G935f - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hello guys, what's your recommendation for best roms, and what is your daily driver rom?

The stock rom is already great, on xda there are so many roms; The best are (Based on votes and performance) -> SuperMan Rom and LineageOS (Official Support)

Hi,
There is not a single best ROM, the best you can do is read the comments on the threads, read the OP in the ROM threads and then see if the ROM you are looking for has everything you want. Everyone has different needs, and for that reason each one will prefer a certain ROM, you need to do some research for yourself and check what's the most suited for you, see which has the fewest bugs that would annoy you, etc.
Have fun researching!
~Lord

My primary/daily is superstock 2.8 but dualbooting ambasadii s8 port & Remix revolution as secondarys
I fully recommend either one as a daily depending what you want
Stock - superstock
S8 port - ambasadii
Lineage - remix revolution (RR)

What is your favourite or current custom rom?

Hi guys, I wanted to get xposed for my i9505 but It seems I can only do it on a deodexed rom, thus I was thinking to install a custom one. What roms do you guys use?
Sorry.
Im using GT-I9500[emoji16]

Dualbooted with Albe95 S6 port and Fusionrom 6.0, xposed should work on both (haven't tried on Albe95 ROM yet but there are unofficial tutorials here on XDA for TW Roms)
My current rom is the GPE rom.
I'd say it also is my favorite rom, since I keep coming back to it. It doesn't offer much in terms of customization. But it's very stable and problem free for me. Xposed also worked on this rom the last time I tried.
i recommend for sure Optimized CyanogenMod 12.1 builds by AntaresOne
this is the best rom based on cm12.1 it is battery friendly and multitasking is magic in this rom when you use it you forget to install touchwiz the rom is very battery friendly but i didn't try xposed and it is developed by the best devs antaresone and alucard for kernel on it you can see it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...lop/exclusive-antaresone-alucard24-s-t3066696

ROM Fight for Galaxy Note 3 - Balanced ROM between Performance, UX and Battery

Hi all ROM Developers!
I'm first used Norma ROM v13 after stock rom on my Note3 (SM-N900S).
I now want compare roms. Phronesis, Norma, Aurora, Dark-Au and etc.
What ROM is best for Performance, UX and Battery?
For me Phronesis v3.
Dark au v9 just perfect
N9005
Norma Note5 Port ROM is also good
Aryamod Awesome Rom
I'm using Phronesis v4.1. Pretty stable and highly customizable.
So far I had most pleasant experience with temasek's ROM's. First previous cm12 L builds and now with cm3 M build. I tried Resurrection Remix newest M build but I had some issues which I hadn't with temasek build. Same was with Phronesis v5 N5 port. I literally couldn't start any app on it. Just have in mind my issues was caused by some settings which probably I should have set I don't know. Overall from a newbie point of view currently I'm using temasek's ROM as it give me less issues then others.

Which ROM are you using?

I am trying to decide which ROM is the most future packed ROM for our Moto G4 Plus. So tell me which ROM you are using in the poll. :good:
If you want feature rich ROM
Try resurrection remix
But if you want stability try cm 13 / orion / beanstalk
Note : this is my personal opinion !
I'm on soak test Nougat... but soon I'll be flashing CM14, no doubt!
After trying several different custom ROMs I went back to rooted stock Marshmallow with ElementalX kernel. Seems to be the most stable, and smoothest . Not to mention the best battery life of all that I have tried. I have an XT 1625.

Best Rom (opinion )

Hey
I have a G900F and I'm wondering wich rom you consider to be the best and why. I have stock marshmallow and it's been laggy lately. I would like to give a try to a custom ROM. I'm interested in lineage os and resurrection remix but I'm not sure if I should use any of them since I read on the forum that both have some sort of problem with gapps. Can you help?
Tell me if it's safe to install any of the above or if you can recommend another.
Thanks

Welcome to the S5 community @balangmusic,
Have a look at this thread for some ROM suggestions:
Which ROM do you like most?
RR 5.7.4 is a popular choice and I highly recommend using it. It is a little outdated in terms of security updates but it gets the job done and it is feature packed. LineageOS is currently a little buggy with Google Play Services, where your phone would freeze after auto updating.
Saber
or p h oenix rom
general rule - AOSP roms such as the ones you are interested in - can get nougat (which comes with perks such as extra features and extra security), bugs (as stated above) stability and compatibility issues (some have issues with fingerprint and sometimes camera) .
Touchwiz roms (e.g. Omega) - can only get up to marshmallow (or lollipop depending on the rom). more stable
I lean more towards Touchwiz based rom. if i wanted AOSP rom, I would have gotten a Nexus. I'm also not to concerned about what version of android i'm running.
I personally use Xtrestolite which is lollipop, touchwiz based and quite old. However, it's very stable. I'm having no issues.
Why do I use lollipop? - I really like Ktoonsez's Kernel.
In my opinion, I like Xtrestolite, or Alliance (although both are currently unsupported and are lollipop based at latest).
Omega is a Touchwiz based one (and pretty good) that supports Marshmallow now I believe. I reckon you should give that a try if you want a good balance between up-to-dateness, features and stability.
I'll post any links is you are interested in any of these and want links.
Edit: also very interested to hear about other good roms and people's opinions
Also Red's Revenge seems pretty cool and recent. havent tried it yet though.
Thanks man.
Can you give me links for omega and red's revenge?

Good luck!
Try them out and let us know how you go.
I have Lineage Os 14.1 on my S5 and it works perfectly, I think this is the best Rom because cyanogenmod turned in Lineage.

Recommend A Custom Rom .

Hellow guys, i am pretty much new here, and i am having on my hands a Galaxy S8 with the Exynos Proccesor. I want it to refresh it with a custom Rom. Has to be stable ( as much as it can be) and safe . What are your recomendations?
Thank you in Advacne.
Welcome, If you are looking for an AOSP based ROM, I would recommend Resurrection Remix. Its based on android 10 but has multiple customization options and is quiet stable as well. There are other great roms as well like Hades rom, Alexis ROM. In android 13, rice droid is a nice rom but it has some bugs for the time being.
