I have a G900A that I got through contract with AT&T. I just became aware that this phone is supposedly capable of wifi calling according to AT&T (see https://forums.att.com/t5/Device-Features/AT-amp-T-Wi-Fi-Calling/td-p/4841969). Nowhere in my phone's setup menus is anything referring to wifi calling. The phone is currently running Lollipop and is not rooted. It was previously rooted with towelroot, but I lost root when I was forced by circumstances to upgrade the OS from Kitkat.
I bought a new-in-box G900T (SIM lock removed) specifically to root and use with my AT&T account. Its menus do mention wifi calling but complains about "Wi-Fi Calling Error, Error: ER05 - Invalid SIM" when my SIM is installed.
Can someone tell me how to get Wifi calling working on either or both of these devices?

I just got a Sprint galaxy note 3 and im trying to make it cricket with the new gsm network. I ordered a sim card and I attempted to do the sim unlock but it is not working. I rooted it and verified that it is rooted with an app to check it. I also installed super su like the directions said and also installed region lock away. I still cant get the phone to accept the sim. It says "invalid card". I checked the Stats on it and it show network unknow. It doesn't even show the phone number program onto the sim. When I take it out it switches back to sprint.
Sprint sim slot is only for lte on sprint in the us...
You need a gsm model such as att or unlocked t-mobile note 3!
Hi
I wanted to Root the ATT factory unlock currently with T-Mobile.
SM-900A i know you can't root it as the Bootloader is locked
Is there anyway to tether ? every-time i turn on hotspot it tells me invalid sim or no network
I tried paid version of FOXFI still the same i am guessing ATT is blocking something
Is there a workaround for this
Thanks
Last summer I successfully flashed an SM-G935P (Sprint) to Verizon. I put it on the shelf without ever trying to use in on Verizon's network. I decided to switch to it from my S6 the other day. Before I did anything else I ran all system updates (via a wireless connection). All went well until I put in my already activated Verizon sim card. I get no coverage at all. Noda. The firmware loaded is G935VVRS8CRK2. Everything in settings =>About Phone looks right. Can anyone shed some light on what I may have done wrong?
P.S. I did try a Sprint sim card and it did show a 3g connection during initial setup. Is something left over from Spring that I need to wipe?
Flashing G935V firmware just converts your firmware to VZW (bootloader, radio, system) and you need to unlock your phone with Sprint still, but if you updated to Update 28 for S7 you can't go back to Sprint's firmware because the Update 28 contains bootloader v9!
TL;DR: you just need to unlock your device via sprint.
Here's a link to sprints unlock thing: https://www.sprint.com/en/legal/unlocking-your-sprint-device.html
The only thing is this, when I insert my Verizon sim card I am not prompted for an unlock code. Also, Sprint automatically unlocks their devices after ~50 days of active service on an account with good standing. Am I wrong?
Simple yet aggravating
So, the main issue I found after unlocking the Sprint G935P is (and I'm sure this is the problem you're having) you have to manually put in the APN settings to connect to Verizon.
Just Google "Verizon 4G LTE APN settings 2020" and enter what it tells you
Hello! I have Pixel 4 Google edition, bootloader is unlocked, phone is routed. I cannot enable WiFi calling on Verizon network. There is a switch to enable it, bit it does not work. After long troubleshooting with Verizon I was told that unlocked Pixels do not support WiFi calling on Verizon network. They told that I need Verizon ROM to use it. They told that Google edition Pixel 4 does not have that exact piece of software for WiFi calling implementation on Verizon network.
Is there a patch I can flash to enable it? Or can I install Verizon ROM and keep my bootloader unlocked (link to the procedure will be appreciated!). Thank you.

Hmm, that doesn't seem right. I have a Pixel 4 which I'm pretty sure was the Google Edition. I can't be 100% sure since I bought it secondhand, but the seller said it was, and the bootloader is unlockable.
I'm able to enable the WiFi Calling switch, and I see on the lock screen my carrier label has changed to "Verizon WiFi Calling".
I'd recommend trying to flash the factory ROM from Google's site. I just used the current latest on mine, the 12.1.0 with SHA256 checksum of 0138b22040a493223b621fffe1f1d288d307c67524432805f674be05925c3580. You should be able to do this with the bootloader locked. The process is to install adb and fastboot.
You can try using the "Flash" button on that site to use the "Android Flash Tool", which should guide you through the process, though I've never tried that myself. If you want to do it manually, you can use the "Link" link to download the stock ROM as a zip, then extract the zip and run either ".\flash-all.bat" (for Windows) or "./flash-all.sh" (Mac or Linux). That assumes you have fastboot installed. If you don't already have those, you need to install them from here: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools
Thank you phantomsniper773 for your reply! I already have the latest 12.1.0 (SP2A.220405.003, Apr 2022), and I already tried to re-flash it, but it did not help. I also requested the brand new SIM card, and that did not help also. I have Wi-Fi calling switch, but when I try to enable it, it shows 'This will take a few moments', then in a minute or two 'Unable to activate Wi-Fi calling, please try again later'. I also found on-line similar complaints about Verizon Wi-Fi calling on Pixels. And that happens only on Verizon. With T-Mobile SIM card it has Wi-Fi calling enabled by default, and it works just fine! Can you please check yours Pixel 4 Baseband version (Settings - About Phone - Android version - Baseband version)? Mine is g8150-00123-220122-B-8106568. Thank you!
Hello,
I recently purchased an unlocked S10+ because I wanted to install a custom ROM on it.
One of the prerequisites for the install is a firmware upgrade to the latest Android 12 version.
I got the firmware for the phone's CSC and flashed it successfully with odin4 on Linux.
However, the phone will not join T-Mobile's network, even though the APN network is correct in connection settings.
Checking the SIM/RF stack via *#0011# shows valid RF signal, but IMEI Status reports as NG.
The phone works flawlessly over WiFi (VoWiFi, etc...), but reports emergency calls only when WiFi is disabled.
I'm wondering if someone could suggest other things for me to try with the phone to get it connected to the GSM network.
Is this a case of me having to "fix" the /efs partition?
Many thanks.
