Hello guys,
I've a problem with my s5 neo (SM-G903F) my back and menu buttons : in fact, the menu is always lighten (when the screeen is on, even in UPSM, please see the attachment).
Moreover, sometimes the back button isn't responding...
I'm on stock 6.0.1, rooted, I don't have xposed installed.
I've tried to flash other roms (stock and lineage) and to factory reset but the problem is still there.
Any idea ?
Thank you
Was the AMOLED or glass changed? This is not a software problem. Factory reset or reinstall the stock ROM with odin if you believe it is a software problem.
Nothing was changed.
I already flashed with odin stock roms (marshmallow and lolipop) but the problem is still there.

Hi everyone,
I am having a bit of a problem with my s4-i9505. A few weeks ago I upgraded to Android 5.0.1 manually (using Odin) and all seemed to work like a charm. I also rooted it to. So far so good
Last week an OTA was pushed and I mistakenly clicked okay. Suddenly the battery drain was insane. I read up on it and one of the solutions was to clear the cache. I powered down my s4, pressed the Volume Up + Home + Power button and for an instant I saw in small blue letters in the upper left corner: Recovery mode and underneath it the Samsung logo. Then the screen went black and booted normally.
Since then I've tried
using apps that make the S4 boot into recovery
reflashed the stock 5.0.1 firmware
reflashed an older version (4.4.2) causing a bootloop
reflashed the stock 5.0.1 firmware (solving the bootloop)
Flashing CWM recovery using ODIN.
Still only the text Recovery mode shows up, before rebooting and booting up normally.
Does anyone have a solution to my conundrum?
I managed to fix it myself eventually. I did a factory reset from within Android settings. And now i can get back into recovery mode.

I uninstalled it and the phone had a lot of fc of systemUI and other apps and random reboots, and sometimes it boot into recovery on its own sometimes into download mode, so i flashed another official firmware and did a factory reset , but no luck , then i flashed a ported Rom (Dr.ketan Rom) now my phone don't do a lot of fc and don't reboot into recovery and download mode on its own , but still having a lote of random reboots and a lot of freezes, any ideas guys? i looked everywhere but nothing
Same problem as you, but it's worst : I tried latest Good Lock 24.0.10 and after uninstalling it, I got a popup saying "SystemUI has stopped working", with black screen and can't do anything else than accessing menu with Lock Key (with reboot, shutdown buttons, etc.) :/
Tried to reflash ROM with ALEXNDR ROM for Note4 but same problem. Any solution ? I'm trying to restore Good Lock latest apk through flashable .zip to see if I can re-use my phone.
Hey,
Replaced the screen for my girlfriend (lcd+digitizer+glass), tried to turn it on and nothing.
Tried to reset factory and nothing. Tried to update it from KIES, nothing. Tried odin, nothing.
Stock and custom.
At last i tried HaniBase and it boots, gets to the first screen, where you have to select your language, i can select it and can proceed, but it restarts again, in less then 10 seconds.
Any idea?
Thanks!
Just out of curiosity, did the new screen assembly come with a new Home button built into it?
No home button, its from a different hardware part. I was able to get it working installing cm13
Hello, for abou two months I have installed the JDC AOSP firmware on my phone. I encountered many faults and bugs on this rom, and the best of all was the sd corrupt and the last days wasn't even opening. When i touched the screen it was rebooting, so i decided to go back on officiak firmware. I installed two different official firmwares but still the problem remains. On the first touch it reboots. What could possibly go wrong? thank you
Maybe a power button issue?
Does the phone reboot by itself in download or recovery mode?

no it was by the little papers i have placed on sim card due to common problem on galaxy s4 "sim card removed". But now there is more important isue. The phone yesterday suddenly turned off and since then it doesn t boot on. It is stuck on galaxy logo and also it is not booting in rocovery mode. I have tried and installed via odin official firmware again it says pass, also today i have installed CWM but still none of these problems solved. Is there anything we can do?
What did you do after installing cwm? Factory reset?
I would use twrp as a custom recovery because cwm has not been updated for a long time.
Hi,
After a LineageOS update, my Samsung S5 (G900F) was working and suddenly shouted down. I tried to restart it but it was booting in loop (always without passing through the first Samsung Galaxy S5 logo). As I wasn't being able to restart it I tried to fix it by installing the stock rom through Odin. It installed successfully and the phone rebooted with images in the screen. If I touch the phone I can hear the touch working and volume also works but I don't have image, not even while booting the phone.
Now, the only way I have to see image (in the download mode only) is to take off the battery for a few minutes and then restart the phone while pressing the download mode buttons.
I tried several times to install the stock rom through odin but the same thing happens everytime so I am still without image.
Any suggestions?
Thank you. :good:
