(Solved) Right way to simulate a battery pull? - Zenfone 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is "power + volume down" is the way to simulate battery pull like other phones?. I tried it but it does nothing but making me press power buttom twice to start device.
Any info about this? or zen5 does not supported? I nearly can't find anywhere.

All I know about Power + Volume Down is booting to edl mode/download mode or something similar to that. I use Power + Volume down to reflash clean bootloaders using xFSTK (Fixing bricked Zen 5's). If you delay pressing volume down (pressing power first and press volume down as quick as you can before it vibrates) you can reach recovery mode. I think there isn't 'any simulating battery pull' in Zen 5. Only force power off. CMIIW

@ezrawk Got it! Thanks for your explaination.

[GUIDE] Boot Key Combinations A501

There is a lot of info about key combinations for boot modes, but all of them are either incomplete, wrong or do not clearly state which button is VolumeUp and which VolumeDown. I want to clarify this in a small thread.
Put the tablet in front of you, so the power button is top left. Now we've got the following modes:
Factory Reset - Hold power and right volume button - works?
Update from sd/update.zip - Hold power and left volume button - works
Recovery - Hold power and left volume button - ???
APX - Attach to PC and hold power and reset button - works, display stays off?
Some people state that it is important how to set the the screen lock switch. Is that true?
Could someone please add the info which of the volume buttons increases and decreases volume?
I am not sure about the recovery mode. Does it replace the update mode if TWRP or CWM is installed?

When in fastboot mode, power button doesn't work

I'm trying to resuscitate a Nexus 4 that was unused for a couple of years.
I managed to get the battery charged. Pressing the power button quickly shows the battery full. Holding the power button does nothing.
I can get to the fastboot menu easily. I can navigate the menu with the volume buttons just fine.
But I can't select any menu option. Pressing or holding the power button both do nothing. From here, there is no way to enter recovery, boot, or power off.
When connected to my Mac, fastboot devices has no output.
This was a well loved phone, and all of the buttons feel right when pressing them.
I've searched and searched, but finally ran out of ways to describe my problem as a query.

[How-to] Access Download Mode and Recovery

Didn't see this anywhere quite yet.
To access either mode, you'll need to hold the Bixby button along with the respective volume button when powering on the device.
Bixby + Volume Down then holding down the power button to turn the device on brings up Download Mode.
Bixby + Volume Up then holding down the power button to turn the device on brings up the Recovery console.
Thats alot easier to press

turn off on a brick phone

my OP6T is bricked and I have to turn it off to repair it with the volume + - command.
How do I turn it off? There is a special combination of buttons?
Hold volume-up, volume-down, and power buttons simultaneously. After a few seconds, it should reboot. Immediately after rebooting, hold volume-down and power buttons to get to recovery. Select power off in recovery.

I already tried but when I press turn off it has put the recovery mode back and now it's bricked on the screen where there is the message that says the phone is bricked.
Thanks anyway.

I just went through this same thing last night with my OP6. Make sure the device is unplugged from the computer, or any other power sources. Select Power Off and immediately hold the volume + button for 5 seconds and while still holding volume + plug it into your PC.
It's okay I turn off and my phone is good now.

Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro STUCK in download mode/recovery mode

HELP
My phone's power button is already broken so I can't turn it on using the power button. I tried to by using the charger and hold volume DOWN and HOME button and it takes me to download mode.
But I don't know why I can't cancel it by pressing volume down nor continue by pressing volume up. All I can do is holding volume DOWN, and HOME button again but then it takes me to blue android screen says "no commmand", then recovery mode shows up. So now I'm stuck at the recovery mode.
Can you help me find the solution for this problem?
