But this is just a temporary fix, so get your info and then i would recommend doing a factory reset or trying the forgot password method (If you havent tried that yet)

[Q] Apps Won't Install From Amazon Appstore

I just updated to 6.2, re-rooted and got Market going again and I noticed that I can't get apps from the Amazon app store to install. They will download, but then sit at the "installing" phase forever. When I restart the Kindle Fire sometimes it will try to install them again but it never finishes.
Any ideas?
Figured it out...
Go to settings -> Applications -> Filter to show all applications and select the amazon appstore.
Then clear all storage data and clear the cache.
Whew.
Thanks for the tip and actually explaining how you fixed it. Too many people just post "Got it!".

If you used the Vending.apk when installing the Android Market then uninstall and try using com.amarket.apk. I found one linked to in this thread.
I was having the same problem until I switched with .apk I was using. Cleared it right up.
I can't down load any apps says to contact customer support
I dont see the one that you're talking about do you have a solution for hd 8?

Insufficient Storage Space?

So I have a 16GB nexus 4 and I have about 8GB left, and I was updating ingress and it says I don't have sufficient storage?! I don't have the patience or time to deal with this, especially since my iPads iCloud account got ****ed all of 5 seconds before I tried to update ingress (coincidence?). I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it, and then tried restoring it from carbon, which didnt even install the app even though I have it set to back up .apks.... Ugh I'm pissed righ now, someone help me?
I have Franco.Kernel and CM if that's of any help

Clear the cache in recovery and reboot, that should fix it.
Didnt work
Alright, I just solved it by going into /data/app-libs and deleting the ingress folders... Seems to have fixed the issue
Try clearing both the cache and dalvik cache in recovery, maybe that helps.

clearing both the cache and dalvik cache in recovery and reboot, remove the /data/app sub directory etc all doesn't work for my N4. :crying:
Normally you shouldn't just arbitrarily delete folders.
It helps to do something as simple as going into Settings -> Apps -> All, then sorting by size to see what apps are hogging the most (since they usually include /sdcard storage attributed to them).
I have slot of free space from the storage info, is it correct?
So it should be a bug on nexus 4?

every startup i get this annoying popup. the internet has lead me to believe it is common and unobtrusive, and caused by apps who want to connect to the internet but wifi and data are off.

Not sure why RE doesnt see it, but its the same for me. Just use TiBu
when i went to delete CallForwardActivation in TiBu it prompts me to confirm the uninstall for '/system/priv-app/vzwPhoneExt.apk'
this apk and it's odex DO appear in RootExplorer.
instead of deleting callforward in TiBu i froze the apk and odex in RE
reboot and no more annoying popup!
Thanks @kashif87 and @cmh714 !!!
Freezing is the safer way to go anyway. If you had uninstalled it, you'd have to reinstall it or RSD back to stock to take an OTA.

OK Google Everywhere, on any AOSP Rom

ok all, i have got ok google working everywhere on rastapop now, an aosp rom, even with the phone sleeping. this will work on any aosp rom btw. this is what youll have to do.. first, thank @sykopompos for finding what all aosp builds are missing(i only did the testing since he doesnt have a n6 yet). secondly, download this zip http://goo.gl/7NUZZy , unzip it, open the folder and there will be three more folders. you want to remove the files from inside and use a root file explorer to place them into /system/ where each folder shows you where they go. after you finish, just reboot for it to take affect
ok, we have a flashable here now, by @hlxanthus that a few claim works, so ill go ahead and post the post/file here..

Alright guys, I took all this stuff and modified it as required. Also added backup/restore capability with addon.d support. Also seeing as this is kind of a final deal, went ahead and signed the package. Passed this to simms22 for his approval prior to adding it to the OP. But feedback from all of you is good too. Myself, I have never had wide success with the previous fixes. Never survived reboot or with screen off and unplugged. These new files seem to completely fix that. THANKS @sykopompos !!
Download - OkayGoogleEverywhere_shamu.v2.zip
Simply flash like any other package, and if you are not manually wiping /system, no need to flash again with every rom update!!

check again that you put the files into the right places.
the com.motorola.triggerenroll.xml goes into /system/etc/permissions/
the libtrainingcheck.so goes into /system/lib/
the triggerenroll.apk and triggertrainingservice.apk go into/system/priv-app/
it has worked for everyone so far.
Yeah it's not working for me either.

It works, but only temporarily (does not persist through reboot). Same as without this mod / fix.
Is this supposed to fix (enable it) or let it persist through reboot?
EDIT: Now it doesn't seem to work at all from screen-off. Cleared data, reboot, had to clear data again, train to my voice. Nothing.

it should persist, yes. as it does for me just fine. we are adding a few apks and other files, they dont disappear after a reboot, so should always persist until you change things or flash something over.
its so odd.. the far majority, everything works as it should. but for a few people it wont work. itll work temporarily, then a fc, then no more. odd.

On stock phones it should already work, you just have to turn it on in Google Now settings

It seems that for some people the TriggerEnroll.apk is force closing when trying to set up voice, sending it into a loop.

how to clear cached app on oreo

After updating to oreo,i couldn't find how to clear cached app, used to be in storage but couldn't find it now..pls help
Cache cleaning has to be done in individual apps in Oreo, don't know why they did that !
Hope some senior members suggest a suitable app for that, if available, thanks
You can try SD maid, it is a very useful app for cleaning out junk from your device. Also : CCleaner.
Those apps and others apps didn't really get the job done,i check individual apps, the caches still remains, the only app that really get the job done is titanium backup but its required root access
To clear cache
In Oreo you can clear cache --- setting-> apps & notifications-> app info -> click on app -> storage -> clear cache. It seems very lengthy but it works ..

I have used odin too.
I dont know if there's an app which does that.
Flash oreo without flashing userdata partition (I haven't tried it yet. So first backup internal storage befor trying it. Just to be safe)
You can use flash all and edit that file and remove line with userdata
I can give you more proper instructions. 7 hours later.
