So much noise in camera photos. - HTC U11 Guides, News, & Discussion

I just took these shots and they are very noisy. It is like this whenever I take photos. So this a hardware problem or software? Also my software version is 1.03.400.8
You can see the noise in the black trouser and also my leg isn't that clear at all.i didn't get any update yet

NSFW tag?

Yeah my front facing camera is showing noise too

No noise here lol

Exif details? Iso shutter speed etc? Medium to low light will be grainy yes, but it is far far better than aggressive noise reduction resulting in watercolor pics. Fine grains are fine as long it's not blotchy grain

It's in auto mode

Motorola XOOM
Notion Ink Adam
wow... The difference is crazy.
Edit: just watched the video... NI's video sucks, I wonder why it can't stay focused...
They should have stuck with a better camera resolution. nevertheless the darn clicking noise was unacceptable. And frame rate change was also a shock to me when I looked at the video info.

Thanks for posting this, inspiron41!
I am generally happy with my Adam Pixel Qi. I do have the same focus issues.
The problem when a company (NI) uses a cheap part (the camera) it really cheapens the entire product. NI probably saved a $1 or $2 dollars. Hard to see how Rohan could think this to be bleeding edge technology and living his "dream" when you cut corners needlessly.
Wow thats bad....wth is that clicking noise.....If there is a way to fix this, I will, even if I have to open the damn thing and replace the motor or the camera....is that clicking noise present during recording only or during recording and playback?

Camera's colour reproduction is not correct

I noticed that during daylight the colours of pics are not correct.
The colours are washed out and too cold.
They are not vivid.
Has anyone else experiencing this?
Mine seems to be fine:

Model and FW?
SGH-i337m (Snapdragon) model running stock Touchwiz. Which would be I337MVLUAMDJ

Ok here is what I have noticed with the S4 camera, direct sunlight or strong light, perfect pictures (best on any smartphone imo)
Cloudy, over cast or artificial light under 5000lux and the camera performs badly with washed out de-saturated images.
You may also want to check the camera lens for a little bit of plastic sammy put on to protect the camera surround, when i carefully removed that bit of plastic i noticed a reduction in fringe distortion that was making the edges of images distorted and blurry.

You may already have but check the lens for finger smudges, also do you have a filter enabled check by clicking. ">" symbol on left side of camera screen as there is a washed out filter

Camera consistently grainy

I know Motorola has never been known for good cameras, and is really do like my RAZR M, but is there no solution to the consistently grainy photos it takes? It kills me how much better photos are on even an old iPhone compared to this thing. I've tried a few other apps as well but no luck. Thanks!

Try tweaking the settings. These are some pics I've taken with my M on HDR mode and they're not too bad at all:

Any particular tweaks you recommend? I'm feeling like it is hopeless. HDR actually looks worse for me in that it blurs.

No real "tweaks" per-se. Just set the camera to its highest MP settings, use the appropriate shutter settings for the environment you're in, and rest the phone on something if you want a good, clear shot.

Xperia Z5 Camera - as Advertise

Hi Z5 Users! Just curious how we can get a good shot with moving objects?.... or anyone can show how to do it in a proper way?.... As I'm wondering how Sony did the following shots in their website? As I myself is always ending up with either focus center and blurry shots outside the focal point of the picture, or mostly with blur edges or noisy pic, do we have to always use a tripod to get a good moving shot? (especially for me with shaky hands lol).

I don't believe they shoot those pics with a phone, didn't believe it as soon as the pics came online.

Use sports mode. In Scenes
Or Manual with low ISO and lowered Exposition im good light.
In a more difficult light with a slightly higher ISO which pushes faster shutter speeds. And lowered Exposition.

Camera problem!

Dear all,
When I use my HTC U Ultra camera, there is something wrong appear in every scence which has lights. They look like reflections of the lights with various blurred dot shape.
Sorry because I'm new here so I can not post an attachment for example. I have come to the store and tested this case with another U Ultra, however, it resulted in the same way.
Look forward to your guy reply.

Hi there,
I have exactly the same problem. Have you been able to solve it?
Enviado desde mi HTC U Ultra mediante Tapatalk
That is what I believe to be laser autofocus. Don't worry too much.
It's quite impossible not to be worrried... The problem exist, and is not nice...
If ot is on all Htc U Ultra, it's annoying... Someone else experimentes this? Solutions? Halos don't appear only on photos, but also on the screen when you are taking the photo...
I have seen this under very intensive lightning but it is not frequent. Usually slight change of the angle of shooting solves the problem.
Holy crap.. i just notice it outside.. i will upload video or photos..

Are you guys kidding? It's flaring which happens with every lens while aiming at bright light sources.
