm using vista 32 bit. I think I'm haveing a usb conflict.
Sorry for posting in the wrong forum
I have Ultimate x64 and no problems.
I had a problem with the driver that was configured to G1. Maybe..
I have Vista Home Premium x64. On Vista SP1 I had no problems. After upgrading to SP2 the adb will connect once and in Eclipse I can get a few commands through, then it hangs. After that I cannot kill the adb process, nor get any response from an adb command.
When I roll back to SP1 it works again. Though under SP1 it is still not completely stable, however it is always possible to kill the adb process and connect the device again.
I have been trying to get my Tf101 to connect to ADB for a good 6+ hours now. I have installed the asus software and drivers, I have installed the drivers that I found here for the APX, ADB, ext stuff and I still cannot connect. No matter how many times I kill and start the ADB server or try to use the ADB exe from the SDK or use the one from viper mod it's just says
List of devices attached
Nothing else is displayed.
got device manager to now have an android device tab with the asus transformer adb interface under it. still no luck.
BTW, window 7 pro x64.
Solved, apparently the tablet needs to be in USb camera mode.
Hello!
I'd really like to use SideSync 3 from Samsung with my Note 4, because I work on my computer alot and it would be very handy to operate my phone via comp.
I had it set up on my ex personal PC via USB, but I can't get it to work on my ASUS laptop.
Problem: I install SideSync 3 from http://www.samsung.com/us/sidesync/ and after I start the program nothing happens. It's like it freezes on opening and doesn't start. I was looking in the running processes but can't find any clue that is actualy running nor anything. I tried running as admin, tried system compatibility with win 8, 7, xp, dpi changes, admin rights... nothing works.
Any idea?
I'd be really happy if someone helped me out! =)
Sorry this won't help much. But it's working fine on WiFi. 8.1 Windows. Check you have latest version from Samsung on your note

Same problem here on Asus laptop with Windows 8.1
Same problem here.
Any ideas?
hi ,
i noticed that you are trying to get SideSync 3 it to work on Win 8.1 (PC /USB .)
However ,i have Acer laptop Win 8 ( have not updated laptop to Win 8.1 ) SideSync 3 works fine. (No freezes or nothing, smooth, no problems at all )
Note 4 / USB connected .
Maybe you can " read " something into why it works on Win 8, since you " tried system compatibility with win 8" ?
Good luck
I have same problem. I tried on 3 different computers (Win 10, Win 8.1 and Win 7). To my suprise I can't run this app on any computer. It just will not start - at least it seams so. I also tried different compability modes and run it as administrator, but no success (it's same experience as miHah).
This is not a problem of phone (I use S6 Edge) - the phone is recognized when connected by USB (and I can browse/edit content on phone from pc). It just wont work with SideSync. BTW: I tried with SideSync version 3 and 4. Same results - doesnt run.
I have similar problem. I am unable to install samsung sidesync because it freezes my Windows 10 pc while installing samsung usb drivers for mobile devices. I am also unable to uninstall samsung usb drivers. Everytime I forced to reset my pc. Any ideas?
I have same issues and very confused
Admin rights requested on startup
At any time when I reboot, as Sidesync is started during boot sequence, when I login in, the Admin rights autorisation opened as I am not admin by default.
Any clue or advice for this ?
Thanks
jp
Same here
Do you guys also have keis 3 installed? I was able to start sidesync. I hadn't had any devices linked yet but I installed keis 3 and now it is doing the same (not even starting). I noticed when I downloaded sidesync from the Samsung website, it notified me I needed to update keis 3 and uninstalled it when I accepted the update. I wonder if it has something to do with both programs being installed or if you also need sidesync source on the computer as well. BTW I'm running acer win 7.
This guide is for people that have always problems with drivers, ADB or fastboot problems, with this guide you will clear all.
Tested and working with windows 8.1 (it will work with all other versions of windows, probably not with Windows 10 preview).
*0) Unplug of course the phone from the PC
1) Download USBDeview (32bit version here http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usbdeview.zip - 64bit version here http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/usbdeview-x64.zip) to erase every driver on the pc (look under "Description" tab and uninstall all Asus things, MOOREFIELD, delete also your previous phones drivers or unused devices)
2) Reboot
3) If you are on windows 8 or 8.1 disable driver signature verification and than install
1- Intel Drivers https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-usb-driver-for-android-devices
2- ADB Installer http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118#post48915118 (don't change installation path)
4) Reboot
5) Go in C:/adb, hold shift on keyboard, right click in the folder and "Open command prompt here"
6) Go to recovery with the phone plugged in
7) Tap apply update from ADB Sideload
7) Type in the previous cmd window: adb devices
If you can see your device, congratulations!
Thanks to @cangcan to this other tip:
If you installed bluestack on your pc, adb will show 'device emulator' something like that and you need to turn off the bluestack service..
1. Go to start and type services.msc
2. Look for Bluestack android service
3. Stop or disable the service
Its messing up my adb connection in windows 7 and now the zf2 device is recognised on adb after disabled Bluestack services..
Thanks to- Everyone in this section
Snoop05 for "15 seconds ADB Installer"

Hello, I badly need someones assistance. I accidentally installed the OTA update on my rooted zenfone 2 causing it to be bricked. I have spent the last 3 hours uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers per the above directions. My PC recognized when I connect the phone via USB, and it is showing up as a working device in the device manager screen. It shows the drivers are installed properly and everything but I just cannot view it. I tried disabling the bluestack (it actually was not turned on but I made sure to disable it in case) and that did not work as well. I now have a zenfone 2 that is currently a paperweight and I cannot for the life of me figure out what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for this
I am trying to downgrade my Nokia 5 to android 7.1. Currently, it's running on android 9. I tried this method.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...oreo-to-nougat-for-bootloader-unlock.3893053/
But Windows PowerShell was unable to detect any device. So, then I searched and installed some drivers like these
But no work.
Then I found a solution in here
nokia phone not detected using adb via windows PC
I have connected Nokia 1 TA-1066 phone to windows PC via USB cable after enabling USB debugging in setting->System->Developer Options. on the command prompt, I am unable to get the device after executing #adb devices. Do I need any specific...
forum.xda-developers.com
But there is no option called audio source, so I selected MIDI, also no work and platform-tool windows link is not working, so I searched google and downloaded this https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools, and it didn't work either.
All after this, something came to my mind.
Does Nokia 5 needs an unlocked bootloader to do the downgrading process?
Otherwise, Is there another way to do this? Like I saw on YouTube, someone is using ntool to do the process, but I don't know is it safe or not.
And what could be wrong with ADB? Why it's not detecting my phone?
Thanks
