I'm john, and i need help in installing stock rom. I was searching over internet for a guide to root my mobile which got android 6. and all the post were saying that marshmallow cant be rooted so I decided to downgrade to lollipop. my model number was A7020a48, but i wrongly flashed A7020a40 marshmallow instead of flashing lollipop coz, they didnt mention which model number is for lollipop. Now my speakers are down, they are not working and I cant hear a sound from both ear piece an the speaker. now i'm unable to flash any rom further. i'm getting an error message every time i flash a rom. https://ibb.co/dchhJQ
guys, Finally I flashed the original rom in my k5 note. everything fixed now my mobile is working fine. how do i downgrade to lollipop? Its still same as the above image, red bar "download DA 100%" and after few mins I got an error BROM ERROR: Status_ext_ram_exception(- 1073414139). please help me out of this.. thanks in advance.

It can't be done, since the g531h has another hardware specifications, you will ended with a bricked phone.

Many pages, 11+..then use Odin..I personally havent reverted to KK from LP..but I have reverted to an earlier version of 5.1.1..because I'm new to Samsung..and my Grand Prime, from box with 5.1.1
Dont know if you can revert to 4.4.4
The reason being, is a possible bootloader version change..in my past experiance with Moto devices, once the bootloader version changes, reverting cannot be done..
Research this..which may be your flash failure cause..or maybe a bad download or incorrect OS for your device..the country code MUST match..

Thanks for your response, but still it didn't work. I did as you suggested; I downloaded
the correct firmware for my device, flashed it via Odin but failed. On device it shows "SW REV CHECK FAIL : (aboot) Fused 2 Binary 1" error
I recently updated to lollipop 5.0.2 via Odin, my phone model SM-G530H baseband G530HXXU2BOH5.
I think the reason I can't downgrade to Kitkat 4.4.4 is because of bootloader update.
I want to downgrade to Kitkat because most of the apps which used to work on Kitkat don't work on lollipop anymore, and also its very slow.
if anyone out there could help downgrade to Kitkat, plz do it. I would greatly appreciate it.

Make sure you are flashing the correct OS for your device..I cant say for sure, new to Samsung..but probably a bootloader update issue..Maybe research which bootloader version with KK and LP..I think you may find your revert issue..I hope I'm wrong..please someone correct me if I'm wrong..

You are asking for something that doesnt exist..and also..bootloader will PROBABLY be an issue..Dont think you realize what you are asking for..
If you MUST have 4.4.4 then sale your device and purchase a device on 4.4.4..SOLUTION..

i have a galaxy note edge, but couple of days back when i unpluged my phone from the charger and tried to turn it on it would not boot up properly;even if it did it would turn itself off at different times. so i had decided to flash stock rom, thinking this could solve the problem. i downloaded stock rom from sammobile, flash it via odin,and it was successful;but when the phone rebooted with rebooting recovery on the top left of the screen then the screen went black. to turn the the device on again i have to pull the battery out and put back in after 10-15 seconds. and now whenever i try to turn the device on, it boots up with 'rebooting to recovery' on the top left of the screen but goes black as soon as the samsung logo shows up. i don't know what's causing this problem.
if anyone out there could help me get out of this problem,i would greatly appreciate it

Wanted to ask if it is safe to flash build number LMY48B.G531HXXU0AOK2 with build date of Nov 2015 over the build LMY48B.G531HXXU0APC2 with build date in March 2016.
Tl;dr is it safe to flash an older lollipop build over a new one using odin

I was fed up with marshmallow and had wanted to downgrade to Lollipop 5.0 searched the internet but found no supporting evidence of anyone successfully downgrading. Even people updated stating the official status is that you CANNOT downgrade.
I today took the risk and tried to downgrade to Lollipop S136 version using SP flash method (download only).
I confirm that the downgrade was successful and now my phone is on Lollipop S136 version. Just thought of sharing to all who desperately wanted to downgrade. Hit thanks if you find it helpful

Give a try, if you don't like it, then you can downgrade..Whats the fun in knowing lollipop was better without tasting marshmallow...??

Not recommended... not good pair of 8 GB internal storage and Marshmallow
1 week and 8 MB the internal storage. I Delete all downloaded app so have just Stock app my phone and remain low internal storage.

Its good u like lolipop so u downgraded to it.I want to say that u can also downgrade to latest and final version of lolipop s153.
I am only giving my opinion and rest is ur choice.

Yes even S153 is good. I just wanted to confirm to people that DOWNGRADE was possible to Lollipop using SP FLASH download only method, the version to select is their choice
it is possible and i have done it twice..but i weird problem just happend to me..whenever i open about phone and go to system update it said no connection while i am connected to wifi...even if the update shows up in notification if i press on it i have no connection message..if anyone could help it would be very nice
i cant flash my phone after upgrade to marshmallow
So a couple days ago i flashed my lenovo from lollipop to marshmallow and it flashed succesfully, after checking the feature in marshmallow i think the firmware still need a couple fix and i wanted to downgrade again to lollipop but when i try to flash my phone it wont start, the phone charged up and in my pc pop out a massage "vcom installation failed" but i already installed that driver, so can you help me with this problem? Hi.. I tried flashing stock ROM lollypop s153 on my phone via sp tool flash. But while loading scatter file it shows a error ” image system checksum failed, checksum reference value(0x9fa0) in the config ini file, please re-fill correct checksum value and reload scatter file again". Everything works fine except my sd card -it says my sd is corrupted but that's not true because on android 6.0 marshmallow that sd worked. I also tried different sd card but nothing changed. I even tried to format sd card but it still doesn't work. Is there some way how to fix it ?

I successfully downgraded to lollipop 5.0 everything works good but it says that my sd card is corrupt .....i tried formatting it but it still not working i tried another sd card but it was also detected as corrupt ........i don't know what to do now

I have just been trying to go from a custom rom (Older Dr Keaton Rom) to marshmallow.
I downloaded the marshmallow firmware and after flashing in PC Odin I now get " Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue.Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again".
I have no certainty but suspect that it needs a different bootloader?
This is the marshmallow stock uk rom,
N910FXXS1DPH8_N910FO2U1DPG2_N910FXXU1DPB1_HOME.tar
I have a N910F Note 4.
Can anyone help me get this back to a working stock rom?

I can't remember how I fixed it, but I think it was just down to getting the correct rom to load into it. I am sorry but it was ages ago so I cant be sure...
It was either that I just found a rom that worked or changed the bootloader.

Did you try flashing using sp flashtools? and where did you get the stock rom file from? try searching the threads, the one you are flashing might be broken.

A colleague of mine had bootlooped his phone and forgot his account, the phone stuck on FRP and he doesn't remember it. I tried to downgrade but Odin fails when I try to.
