Hello everyone,
I flashed the latest franco kernel on my op3t but the phone became very slow, so I reverted back to the stock kernel, but the problem still present. for example, when I open YouTube app, it shows a static reload arrow and it takes 4-5 seconds to load videos, same with app downloads from the store, it shows the same reload arrow for a couple of seconds before it gives me the option to download the app or cancel, also Lastpass lags for 4-5 seconds after login.
Another thing that got messed up is the reboot/shutdown animation, instead of the spinning circle animation, I get a static flickering one.
I flashed the stock kernel again, flashed the os, did a factor reset, a complete wipe but still have the same problem
any ideas ?.
Start over again. Wipe everything via TWRP. And I really mean EVERY partition via advanced wipe option. Connect your phone to your PC and upload a full stock ROM. Reboot once again from TWRP into your recovery. Let your phone boot and see, if your problem is fixed.
Are you sure you're flashing the right packages for OP3T and not the OP3?

Solved the issue by downgrading to MM and then flashing 4.1.6 again. Thank you

Hello, Newbie Here!
So I recently flashed the Resurrection Remix ROM Build 6.8 and Kernel 6.2.
The Build is rather stable and In my honest opinion better than CM12.1 which I was on previously.
So the normal functions of the phone are normal and I feel this is a much stable build. I use a ASUS Zenfone 5(ASUS_T00F)
But I face random reboots where the phone restarts itself and gets stuck at the boot. Only when i try to force reboot from the bootloop screen does the phone restart normally and even that takes three or four attempts. First I thought it was just getting used to the new Kernel then when this started occurring frequently I became more aware that this might just be a potential risk.
Today afternoon, My Phone was literally stuck at bootloop for 2 hours.... Only when I tried to do three-four manual forced reboots by pressing my power key and with each instance entering the TWRP mode and doing a dalvik and cache wipe only then was I able to boot up my phone normally.....It totally drained the battery though. I was at 78% and when my phone finally booted up I was shocked to see just 1% charge left.
Everytime this issue occurs...either the phone is completly stuck in bootloop or goes to the "Android is upgraing your apps" notification and then again comes back to the bootloop.
I have also done two fresh flashes before this as well so I know its got nothing to do with a dirty flash.
I then started googling for the same issue that other Zenfone 5 users might be experiencing but to my shock...No threads on it could be found with the issue that Im experiencing.
Pretty frustrated right now I have no clue what to do.
Donot want to go back to STOCK ROM..It sucks.
Please help Guys!
Hello.
You should try to format system and reinstall the rom + xposed. After that you can format data, cache, internal storage. I hope that it will help you.
And did you have this problem on CM12.1?

Download latest firmware from Asus' Support Page. And flash it via adb sideload.
I m now on Stock Rom without any problems no screen freeze no bootloops ...
A little bit of background.
Prior to this problem I was running dirty unicorns and elementalx kernel. Given that lately I had some freezing issues I decided that iro was time to update my ROM. Being the first time that I manually update a ROM and not having found anything online I thought (dumb decision) that all I had to do was to flash the most recent version. After I did that the phone did an app optimization (idk if that's how it's called, basically it optimised all the apps for the new version of the ROM) . After that the phone wasn't booting up, the dirty unicorns loading screen was running for half an hour and nothing happened so I restated the phone. When it asked for my sequence a message popped up "it looks like your vendor image is obsolete". The phone still wasn't booting up so I decided to restart once again and install the latest vendor image. After that the phone wasn't booting up so I decided to do a backup with twrp (version 3.0.0.0) and do a factory reset.
Plot twist the twrp decryption sequence (that worked 10 minutes before) now wasn't working so I had no way to access any of the phone's files.
Basically the phone won't turn on and I have no way of accessing it's files
I'd try a factory reset but there are some photos and whatsapp messages that are important to me and I'd rather not lose them.
Any tips?
Apologies for my terrible English

The best thing to do is this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guides-how-to-guides-beginners-t3206928/page384. Just go full stock without formating the internal. Flash twrp and see if you can get your photos. Next time back your photos up with Google photos if available in your area. Good luck

To update a ROM all you usually need to do is flash the newer version, but you also need to flash the newer vendor.img of the updated ROM is based on a newer Google build. Failure to do this is what caused the "it looks like your vendor image is obsolete" message to appear. I'm guessing you know this though as you went on to flash it later.
Not sure what happened with TWRP but you've done something else wrong at some point. Best idea (as pointed out above) is to flash the factory images. You can try it without formatting userdata in order to retrieve whatever it is that's important on your storage, but once you've retrieved whatever you need (if you even can) you'll need to format it because you really need to start fresh.
I installed 8.1 last week. Everything was working smoothly. Was trying magisk youtube mod. Screwed something up. Phone went into bootloops. Reinstalled everything .Wiped data. Now my phone reboots randomly. Everything stock .Rooted with Magisk. Mainly it happens whenever i launch a new app(An app which was not launched before). After few tries, the app opens up and doesnt' result in reboot.
Any ideas what could it be ?
You should of wiped system and cache also might be your problem. Also if you where using any substratum themes remove then manually as well. Not sure if they would cause reboots.

FC's are one thing but random reboots are a completely different animal. I would completely wipe the phone and apply the latest factory image using flash-all.bat. If that doesn't fix it you may have a hardware issue (eg. degraded battery).
Wiping caches helped
I'm running SUPERXE-8.1.0-OPP5.005_v1.5.1.
My 6P was going crazy, restarting every 5 minutes or so. It rebooted so quickly it felt like a soft restart, so I thought powering off and rebooting to recovery using the power + down volume to clear the cache in TWRP would help.
Cleared system and Dalvik and powered down. Full reboot and (for now) it feels much happier and hasn't spontaneously restarted yet. That was about 15 hours ago.
Hope I didn't just Jynx myself, but I think it helped...
I've flashed the final 8.1 images to upgrade my 8.0 unmodified system. Now I've random reboots, usually when I've leave home to go to work or vice versa. Something related to wifi, that I'm connecto on both my work and home?
Same here I had to factory reset I'm having a feeling it's going to happen again. I am on factory, rooted with magisk. I always use SuperSU not saying that is what it is however it did happen when I got home from work and just kept rebooting before I could unlock.
Hi, I've been using this phone for last 2 weeks and ive experience this SystemUi constantly restart by itself. No error or crash popup, just the mobile data goes to error sign -> no sim card -> mobile data. Sometimes rebooting the device does help but most of time it does not.
Ive excounter this problem either unroot or root.
Have anyone experience this issue too?
OnePlus 6t, 8gb, Matte Black, International Ver

Yeah I've noticed something like that. It's frozen up for a few seconds. Screen touches become unresponsive. Last time it happened I was just going back pages on Amazon app and it froze. Unrooted T-Mobile latest update. Maybe that's why they have a on/off schedule in settings.

I had the same issue. I tried to recover by restarting. Now i am stuck in boot loop and constantly rebooting. Please help here.
This isuue happened to me since upgraded to OB1. My phone was rebooting randomly after booted for just a few minutes. I have tried get rid of all Magisk modules, dirty flash rom, reflash twrp and magisk. Etc ... After that I can't access the phone anymore. The phone just kept on shutting down after logged in. So i tried to get it recoverd by twrp but sadly, twrp didnt show the login screen so the data was encrypted including my backup recoveries.
I ended up fixing by rebranding with stock ota fastboot.
I think you should first backing up your data to external storage if you still have access to twrp. And just do whatever needs after that.
Don't be dumb like me and Good luck.

My Redmi Note 7 is on MIUI 10.3.9 Stable. I recently updated to this ROM from TWRP Recovery. It was working fine for two days until problems started to occur. My phone would freeze every now and then when I use it. The only time it doesn't freeze is when I don't use it. I have to reboot it every time just to get it to work for a few minutes. When I open certain apps (games especially), my phone kind of freezes, I tap on the navigation bar home icon and it completely freezes. What should I do? My TWRP Recovery has gone so I'm using the MIUI Recovery 3.3.0 I have also performed a factory reset and wipe cache.
