Hi all,
I got a 2nd-hand i5700 and I'm trying to upgrade it to 2.3 from 2.2.
I have noticed that its IMEI shows all zero so that I'm guessing its EFS partition has corrupted.
I follow the EFS restoration method thread from tom3q and I get the error message
Code:
# cat /dev/stl10 > /sdcard/efs.stl
cat /dev/stl10 > /sdcard/efs.stl
cat: can't open '/dev/stl10': Invalid argument

I'm looking for help to solve this problem.
Thank you.

Hi guys this si my first post on xda please help, I need proffessional help.
Android Phone: ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser Z00RD.
that was my old device ,a couple months ago i give to it my 'lil bro. and 2 days ago he back to me with all of this problem.
when i turn on it says, can't load invalid boot image. so i try to enter recovery mode but it stuck on asus logo.
so i try to wipe/format it via twrp-3.0.2.0 from my PC, but this comes up
Code:
Failed to Mount '/Data' (invalid argument)
Failed to Mount '/Cache' (invalid argument)
...done
Unable to mount storage
so i try repair /data and /cache partition
and this comes up
/data
Code:
Repairing data using e2fsck....
/sbin/e2fsck -fp /dev/block/mmcblk0p43 process ended with ERROR: 8
Unable to repair data.
/cache
Code:
Repairing data using e2fsck....
/sbin/e2fsck -fp /dev/block/mmcblk0p41 process ended with ERROR: 8
Unable to repair cache.
NOTE : i enter twrp from pc, so when i reboot i must enter this fastboot boot twrp-3.0.2.0-Z00E-MM.img . And when i do that(reboot) it still can't fix anything T.T
i hope you guys can solve my problem
