I am using resurrection remix ROM in my lenovo zuk z1 and apparently when u need to autoboot the device when the usb gets plugged in, you need to edit in this file (/->system->bin->lpm) which i could not find it among all the other files i even tried searching for (ipod) but no result. So if anyone can help me figuring out that what file do i need to customize to make it autoboot, it will be of great help..!

I wanted to flash purenexus , i tied the steps in the guide from the general section of the forum, but when i went into bootloader and connected to my comp in did not install any drivers and doesnt show any devices connected, i tried from sdk it also said no devices connected, any help would be great
What operating system are you running on your computer?

I assume you are probably using windows. Did you follow all steps of the guide? It should work.
Have you tried a different USB port for example plugging into a USB 2 port instead of a USB 3 port.
Hello, been using CyanogenMod (marshmallow) for 3 weeks now and last thursday my zenfone 5 stopped charging and is no longer recognized in 2 computers. I tried using other cables, other charges, other computers and today I even tried installing another rom (Resurrection Remix MM). Any chance this is software and fixable and not hardware? Thanks.

Did some research and someone else on the internet solved this by taking the battery off his phone while it was charging and putting it back. Anyway to do something similar with the zenfone non removable battery? Will open the phone to take the battery off it while it's still plugged be a good idea?

Hello Everyone, I have flashed my Lenovo K4 Note with RR 5.8.3 recently, everything went fine thanks to the developers. But my sd card and phone memory won't show in PC after connection through data cable. I tried all the methods in Google of USB driver updating and all, but nothing is working. Please help am not able to transfer files or access my phone in P.C.

This happened to me too .. try enable usb debugging and oem unlock If it did not work .. try another pc or install new win then install driver and i'm sure it will be work

Thanks for the prompt reply. Dude, a not able to find OEM unlock in the Developer Options, earlier it used to be there. And i tried USB debug still not working.

Hey, Bro, I found the solution
1. Goto C:/Windows/INF and search for wpdmtp.inf & right click and install it.
2. Turn on safe mode on your phone and then connect it to PC then remove safe mode.

Brother i think you have missed something. Open developer option and ON USB Debugging. If you connect your phone with PC then by default it will be connected as a charger you have to change it to Transfer Files.
Swipe down your notification pannel and there is a notification of USB touch that and new popup will open to phone and then change it to Transfer Files and you are done. Now you can transfer files.

Goto device manager in pc, under portable devices you will find MTP device. Right click and uninstall the driver. A new icon with exclamation mark should appear. Double click on it, installation wizard pops up then click on ' browse my computer for drivers' then you find mtp drivers now install MTP USB Device... Not MTP Device. Just reconnect the phone. And the job is done.

Hello please that can help me I am totally lost ... my phone lenovo vibe k4 note after 4 months of normal use ... suddenly I notice that the charge percentage thinks and descends quickly like a crazy Then it loads itself ... and again the pc can not detect it in normal mode or the mode of download (by the method of flash tool) ...
Hi, my brother got this phone with RR 7.1.1 installed and it seems like the rom has lots of bugs because it reboots from time to time and instead of botting to the system it bots to TWRP, I downloaded Lineage OS to install it but the phone isnt detected at all by the PC, like, it wont even tell me there is a new device connected, the usb port is working because I can charge it just fine with the charger but nothing works when connecting it to the PC, anyone has faced this problem or knows how to fix it? Also, can I just downgrade to stock marshmallow?

Go to settings, developer options and enable debugging mode. When you will connect via usb it should ask for authorization. Post authorizing, pull down the menu and set usb to data transfer.
There are other options like using memory card or transfer via xender.
hi everyone,
so, I had several issue with my internal microphone after I installed aosp.
So I tried a lot of solutions plus to install a lot of different custom roms.
I then decide to go back to stock firmware by Sony, so via flashtoll/ xperi firm I downloaded the latest available firmware for Sony XPeria X Compact.
I plugged in but the pc didn't recognize the phone, I downloaded all drivers, tried windows 10 and mac but nothing.
After this my phone ran out of battery and when i plugged in to charge the phone led was going from to red to green and viceversa.
So the only way to charge it was in .....mode(when the led is blu), all day charging and i could switch it on but still doesn't recognize when charging and no usb connection with pc so I think to convert the .ftf to flashable .zip but i am not sure if is the right method.
Can you please help me with this??

Is your USB cable healthy? It sounds like bad cable. Afaik it is not possible to flash ftf through twrp. But if I recall correct there was a recovery flashable zip version on a thread in general section you can give it a try but still I would check the cable first. I had similar problems with bad cables before.

Hiiii, sorry for the late reply, no the cable is definitely not the original one, I will try tonight with better ones like a Samsung cable and let you know.
In case can I ask you a link or latest recvoery flashable zip for Sony Xperia X Compact?

I tried with original cable but still the device is not charging and recognized.
I tried to flash light Aroma and the setup was fine but is now stock at the sony logo.
Because in the guide says that you should flash original latest stock before flashing light aroma through TWRP.
So the only way I guess is to wait a new custom rom that is properly working and I guess bye bye microphone and bye bye charger unless I bring it to some repair shop.
When you connect it to the PC, does it detects the device even if doesn't recognize? you can see it under usb devices on device manager.

no I don't think so, I checked on windows.
I also tried with proper cable to connect it with Mac and Windows but nothing, I mean the led is going as i mentioned from red to green but the device is not recocnized.
By the way now I have another problem, after i tried to install light aroma is still stocked at sony logo also if i install different custom rom via twrp.
I did factory reset and tried to install omni rom and still at sony logo, i hope the setup for arome light didn't modify some settings because now i cannot use usb and cannot install new stuff via sd card

yes i tried but no detection.
By the way since i tried to install light aroma which is automatic installing kernel as well i am stuck a sony logo.
I tried factory reset and install multiple roms like aosp but also here is stuck at sony logo because the kernel is not the related one anymore.
I tried to flash the kernel via twrp by doing install img rather than zip, then select the kernel and then boot but i receive an error saying the file is bigger then the target device so i think i am ********

so, i realized that i broke the charging port and i bought a new one online, i will replace it as soos i will receive it and flash original stock, then try new roms
will wait around 15-20 days but for 15 dollars i guess is worthy
Knew that it was USB connection but did not think USB c port could get damaged so I suggested you to check cable. Old USB ports were easy to damage but USB c ports seemed to be durable since there are no protruding parts like the old ones. Anyway hope your problem will be solved.

yessss, I manually changed the usb charging port and I was able to flash stock rom. SO happy, I WILL wait for a new release of aosp 9. Thanks for your help
If you're interested, to answer the original question in the thread title - use Flashtool sin editor to dump system.sin to system.ext4, then use SuperR's kitchen 'create rom zip' from the ext4...
I'm having a Sony Xperia X Compact and ever since the Oreo update the trouble began.
It drained the battery constantly and would not connect to any computer with any type of usb cable or adapters.
I contacted Sony and after 4 months of back and forth they told me that the phone is out of warranty and they cannot help.
I started looking into hardware issues, found not problems, replaced the phone port charger and battery (the battery was faulty and currently I'm waiting for a new one). While still using the old battery I did a factory reset, no help there.
I followed instruction on Sony website to unlock the phone and bootloader (worked with incomplete instructions), went through developer options ... etc. Nothing I tried worked.
Ultimately what I want to do is install Nougat back or fix the Oreo and be able to connect to a computer using a USB anytime.
Two things I noticed in the phone:
The bootloader was greyed out until last night, now it magically became alive. Last night I installed some apps for Quick boot tool and that might done something. On another thread I read that if the bootloader is greyed out the bootloader is already unlocked.
The USB Connectivity > USB connection mode says "nothing connected" and I am literally connected to the computer as I type this.
Any way to make things work?
