[Q] Google now always on feature doesnt work..

The feature is just grayed out, any help?
Same deal when I updated my N910K, spent a few days trying to get it happening, no result. So I've gone on to using Utter, great little app.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1508195
I'm specifically looking for a way to make Google now work, but I'll go ahead and give this a try anyway thanks
+1
Set English US as a language and try again.
Well, this is what fixed it for me (SM-N910F, German Lollipop ROM) though it still doesn't work with the screen off, for me at least.
1) In Settings -> Application manager -> All, find "S Voice". Disable it.
2) Reboot
3) "OK Google" settings are now enabled (and stay that way)
I have set it as US English

Easy! Download google now launcher slide to the left you will see google now feed like the flipboard feed on touchwiz. Go google now settings go to voice and activate google now when screen is off. It works! Then you can uninstall google now launcher if you like.

[Official] [No Root] How to get Google Assistant

This worked for my friend and me and other peoples, try out and see will it work for you.
Requirements:
1. Android 6.0.1 and up.
How to get:
1. Download and install Google App from this link: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...le-app-6-14-14-21-arm64-android-apk-download/
2. Set your language to English (US) and remove other languages.
3. Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Storage > Clear data
3.1. Do the same with Google App.
4. Restart your phone.
5. Go to Google Play Store and disable auto updating apps.
6. Try to launch Google Assistant by holding Home button.
7. That's it
If it's not working try next:
8. In Google App settings, make new account and try again step 6.
And that's it, hope this will work to you too
I didn't even has to do all that. Just hold the home button and it activates by itself, all you do is the setup at that point.

A2017G 7.1.1 Google assistant?

Is it possible to get Google assistant on this ROM?
Sent from my ZTE A2017G using Tapatalk
Enter beta Verdion from Google app and Google play services, wait a while and update these apps than change your System language to english us and go to homescreen, you normally should have the assistant now, change language back
Even easier, just change the language to English US and reboot

I tried that but didn't work for me with my A2017G 7.1.1.
The only thing that I noticed is that the navigation in Google Maps started speaking funny... switching back...

It didn't work? You only have to hold home and the dialog should appear

No, I tried, but holding home just brought up the "good old" google app.
Weird... I dunno. I did like 4 clean installs and so far it worked every time i held home...
No idea. maybe you could try getting the app, dunno
Google had announced this in march it was to be activated first in the US and then followed by the UK and several other countries.
Maybe it'll be 2018 for us.

Well I doubt it detects the country you're in. I'm in Argentina. Last place where you'd think that they would allow assistant. And I have assistant simply by using English US

No, I didn't wipe the data indeed... I'll try that later, thank you.
It doesn't work on the Chinese A2017. Assistant is installed in the Google app but it's still Google home when the ask Google. I think it's because the home button (my voice) only operates when the system language is Chinese. Unless someone writes a piece of code to fix this then it looks like I'm stuffed.

Google feed

I cannot turn on google feed option there ia no any option
#Rom RR latest treble build
I have installed google llc also
Helpp!!!
Use the RR thread, ask there.
Turn off google feed
I don't know how it came. But I want to know how to turn it off. It was not there when I bought Mi A1 but it started eventually. I think one of the updates might have started this.

Things changed after stable pie update

I find display to be on better side thn earlier, auto brightness is actually working fine. I also find camera to be better thn before both normal and portrait. Theme option is added and other pie updates.
But I thing app opening is bit Slow, needs to be improved. I could not find Digital wellbeing but at play store it shows that it's installed.
Will update other changes, please share the changes. I may be wrong on some facts
I feel ram management has improved.
Ditigal wellbeing should be available in settings menu only, not as an app
