Install H915 stock Rom on US996, possible? - LG V20 Questions & Answers

I recently bought an unlocked US996 variant from the US and currently using it on the Rogers network in Canada. I have been having nothing but reception issues with this phone. It keeps jumping from 4g lte to 3G to HSPA and drops calls in the process. It's driving me nuts. Before this model, I actually had the H915 on the same Sim card and same network and no issues whatsoever.
I tried changing my Sim card, my APn settings, resetting my network settings through my carrier, restoring my phone and still no luck and same issues. After much research online, I've come to realise that the software or is version could have some limitations with the network I'm on (Rogers) even though the US996 supports all LTE frequencies that Rogers offers.... So in theory it should be identical to H918 as far as reception on my carrier network.
Now the question is, if I flash a stock H915 Rom on my phone, will this work? And if it does, will it possibly fix the reception issues?
If not, Any suggestions on how I can fix this reception dilemma that I'm having?.
Thanks

Wont fix reception issues as roms dont flash the radio.

Is there a way to flash the radio then?

How do you flash the radio on US996? I'm having major reception issues with it on Canadian carriers and not sure what the issue is... Any ideas?

Odd problem with only some ROM's and Radio.

I am currently own and use a T-Mobile S5, unlocked on the AT&T network.
I have installed several roms and I am having issues with the radio. Here is what I am getting, on most cases in some areas my phone is stuck on H+ and not LTE, but when I start moving around, LTE shows up (observation), other ROMS will show LTE almost all the time. The ROMS that show H+ a lot of the times, also seems to loose signal a lot. just go NO SERVICE for some reason, and then come back 30-60 seconds later?
I thought the modem was separate from the ROM, am I incorrect? is there a way to extract the good modem from the ROM, OR better yet, is there a depo for Modems that will work for this T-Mo phone?
so far the only ROM that seems to work correctly is Bliss pop? Any idea?
Thank you

[HELP][VS980] LTE/HSPA+ not working

Has anyone gotten LTE/3G working on the VS980 (verizon). I am trying to get it on the fido (canada) network but it only registers the network when I set it to GSM only. I have checked the bands and it is supported. There is no fault with the sim or the network since I get full connectivity on my HTC One.
I have seen some threads saying flash the GSM fix or edit the build prop but none of those have gotten me LTE. I am even fine with getting the 3G working on the device.

G900M 6.0.1 update lost 4g (lte) connectivity

Afternoon all,
So, I'm in the US and on AT&T and couldn't get the 6.0 OTA update. I'm wildly guessing because phone is So Am and not No Am, so AT&T wouldn't update in the north. Update went fine, no issues that I can find with the the phone except now mobile data will not connect to 4g in my area. I have 2 G900m's, one is on 6.0.1 and the other is still on 5.0 . 5.0 connects to 4g, 6.0.1 connects to 3g...sitting right next to each other.
So. I know there are slight radio freq differences with the 900m. Is it possible that the firmware version i chose did not activate the 4g band when I updated? Any idea how I can tell which 900M stock roms would re-activate the 4g bands?
Or am I better off going back to 5.0 and living with it?
hmmm.. Looking at the AT&T update page, perhaps I should have tried with an update with as close to the baseband version as possible...CPH3 is what AT&T has and I'm running CPC3 which is Trinidad, I'll give the Argentine version a go (since my phone was originally a moveistar splash screen.
Thanks.
Well, that didn't fix the issue. Even though I'm connecting through AT&T towers, the data is connecting on CDMA. This isn't something the provider can affect is it? At least it's H+ instead of H...not sure how much of a boost that is though.
Let this be a lesson to you youngens....purchase a dang phone for YOUR region. oy!
pfft. ... .42Mbs down boy does that STINK!
Ok...YES I AM AN ID10T!!!
Mobile networks was defaulted to cdma...changed the default to LTE...wouldn't ya know it....4g. Put a fork in me...I'm done.

LG G6 H870DS on T-Mobile

Anyone know how well the H870DS version works on T-Mobile network?
I'm using on TMO and it's working well.
I am accessing 4G LTE over band 12 so my signal is comparable to a TMO branded GS8.
Some things to consider:
1) No VoLTE (that I'm aware of) calling
2) No WiFi calling
Small Annoyances
1) Network mode resets to 3G after reboot, manually selecting LTE after reboots
I have the same problem with no WiFi calling, need it for work too :/

Issue with Oreo radios for US?

Installed the Beta Oreo (stock and AOSP) on my Axon 7. After erasing and flashing with the U variant radios (my device is US) the phone initially receives full cell and data service. However, when entering a highly intermittent area like tunneled Public Transit, for some reason the radios stop working....and never come back. I simply would not receive signal any longer. Searching for data networks manually would find towers, but connecting to them does not restore service. Reflashing the bootloader and U radios does not regain signal. I would need to reinstall the entire ROM including bootloader and radio. Again, I would receive service fine until I reach an area with very low levels of service. This happened on the stock B12 ROM and the AOSP ROM. It's something to do with this Beta but I'm not sure what exactly. I'm on T-Mobile in the US.
Anyone else had the same issue?
I'm on AT&T and never had this issue.
Did you try to toggle airplane mode?
Did you check the APN settings? Maybe they changed?
Did you try setting the network mode (GSM/CDMA/LTE etc...)?

Yes, I saw this with B12 on my A2017U on TMO in low LTE signal areas. Trying to fix this LTE performance issue, I ended up getting stuck in DFU mode.
3 weeks ago, I actually had to send my A2017U back to ZTE for warranty replacement. New unit does not exhibit this issue. I think I may have had a bad radio in my phone.
