Does anybody know, why some navigation apps mute the current sound like radio and do not restore it after an announcement and others like waze or google maps are able to do so?
Is there any trick to make the others, i.e. Navmii work the same?
Thanks
Thomas
Hi,
It is because Joying HU only listed iGo and GMaps (plus some other chinese mapping service) as Navigation App, which in their implementation will not suppress radio / music player sound.
You can check on this thread, for a mod to bypass this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...-units/joying-2gb-steering-wheel-key-t3543390
Thanks for your answer but could please be a little more detailed about what to do or at least name the post where I can find the infos to fix this since that thread is pretty large and to be honest not everything is clear to me.
Thank you for your help !

Apologies if has been covered before, but I haven't been able to find a suitable answer.
Is there an app that will provide speed dependant volume control to my Xtrons PB88UNVP (PX5 MTCE) headunit, on the stock ROM WITHOUT root?
Thanks

Bumping an old thread - but did you ever find a solution to this?
I didn't find a specific app which is kind of a shame, but FCC Car launcher has SDVC functionality built into it, along with lots of other nice features.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...its/fcc-car-launcher-official-thread-t3639659
Yep, FCC Does it, or if you want to upgrade your ROM, Hal9K V4 also has this functionality
Hello,
because I’m a newbie, I hope to be in the right forum (because I only have question but no answer …).
Here’s my problem:
I can’t get GPS to work on my Samsung J320F (2016)! It always “seems” to function, but neither Google-Maps can find a position, nor openstreetmap. When I try to look after the actual address, mostly a place some kilometers away from my position is shown (if at all …).
Since now I’ve tried about nearly 10 different ROM-images, most of them had been called “stable“, and other users wrote about their working GPS.
Actually, I’ve installed RR-N-v5.8.5-20181025-j3xlte-Unofficial (2nd version with the same name …), before that I tried e.g. lineage-14.1-20190705-UNOFFICIAL-j3xlte.zip, RR-N-v5.8.5-20171003-bacon-Unofficial-RomilParh, DreamReborn1.4.zip, lineage-13.0-20170715-UNOFFICIAL-j3xnlte, lineage-13.0-20171128-UNOFFICIAL-j3xnlte.zip or lineage-13.0-20180208-UNOFFICIAL-j3xnlte.
Does anybody have a hint what I might do wrong, or how I could fix or at least locate the problem?
Everything else mostly works fine, and with the original operating system (Android 5.1) also GPS worked.
Thanks in advance
Christoph

Hello together,
it looks like I have found the solution! It wasn’t the ROM or OS, but just the map-software I used seems to be faulty.
When I take the app "maps.me" instead of google maps or openstreetmap, everything works fine! (And to find out this, I needed several days …)
So, the thread can be closed. Maybe it can help others with a similar problem.
Bye,
Christoph

Personally I like FCC Launcher on play store and support can be found on different thread. You can use the default dialler of the launcher for your phone calls. Am/FM software I now use GMRadio instead of the stock app. You can find this a thread on here. DAB+ app look for Dab-z-player on the play store by Zoulou. Support in a separate thread on here. ADAS I can't advise as it's built into my dash cam.
As far as Navigation software I use sygic and here both on play store. Both don't need data unless you want traffic reports.
Anything else have a nose around the forums.

Thanks for your post. Where did you find that GMRadio, I would also like to try it.
Thanks
Thanks for the feedback
I'm also trying to find a link to GMRadio.
Please, more apps suggestions are welcome.
I'll get the obvious out of the way: HeadUnit Reloaded.
My Joying came with ZLink, it was extremely unstable, I tolerated it for a month until I found HUR. Fixed all my issues

As far as I understand in that thread that app is only for MTCD/E units.
Thanks for the links.
Here goes my first draft for the list. https://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Android_Head_Unit_Software
Please keep sharing more software you know. I will like to explore more "Bluetooth - Sync - Phone Call" software to replace the one I have.

It seem you have missed my radio app for multiple devices NavRadio+:
For MTC units thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...t/dev-navradio-ported-to-mtc-devices-t4048899
For TopWay based units with Allwinner T3,T8 and Intel TS9:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...its/dev-navradio-app-allwinner-units-t4024701
The app is the same for all those devices, it can recognize the device type and adapt its functionalities.
There is a basic free version and a paid version on playstore.

hi,
I tried your version but it's not working with my autoradio "Junsun" Android 10.
I am very interested in your app as I cannot (like the others) install any car launcher as they don't find the radio app (nor the phone app).
Do you plan to also take in charge other material ?
thanks

Oh I have the same question Tried many times but unable to.
Hello everyone. Not sure where this question belongs so I´m posting it here. I´m looking into getting nav data out of GMaps into the can bus. Has there been any development? I´ve seen a thread from someoone feeding music title info and some other data to a Volkswagen cluster. Looking to do the same for older Mercedes vehicles. But so far no luck regarding navigation data. If there is development I hope someone can push me to the right threads.
Cheers
Chris
Been looking at ways to add voice commands to my Android TS10 head unit, My last car had a little pad and buttons that was in easy reach but now the system is a little reach.
Having not had much luck with google assistant, I found a program called Toppal. Does anybody use it or heard of it and is it any good.
Here is a link to the site https://toppal.ai/
And here is a video of it in action
I'll follow this thread as my units come with Toppal preinstalled (but only the basic level, you have to pay for upgrade) but to me it's just a nuisance using resources, I've never tried to actually use it and I have asked here if anyone knows how to remove it without causing anything else to fail, but I got no answers.

I use Isudar in my car radio, but since my English is not good, they don't use it much. I would like the Czech language there, and I have not been able to set it as default yet. English only.
