To my understanding, ims.upc.nl is probably a calling centre or something similar for my carrier Virgin Media Ireland (They used to be UPC Ireland and UPC is owned by Liberty Global which is probably why it says upc.nl instead of upc.ie or something similar)
Is it possible to use the sip: protocol to enable WiFI Calling? Im guessing the short answer is no but some may say otherwise

Wifi calling is carrier dependent, only ONE carrier per country has it, in the US it is T-Mobile USA, in the UK it is Orange. Wifi calling routes your cellular call through the internet. It is not about setting Gmail, or SIP Calls etc.
AT&T for example, does not have that capability.

Using wi-fi calling on a G900A on T-mobile

I just now switched from AT&T to T-mobile because I finally got sick of AT&T for various reasons including very high prices. The network lock is removed. How can I get wi-fi calling to work on this phone? When I try to enable it, I get "To enable this service you must confirm your emergency address.". Then I see "Wi-Fi calling lets you make and receive calls over Wi-Fi with your AT&T account. When you use Wi-Fi Calling, information about the country where the Wi-Fi connection is made will be sent to your carrier. Learn more about Wi-Fi Calling.". The last two words are a link to https://m.att.com/shopmobile/wireless/features/wifi-calling.html?referrer=. It seems there's a hangup of AT&T versus T-mobile. What should I be doing to get this working?
In case anyone is wondering, this particular phone is being used because it must be kept unrooted. I have a G900T that has been rooted.

T-Mobile wifi calling possible on unlocked S7 Edge (SM-G935U)?

I have an unlocked Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935U). My carrier is Total Wireless (Verizon MVNO). I recently got a new office at work, and the Verizon coverage in this part of the building is terrible. I use wifi for data but cellular calling basically doesn't work at all.
I've been looking at other networks, and I'm leaning toward T-Mobile or MetroPCS, one of the reasons being they have wifi calling and the wifi at my office is plenty fast. I checked in settings to see the wifi calling option, but when I go to settings > connections > more connection settings, which is where the wifi calling setting is supposed to be, there's nothing about wifi calling.
I had a thought that maybe the wifi calling option isn't there because my current carrier doesn't support wifi calling, so I contacted Samsung support. I asked if I get a SIM from a carrier that supports wifi calling, would the wifi calling option be enabled. They said that unlocked phones don't support wifi calling at all.
This confuses me, because this thread mentions some people were able to use T-Mobile wifi calling on an unlocked S7/S7Edge. But that thread is older, so maybe for some reason wifi calling was removed from the unlocked S7 Edge with the Nougat update?
I suppose the only way to find out for sure is to get a T-Mobile or MetroPCS SIM and see what happens. But is anyone able to shed some light on if this is even worth trying? I suppose it's also worth trying out just to see if regular cellular calling on T-Mobile might be fine at my new desk, but hopefully there's some way to do wifi calling.
Unfortunately I think you need the sm-g935f to get t mobile wifi calling. Don't think it was ever achieved on the U models
I had an s7 edge from T-Mobile (SM-G935T) but I flashed the unlocked firmware essentially making it a SM-G935U and I had VoLTE and Wifi calling working with no issues. It was about a month ago, so it was on Nougat. I would expect no issues with an actual SM-G935U on T-Mobile.
Well, I answered my own question. I switched over to the T-Mobile 10 GB $50/month prepaid plan and when I changed SIMs the phone gave me a "reconfiguring your device for new SIM card" message. Wifi calling is now active.
Also, this is a list of phones that support T-Mobile wifi calling. I probably should've checked here first.

VoWiFi

Hello!
Newbie here. First post. Have been lurking around regarding Sony's refusal to unlock WiFi calling (VoWifi).
I have a Xperia Z3+ dual sim (E6533) and I am interested in WiFi calling because I don't want people to know when I am out of the country. Dialing 800 numbers (three work numbers I need to use are 800 only) also works when using WiFi calling outside the US. My previous Xperia was a unlocked t-mobile single sim model. It was great until it died. I didn't know that WiFi was a t-mobile only thing and now I am stuck with this dilemma.
I played around with the hidden access menu (#*#*4636*#*#) and I was surprised that WiFi calling is possible but deactivated (under phone info). Activating "Wifi Calling Provisioned" doesn't do any good, since it goes back to OFF once you access the menu again.
Anybody know if it IS possible to activate Wifi calling? Is this a phone or carrier restriction? Is there a firmware mod that can eliminate this restriction?
Thanks!

LTE version: WiFi calling?

So I got myself the LTE version of this tab.
Was hoping wifi calling was an option.. But it doesn't seem to support it (at least I can't seem to find the option)
I have a tmobile Sim card and when I use it on my note 8 I can see the wifi calling option.
Anyone know a way to enable this? Or the the s5e simply not support this feature.?
I think this depends on your cell provider as some networks do not support WiFi calling

Yeah it does,
In my case my provider does support wifi calling and using the same Sim card I can activate wifi calling on a couple of other devices I have., just not on this tablet because I am unable to find the option.

In that case I would take your device to either the local high street retail branch of your Service Provider or a Samsung Service Centre and ask them for further assistance. There is a chance that the SGTS5e does not support WiFi calling as it is a tablet afterall.
