So I rooted my phone using the Chainfire method I think, bad idea I know, Knox is tripped etc. But the title says it all really. I have no clue how I should go about getting it back. Any help would be valued.
By the way - I'm needing the STOCK Gallery because it is required to set the lockscreen wallpaper from settings. Not sure about another way to go about doing it. Anyways, thank you for any help.

can somebody please help me fix this?!
I've installed the first version of "project X" mod which changes the apps and system to look like galaxy s5
but with the first version there was a problem which forces some apps to close,,
an this is happening to me too and I can't use my phone at all. I can't install the newer version which has the fixed files because I'm not able to use my phone :crying:
I did a factory rest after doing backup to my phone and the same apps still have force closing issue.
I really got tired of this. I'm not using my phone since last saturday!

Hey guys I was wondering if I can get some help. I recently rooted my s5 via Geohots method and sometime in between then and now I only got round to checking my knox counter and all my info. I've only installed a few apps. (SuperSU. Root browser and titanium bk) I had sd maid installed before and installed lucky patcher the other day. Now I have a custom status (not sure if this occurs straight after root of after some app installz) even tho knox is still at 0 is there a reason for this status change? Anyway to return it to official? . Thanks a lot hope for some help. Cheers

It's reporting custom because you have in fact changed it to custom i.e. not stock. You can use an xposed module or similar program to fake the message so that it shows as official if you want to. Or alternately remove your root, etc so that SysSCOPE will see that you are 100% stock and report it as such. I'd prefer the former option myself or simply not worry about it saying custom.

Im new to rooting and stuff so please explain things in detail. I have samsung galaxy s4 i9505 on android 4.4.2 XXUGNG8. I rooted it yesterday using cf autoroot. I had to disable knox because of supersu. I also removed youtube.apk which was a system app so i could install another YouTube apk which had more features. Everything seemed to be working well untill i pressed the power button to just switch off the screen and then my phone just went to the samsung rebooting screen. The song didn't play and the screen that says samsung galaxy s4 gti9505 never came up. Just the screen saying samsung. Then it went to my lockscreen. The reboot is like a quick reboot. It doesnt take as long as a normal reboot. This doesn't always happen. It had happened 5 or 6 times since last night when i press the power button. However its annoying. It also happened after someone called my phone. After i finished and they put the phone down it just rebooted again.
Please can someone help me? Someone else already said to flash the latest firmware for my device. But will that remove the root? Also, i cant find the right version. For my phone the:
AP: I9505XXUGNG8
CP: I9505XXUGNG8
CSC:I9505BTUGNG2

Based upon the information provided, the most current version of your ROM is here. And yes, you will lose root when you flash the firmware through Odin. It will be as if it came new out of the box.
If i flash the firmware again should i stay unrooted?

Btw thanks for the firmware link. Right now the knox thing is 0x1 on my phone. After flashing this firmware, will it go vack to 0x0?

Root and debloat the stock ROM using the tools and guides in the forums. Whether you want to install a custom ROM or not is of course your decision. I tried a couple, namely EchoeROM and Imperium ROM. I personally found Imperium ROM to be more pleasant to use. I also thought it had a more professional appearance. There were a couple things in EchoeROM that took me back to web page interfaces of the 1990s. This time around, after replacing my phone's SIM card tray and removing the SIM lock with RegionLock Away, I focused on debloating the stock ROM instead of installing a custom ROM.
I chose to debloat because the only real selling point to the two ROMs above is that they are Galaxy S5 ports, and I found that the features they added were ones I didn't need. Even the S4 feature list is a bit overkill, but while there are more than a few gimmicky features in the S4 firmware, there are things to like in there. Yes, a lot of people complain about Touchwiz and how heavy it is. They're right, but in my experience taking the time to debloat the ROM and then installing a launcher from the Play Store to use in place of the Touchwiz launcher goes a long way to make the ROM pretty damn snappy. Is it ever going to be as snappy and responsive as an AOSP ROM? No, but in day to day usage I really believe you're not going to notice it.
I mentioned before about replacing the launcher with one from the Play Store. There are a ton of launchers available on the Play Store. I personally use Google Now Launcher, but I think I'm in the minority there. Most people use Nova or Apex launchers.
Regarding Knox, once set to 0x1, that's it. There's no going back.
I am sorry if this post is in the wrong section but i am new here and i don't really know where to post this so feel free to move it where ever you want.
My problem is that after rooting my galaxy s4 gt-i9505 with odin and it was successful when i got in i found that nearly all the apps have been wiped and that is the minor problem but the main issue that nearly all the system apps is not working, including play store , messages and many others and every time i restart the phone when it opens up it gives me the "certain" app has stoped working .. MANY masseges of this type like 5-10.
Also even after i installed FB it don't want to pass the login screen and it shuts down.
Again, i am sorry if this is in the wrong place but i know if someone is going to be able to help it is going to be you guys.

Im new to Samsung. Ive bought Galaxy A5 2016 (SM-A510FD) recently . This My Knox thing is really nice feature but
1. How to update apps which are installed inside of Knox folder? Because there is no play store app installed inside. For that same app should be installed out side of Knox folder too to get updates from Playstore? This is how Im updating apps now (really troublesome). How to update Whatsapp messenger which is installed in My knox folder? :crying:
2. Does using My Knox drains battery faster? or effects battery life of the device in any way?

n' my bad. Somehow i didnt see that in app manager settings G apps are disabled thats why its not showing in add app window. I thought app manager is the same one as in main settings menu. So never opened it.
