Hi guys.Id like to ask you a little info.I rooted my Samsung S7 Edge with stock fw Nougat.I cant get updates via OTA.Is there a way to fix it?THX in advance.
once you root your device, a file in the operating system is changed so that you can not get OTA updates.
Currently there is no way to fix this.
you can try smart switch or go to sams mobile to see if there are any new updates.
currently the last update has February 1, 2017 security patch.

Hi...
Thanks in advance.
I couldnt find any thread related to official firmwere of AT&T galaxy s7
I have Samsung Galaxy S7 AT&T
SM-G930A
6.0.1
Baseband: G930AUCU2APG1
Build Number : MMB29M.G930AUCU2APG1
Please help me out.. Give me a link or let me know here...
I want to update my S7 to naugat and it is not updating over the air. When i go in settings, and press auto update... But it shows Software is up to date.
Please help me out.
Have you tried USB cable hooked up to a PC with Samsung SmartSwitch?
If that doesn't work, you will need to force your phone into Download Mode (Volume Down + Home + Power Button) and use ODIN on a PC to push AT&T official firmware over, which will erase all data on your S7.
http://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.12.3.zip
And then, the 4 actual firmware files to load into ODIN can be found here in this thread:

Download this U firmware and install using odin. It's a universal firmware for the AT&T S7 Edge, does not have any AT&T crap on it. It also doesn't have VoLTE & wifi calling, but who cares, it works just fine. I have an AT&T S7 Edge and I'm using this myself. I love it and it always get the OTA updates fast. This is the latest firmware with the January security patch. Enjoy and hope this helps. This is Android 7.0 Nougat
935U Firmware G935UUES4BRA1 for AT&T S7 Edge
Thanks I will try this this week end.

Everything is working on my AT&T Galaxy S7 Edge, including my GPS running the 935U firmware. By the way the firmware was just updated to G935UUES4BRC1 March security patch.

The latest firmware update is G935UUEU4BRD1 April Security Patch. I always update OTA via the software update in the setting menu and it downloads quick.

What firmware version are you on right now? If you want to go to SM-G935U then you have to start with the base of January and then update from there via OTA.

Just so there's no confusion here, no one person "updated it OTA". What you have is an official U rom which fetches updates whenever Samsung pushes them out.

If your on the U version, then go to Settings then Software Update and then tap Download Updates Manually. It should force an update. If not, download the updates from Sammobile and flash them using Odin.

Thank you! My S7 Edge ATT SM-G935A is on Marshmallow 6.0.1 now. Can I flash directly to the latest version or I need to go from the base on first and go 1-by-1 up to the latest?
Hi guyz
I have purchased Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935P but the i guess Tmobile firmware is currently installed. Is there anyway to confirm this.
Further, I want to upgrade to Android 8.0 but whenever I tap on system updates in settings it does not respond. I tried to update it with Samsung smart switch but it does not show any update.
Please suggest me a way to update my phone to android 8.0 without unlocking bootloader and rooting.
Thanks

Use Odin, i had this issue with my UK S7 edge BTU, download the 8.0 firmware from updato.com or sammobile and flash via Odin, use latest Odin for flashing 8.0.
I updated it but now i am facing connectivity issues.

I updated it but now facing connectivity issues and mobile data not working
Hey guys,
Use odin to update to oreo. After the update goes through its usual process, perform a cache wipe to further ensure a clean install and other temp files during installation. NOTE: For those that can't stand bloat, I bought package disabler pro (it was around 3.50 USD). I checked all bloat ware or apps I didn't use. This will further help battery life from my experience.
When all apps are checked, backspace out of the app and perform a restart on your phone. It will refresh your phone while all apps that were checked off while also be un-installed.
Wordy post yes but info is necessary for your benefit if you choose as such.
XDA rules!

Not sure then as using Odin to flash official software is nothing too taxing. As long as you have downloaded the correct firmware for the 935P it should contain the correct bootloader and modem files for your device, possibly master reset through recovery and cache but other than that i cant give you any further advice.
