Hi,
When I press the volume rocker, the volume increased by a large percentage each time I press it.
I realise that some music players have the ability to change the volume by smaller increment, but wonder if there is a cab file somewhere that enables this capability system wide. Or is there a hidden tweaks somewhere?
I like the cool music player in TF3D and do not wish to use a third party software to play music.
Can anybody help?
Thanks in advance.
i hope to change lesser too
yes i remember coming across some 3rd party applications that can tweak the volume, but i honestly forgot where.... if i find anything i will get back to you.
meanwhile, after prompting the volume menu by pressing the rocker buttons, you can select a smaller increment in sound level, by simply taping of the meter using the stylus.
volume increments
I thought super, i can adjust volume lower! Not, mine moves the same by tapping or using rocker.? unless I'm doing something wrong? Help
This is a really annoying issue... Luckily, you can adjust the volume in smaller increments using the buttons whenever the screen is turned off!
volume
Sorry, i'm new, but when i turn my screen off, my music stops? then when i touch vol. rocker it lites up, & plays. sorry for newbie problem,

Click to collapse
Have you found the cab yet?
When the sound volume screen appear, how do you adjust by a smaller increment? I thought whether you use the volume rocker or the screen the degree of change is exactly the same?

The music only keeps playing when headphones are plugged in! (Atleast it should... if it doesn't, what ROM are you using?)
i'm sorry couldn't find the cab, ur best bet is changing the volume from within a music player, i hear corplayer is good....
on my device i tap the volume bar using the stylus and that gives me the smaller increments in sound level.
Try tapping the screen instead of using the pysical buttons on the side. You can change the volume by one bar instead of the 4/5 bars everytime you press the button.
So basically my one button headset would play/pause with a single tap, whilst two taps would automatically call the last person i spoke to. However I wanted to be able to skip to a different song with two presses.
Tried play/pause app to skip to next song....didnt work, tried HTCButton....didnt work.
However when i combined the two....it worked brilliantly, long press of my button still activates voice commander too. Tried this on 3 HD2's with diff headsets (my friends) and it worked, hopefully it will work on yours too.
Install Play/Pause 3.1 To Device Memory
Soft Reset
Open Up Play/Pause and pick AudioManager
At This Point When I Double Tapped My Button It Stopped Doing The Automatic Call....This Showed Play/Pause Did Something
Install HTCButton
DONT Soft Reset (For some reason the whole process failed everytime I Soft Resetted At This Point)
Open Up HTCButton, Pick Audio Controller Manager and change play/pause to Skip To Next Track Trying To Skip To Previous Doesnt Work
Exit, now go to audio player and a double tap of your single button headset SHOULD skip to next track. Goodluck
Edit: Single press should still be play & pause
i haven't had the luck you've had
the process worked before i re-flashed my device but no longer. i'll try again one last time...
Hi all.
I find quite often I end up missing calls because the volume has accidentally dropped.
is there any way or app to lock it and ignore the button presses, and maybe re-assing to something else?
thanks
responding to myself here.
I found volume locker in the market which does that.
However, it'd be nice to be able to remap the buttons.
any ideas where to get an app for that?
I hate that feature on the X10.
Who the hell though it would be a good idea to have those buttons control the ringer volume at all times?
I have never required to toggle the volume of the ringer so often that I needed hardware keys for it. Just set it once and forget.
Sometimes I'm in the media player and because a video or song isn't playing I will accidentally turn the ringer volume up or down.
I would love to have those buttons bring up the phone's status when pressed on the standby screen ala Sony Ericsson Dumb phones.
hello,
on CM7, there is an option to make the song skip next/previous when holding the volume controls whenever the screen is off.
so my question is, is it possible to have this option when the screen is on? it would be quite useful when you're in an app and if you wish to change tracks, no need to turn off the screen or exit from the app itself
i tried searching but unfortunately i didn't find anything. so yeah, any help/suggestions will do. thanks!
Is there a way to double tap the + and - buttons on a 3 button headphone remote for ski[p track forward and skip track back
without root? or even with root?
I have tried 3 apps already and none of them even recognize a single press of either button
6p stock N
For changes like that at least root is needed I imagine. I use to love that feature on the phone having volume buttons to skip tracks while in my pocket at work. Some of the custom ROMs have it baked in. Don't think possible remote or headphones.
