This isn't a duplicate post about scrolling. I have had no issues at all with scrolling. My phone was manufactured on 06/06/17. People reporting problems seem to have had their phone manufactured on 09/06/17
I have attached a poll to see the results as the batch made on 09/06 could be a faulty batch.
You can find your date of manufacture on your OP5 box.
I only got these 2 dates as they are the only 2 I'm aware of. If there are any other dates please let me know.
10th of July. Jelly of hell.
8th June - no issues

2017.06.08 - Jelly
June 12th - No Issues
What are these scrolling issues exactly? I have some stuttering when scrolling but this seems to be the case on all OP5s?

Well apparently this is the reason behind it. Seems as if OnePlus 5 mounted the displays wrong way around.

What exactly is the issue? Are people just trying to find reasons ti hate it? It all sounds like so much strange denial. If you don't like it just send it back or get a new one....

Just a guess: October 11th
What is your guess?
This is getting annoying!!!! GOD DAMN!!!
October 2nd...
Silly but what the hell. October 26th
This is better than reading about people crying about it.
Being optimistic... Go go October 6th!!!
Getting old... Oct 31, 2045
at least i kept it in general and not in dev forums.... now that is annoying! My reasoning behind it is that the Galaxy Tablet ships Oct. 11th with Froyo pre-installed. If I had the money, id sell my vibrant and get the tablet just to one up the ipad.
froyo on that tab is mad buggy..got a chance to play with it.
October 23rd much better than a waaah waaah thread
The seventeenth of never.

I say October 19th, the same day New Vegas comes out. I'll be playing New Vegas.
We should start a pool here.

the real question is: will samsung/ t mobile actually say when the updates are coming this week as they promised?
maybe we could get a special edition Halloween Froyo!

If we are still here? The end of the world will just have to wait until the masses have been satiated. No worries, here.
Gingerbread will likely never be offered as an official OTA update but we will get it as long the devs here keep their Vibrants.
I am willing to bet a week's salary that it'll be released "soon"!
We should see the August security update on Monday for sure but anyone think we'll get O as well? Seems odd they haven't revealed the name yet. Also the last few days all my G apps are updating. Think we'll get anything fun or just a newer DP4 which runs amazingly
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
No. I don't think O will come out by end of August.
but I guess Aug. OTA will be the last security update for N.
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-32430 currently lists "Android 7.0 Software version H91810p Available August 7, 2017, Google monthly security update, Various bug fixes and software improvements" while my Nexus 6P lists Android security patch level August 5, 2017, can any updated T-Mobile H918 owners confirm (e.g. in Settings->System->About phone->Software info) their LG V20™ T-Mobile H918 has the August or July Security patch level?
Feel free to also comment if you've noticed any issues (i.e. problems or "improvements") with such updates?
-Thx

Appreciate the reply, so I assume you have no regrets choosing it with its recent updates, fully functional Wi-Fi calling..is your updated H918 about as snappy as it was initially?
BTW, do you/anyone expect the H918 will get an official Oreo-Android 8 update?
I think the V20 will get Android 8 but it will be a bit late to the party. If you want Android 8 out of the box you'll likely need a pixel or the V30.
I am finding it so far about the same performance-wise as before. As for wifi calling, I don't make a lot of actual phone calls so I can't speak for hope that's working. But it is showing connected while connected to WiFi.

The V30 specs should be confirmed Thursday but I've read the Pixel 2 devices will more likely be the first with Android 8 out of the box.

The V series is what LG usually uses to experiment with especially with newer versions of Android.
If that's the name of the latest Wi-Fi bug discovered recently...
I updated with no problem but wanted confirmation this had been fixed.
Edit: yeah, that's the name https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KRACK

Yes. Google is your friend.
... right.
But XDA is my best friend!
Jokes apart, I searched in this forum and not finding anything I thought it hadn't been covered elsewhere. I was wrong. Sorry.
A different question. Is it normal that Nexus 6P is not getting November 6th 2017 security patch level but only November 5th 2017?

Is the latest update on the Nov 5th or 6th patch? Google's announcement states the Nov 6th security patch specifically resolves this exploit:
https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/2017-11-01#top_of_page
Edit: I'm still on 7.1.2 but I've seen some 5X/6P folks say we're on Nov 5th patch level.

Yes, the November update for the 6P has the November 5th patch date, and so it does appear that the 6P didn't catch it this month. It was only this morning that I went back to discover it was not on the 6th, and so my earlier response was incorrect. I just assumed we had the patch latest date... because we always have in the past. Sorry for that.
Previously, the patch levels have always been the 1st and 5th. This is the first time I know of that there were three patch level dates, and the notes are clear the KRACK vulnerability is addressed in the November 6th patch. Other supported devices may have received the 6th patch level this month. Looks like the 6P will have to wait until next month (or 8.1 DP2).

All good. Hopefully Google will push another factory image for Nov 6th. It's weird there is no mention of the KRACK vulnerability on the Pixel/Nexus specific bulletin below:
https://source.android.com/security/bulletin/pixel/2017-11-01
But there is on the Android security bulletin I linked in my last post. Maybe that is to distinguish that the vulnerability is Android wide? I do think it would help clarify that they addressed this on Pixel/Nexus devices per the respective bulletin. Guess we'll see if another image is released this month.
Edit: Extra info about the Pixel/Nexus specific security bulletins btw:

This is why I was asking about this being normal. By reading the release notes I suspected KRACK fix was not included.
Not patching KRACK in November seems like a bad joke to me. They explicitly promised to patch it in the November patch...
I don't know about anyone else but I have gotten 3 back to back security updates in the past 24 hours to bring my ph up to the April 2018 patch level. Before this, it had been months since I'd gotten a security patch.
I speculate its a pre-req for the Oreo update because I just bought my daughter the Moto X4 this week & the 1st thing that occurred out of the box, is that it got 3 consecutive security patches to bring it up to the March patch level & only then did the Oreo update show up immediately after that.
This is all pure speculation on my part but based on some recent events that don't add up unless they are about to push out the Oreo update.
What do you guys think?
I was surprised to receive the April patch this morning. I really hope they're pushing the Oreo
i think so also man.. because to get march and april so quick..something is up!
Lets see what they are up to.. as we are now in Q2
I would doubt that the security patches mean anything other than the Android Security Team pushed out an extra patch.
Honor release Oreo for 7x.. i think next One It s Honor 8 ?
They're also updating their Huawei Backup app with a newer UI.
I haven't received any updates since Feb, B361, L02 anyone else in India got the security patches for April?
I was thinking this also. I hope it means that for true.
B405 out on FF, just security patches, so...

May patch, if someone interested.
well i am thinking opposite they may be clearing up the queue of the updates towards the end of line
I really hope we will get Oreo and Project Treble, that would most likely mean we could get some more stable ROMs on our phone
Oreo Oreo oreoooo!

I dunno. My phone still sits on B394 with august 2017 security updates. And it's bought officially. Go figure.
