PB5 bootloop fixed - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

phone was update blocked on PB5.
It spontaniously rebooted.
Galaxy s7,
sprint splash,
Then stuck at,
lte plus screen with vibration pulse every few seconds.
ran battery out...
Later,
Powered off due to 0% battery,
plugged in to charge in off mode.
found and downloaded PB5.zip.
Downloaded Odin from gs7 thread.
Unzip PB5.zip.
5 files...
AP, BL, CP, CSC, HOME_CSC
Succesfully get phone to download mode.
Plug phone into computer.
Odin has instructions to add files to each box.
But there is only 4,
AP, BL, CP, CSC.
Add 4 files, not HOME_CSC
Press start.
Pushing to phone.
Reboot.
Again stuck at LTE PLUS.
Repeat Odin, but with HOME_CSC in CSC spot,
Reboot gets past splash screens and installs apps.
requires wifi (because not activated/no cell-signal).
Then asks for but does not verify google account and stuck at google account input. Cannot get past/around. Tried reboot. Again stuck at google account.
Run odin again,
Same results.
google account info had been forgot/reset.
Google search about hard reset reveals
Google account reset requires 24hrs wait before login can pass...
Will pickup from here tomorrow...
Same Bat-Time.
Same Bat-Channel.

If you repartition in Odin it should fix this for you.

Curious?
With a fresh pushed stock rom,
Why power on thru loading apps
Then require to connect wifi and google account info?
Why other older phones (gs5/others)bypass that to home screen without connection?
the gs7 is not activated,
I activated old gs5 to sprint account while 'fixing' the gs7.
If I activate the re-rommed gs7 to sprint will recognize lte-data at boot and not go straight to require wifi connection and google account info?

I did not repartion in Odin,
That will allow bypass of required wifi connection and required google account signin?
I read on a google search that because the google account password was forgoten/recovered/reset,
Must wait 24hrs for device to login to google with new password.

UPDATE...
waited 24hrs,
Rebooted phone,
sign in to google account with new/reset info,
ALL IS GOOD...
Sprint.com,
re-activated phone to account.
Declined 'system software update'
Re-installed Package Disabler Pro'
Blocked system updated.
##DATA#
Edit
APNs
,dun
Save
YEAH!!!!
Now wife will have the tedium of re-installing individual apps and settings.

Always remember...
Never forget...
Account logins and passwords...
Cuz sometimes,
Recovering 'em creates a pain in the *$$.

Phone will not booting anymore, please help

Hey guys since today I can not startup my phone. The screen stays black and in red
text I got the message "custom binairy blocked by FRP lock"
Can anybody help me please.
FRP lock stands for Factory Reset Protection, it's there to stop a phone being stolen and sold on. You must have made changes (root etc) without first setting the OEM Unlock to on in Developer Options.
You now need to flash the stock rom with ODIN and, on boot, log in using the Google account that was in use when the changes were made and the lock happened. Without that Google account you won't be able to use the phone. As soon as you do that, go into the Dev Options and select OEM Unlock to stop it happening again.
Thanks for your answer, is there any url where I can download the stockrom for the G935F and any tutorial how to flash with Odin?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/official-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3335065
Now I donloaded Odin 3.11 and the latest firmware file.
I did also extract the firmware file, now 5 files are comming up.
I understand to put one in AP, one into CP, one into BL and one into CSC.
But where do I have to put the file starting with HOME?
List the contents of the zip/rar.
It, is done now. Phone is booting again and I had to verify with my google account.
Thanks for your fast and kindly helping.
No probs, glad you sorted it.

Hi so i had a similar problem to this on my note 3.
What I did was
Hard reset and then reboot and when it goes through the initial settings I think on the first page click on accessibility and then in there find language and input you want to go to text to speech and download any language u want and you should then be able to put in your own Samsung account details and then when you go through to the abnormal reset locked page your account you just put on there should be there.
If that doesn't work(which sometimes it doesn't you will want to try again but this time when you go to accessibility you want to try find anything in there that will let you go into a browser like a terms and conditions or click on something like that. Once in a browser search for google play and download a phone settings app and then open the app through google play and go into security settings and disable reactivation. Lock thing

ya but what if the accesability option isnt there ? and there is no visable way to get to a browser unlike a J3(6)?
@mrgluck: I've found that the easiest way to beat FRP locks on a Samsung phone, is to flash combination firmware.
A combo firmware is a firmware used by Samsung to diagnose issues. It isnt meant to be used by average users. However, it can also remove an FRP lock.
Steps:
1. Download Odin (use whatever version you want, i've always used 3.12.7 with the Note 4)
2. Install the latest Samsung USB driver
3. Download combo firmware, search for "n910v combination firmware" or "n910v combination file" on Google
4. Start Odin, load up the tar.md5 file into the AP slot (if it downloaded as a zip/rar/whatever, you need to extract it first), then click Start
5. Once it's done, boot the phone, combo firmware should load. This isnt like anything you've ever used, so dont play around too much once it's booted, could cause yourself more issues...unless, of course, you really know what you're doing
6. Power off, boot into stock recovery, do factory reset, boot it up again
7. Power off, flash regular firmware (not combo) with Odin
When you get to the setup wizard screens, the FRP lock should be gone. I've done this on dozens of phones for myself and friends, it seemed to always work. It's been quite awhile since I flashed one of these, so if my steps arent quite right...

Help! Stuck in google verify!

I have been trying to reboot a used phone I have bought. The Samsung Galaxy J3 (6). Yes, there is a 6 after the J3 inside of a little circle. Apparently this is the closest thing that xda has to it on the forums. I have tried everything I could find on the internet to get around this google verify problem from the previous user. I have used the emergency caller to basically access everything on the phone. I have attempted to change the google account through settings, I have installed new apps to access other areas, I have have tried to downgrade Google Account Manager to disable the "error" problem in the quick shortcut app. This last method didn't work due to the phone not letting me be able to downgrade. I have installed the rootjunkie's samsung unlocker apk and got to settings. I have factory reset from here twice, with and without a password. Both did not do a thing for me. I am out of ideas. can anybody help me out here?

The issue is FRP. Someone has factory reset from recovery instead of settings.
If you can get into settings as you say then set up another Google account then switch to that account.
Restart and log into that account.
Which firmware build is the device running?

I have tried to add a Google account through several methods as well. Through settings, through Gmail app, through play store. All of which keep taking me to the same verification check screen, but it allows me to back out to the settings again.

My version is 6.01 I believe. But I cannot downgrade to the 6.01 Google account manager with new security stuff.
Your device is nearly identical to J320A & J320AZ.
I am unsure if you need to enable "oem unlock" from Dev options to flash the kernel.
But if Odin let's you this method should get you going.

Unable add Samsung Account anymore

I was messing around with Package Disabler, trying to remove what I felt was bloatware, but after removing some of the default Samsung applications I realized that I am no longer able to add a Samsung Account onto my phone. In the Settings menu under "Add account" the option for a Samsung Account is no longer listed. Frustratingly, because of this I am unable to log into any Samsung apps, including the Galaxy Store, which now force closes whenever I try to download any applications. Trying to sign in to my Samsung Account through any other Samsung app such as Health does not work either. I've obviously tried to re-enable all disabled applications via Package Disabler without any success. I've tried booting into Safe Mode without any luck. Short of factory resetting my entire phone, is there anything that I can do? Thanks

No, I've never rooted it
Have you tried rebooting the phone after you have re-enabled all apps. Just a thought.

Then do this:
-On your PC download latest firmware for your model and country via Frija or Samfirm. Then download Odin PatcheD made by 3B and Samsung USB Drivers.Install the drivers.Extract the file download by Samfirm/Frija and you will have 5 files.Open the downloaded Odin and in AP section put the file with AP in it (it is one of the 5 files). In BL slot put the file with BL in it.In CP section put the file with CP in it.In CSC section put the file with Home_CSC in it.If in the CSC section you put CSC it will wipe the data.If you put Home_CSC if will not wipe the data.Power off your phone and Hold Volume Down + Bixby and plug in an USB cable(preferably the one that came with the phone. It should enter download mode.Press volume up ( Just press do not hold). In Odin make sure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time are checked in the options tab.Press start and wait. After that you should have a working phone with your data and warranty.
Hello. I also did the same thing when I tried to uninstall a lot of bloat/system apps.
What I remember is to get the "Samsung Experience Service" module back.
Good luck.

Toast??

Hello,
Here is the current situation: I own an unlocked N986U1 in ATT network
1. Installed Just TMB Home_CSC (ATH3) in order to enable wifi calling, etc. BL,AP, CP were all original U1 firmware. Never signed into Google until now.
2. Decided to install BL, AP, CP from ATH4 USC version that I downloaded from this thread. Did not install Home_CSC. Odin said, it everything went fine. I never remembered to sign out of google before installing this firmware.
3. For some reason the install complete in few minutes.
4. After reboot, for some reason, it did keeps error out stating incorrect password. I could swear that I am typing the correct password since it's the same password that I was using on my Note10+. My Google password is
5. I tried to reinstall U1 ATH3 firmware but odin does not move past "Setup connection". Or "FAIL: SHA256 is invalid"
Simple shutdown is not possible since it's asking for password before shutdown or restart. I had to press Vol+, Vol- & Power button all together to shutdown. Actually, it just restarts. Never stays shut.
I hope, I didn't toast the phone.
Any suggestions?

I think that the first thing you should try and take care of is your Google password.
Can you use a computer & try and go through the List Password Process.
I'm pretty sure that you didn't bork your phone.

Could you explain little more about the "List Password Process:?
Looks like it was simple process.
1. Shutdown, Vol+ and Power key combo to get to recovery mode.
2. Factory reset.
3. Once it reboots, you will be asked for Google Password. Enter password and you are good to go.
The Firmware is ATH4. However, it boots with all ATT bloatware though ATH4 is supposedly USC version. Service Provider ver shows ATT/ATT/XAA.
Either ways, I will have to reinstall U1 Firmware and start over again... Leaving these comments in this thread so someone else in the future can use this for reference.
