I'm looking for a cheap Android smart watch with built in Led notification light, same as on a phone, the watch would take the notification from my phone and that can be configured to light up different colours for email, Facebook, WhatsApp, viber etc.
I'm really just need a coloured flashing led function on the smartphone, but currently finding that a hard feature to find.... I would of hoped it would of been a basic function!

So my notification light isn't working for emails and Google voice. It works for texts and other things. I tried light flow and that didn't work at all, even after unchecking everything in settings (I would buy the full version to get voice support if I could get the rest to work, test mode doesn't even work). I have searched around and can't find out anything.
I use Light Manager. You have to uncheck the system email led notification. Settings Display->Click on the Words "Notification light" brings up all the system Led options. . Any other Apps , disable their Led notifications individually. Gmail is an issue on this phone. The Gmail App doesn't have a separate Led option. It's either notification on or off. If you leave on Light Manager can't change the color on this phone like it does on a Samsung. If you turn notifications off, you get your custom color, but not status bar notification. Light Manager continues to flash your custom color until you open Gmail. That might work if you don't mind missing Status bar previews . As far as Light Flow, I haven't found a way to make it work on this phone. The developer says people are having some success, but didn't know how. There's a section about LG Led's not playing so well in the app description.
Yeah i am less worried about custom colors, at least want the notification light to come on, which it doesn't for either Google voice or Gmail, and that's with the stock notification or light flow.
I have read tons of people saying light flow works perfect on this phone. I'll try light manager then, see if that works.
Hi,
I really don't understand something. I'm using right now LEDBlinker for my Nexus 7 (2013), When I have a facebook or messenger message, the light blink slow, a email blink faster and when battery is low blink very very fast.
But I don't like the interface of LEDBlinker... So i'm looking for LightFlow, but I cannot find the option to blink faster or slower the LED notification in LightFlow. The interface is very simple and I prefer by miles the interface of LightFlow... but cannot find where to tell when I receive a notification for a specific app the speed pulse (or blink rate).
Thanks alot!
Should be at the bottom of the LED tab as something like Flash Rate or Flash Speed IIRC. Don't use it anymore, so I might be wrong.
It is on the same tab where you can change the color (which I don't think works on n7). The "light" tab, it's called LED flash rate.
One of the nice things about my Note 4 is that the LED notification light will automatically change its brightness based on ambient light levels (I even tweaked this further in the Synapse Kernel app).
Does the top notification LCD on the V20 (and V10) auto aadjust the brightness (in the same manner it would with the primary display)?
My concern is the the top display may be too bright at night if it does not dim automatically.
All I saw in one video is a setting to turn it off at a set time (such as 12am-6am).
I personally am use to the notification LED, as I can see it from a distance, and have it set so different colors represent different alerts (email, txt, Facebook). It would have been nice if the V20 included an LED as well.
I have a note 4 and never noticed that
Yeah, I have the V10 and actually miss having a notification LED.
I always set it up to flash a certain color depending on what the notification was (Green = messages, White = Email, Blue = Facebook, etc) so I could know to not pick up the phone unless it was one of the things I deemed important. It saved me from getting distracted just cuz I "want to see if I'm missing something". I'd love if there were an app that could use the second screen as a big LED for this purpose.
i have the lg v20 and yes the 2nd screen does dim and bright up depending on the sunlight/room light. i have my screen set on auto

Click to collapse
It dims for sure. WAY too much for me. I can hardly see it in the dark. I have not found a way to change it.
Hello, got my S7E these days and some custom roms I tried on my old Note 3 had a feature (IDK the name) where the screen would quickly light up in black and white when you receive a notification (gmail, telegram, whatsapp, sms...)
Do we have something like on our phone? AOD won't support third-party apps, so it doesn't take this place...
Quick edit: I found out that I'm looking for Ambient Display! Is there any app that would do this?
EDIT2: I found AcDisplay and it does almost all I wanted, but it won't unlock with my digital after I check the notification.. :/
Greetings,
Is there a way to set a white background with black letters for notifications on Wear OS. I know there are some 3rd party apps, notification replacements which can do that, but can it be done somehow on stock notification system. On watches, everything is about saving battery, so dark mode is logic but it's very hard sometimes to read notifications outside on a bright light..
