My phone is draining it's battery really fast and the process responsible for it just reads "Android" (see the image)
Confidently this happened with the installation of Magisk so now I don't know what's causing it Magisk or it's something else.
Download another app to see battery with more details. If u are rooted use Greenify to hibernate most apps
Download wakelock detectord or betterbatterystats and then post screenshots.
Block or uninstall Google Search. Disable Xiaomi Location.

Anybody know of a battery stats app that works on KitKat? I've tried Gsam and Betterbatterystats but they both don't work.. I'm trying to figure out my screen on time
Settings > battery > screen

I have Battery Stats Pro. To work this app first you must install Xposed installer and then install framework in Xposed installer and reboot. Then you must install some module to enable battery stats, when you install this, xposed installer will automaticly notify you to enable this. I have installed app EnableBatteryStatsPermission_1.2. And your phone must be rooted.
Hi all, this is my first post after reading a lot.
I post here because i cannot in "Android Development" section (<10 posts). Sorry.
I've flashed "N7100XXUEML6 PreRooted, DeOdexed, Zipaligned & KNOX Free" following correct procedure w. full wipe and almost everything works fine exept issue below.
From Philz Recovery i wiped to install a new ROM
wipe cache
From Advanced wipe dalvik
then i've installed the ROM w/o reboot
with Dr. Ketan V6 i rooted , deKnoxed rom, put tweak and then reboot.
With Titanium i've installed again all app.s missed from google restore. Only app.s w/o. data.
Issue: When the phone is apparently in deep sleep w. black screen face up, it often but randomly in time awake by itself and soon after it switch off again.
I'm very upset of this because it drain battery a lot and so far i cannot get to the end of the day w/o. charging it again.
Do anyone knows how to solve?
You can install betterbatterystats or wakelock detector app to investigate the reason.

Wakelock detector gives stats starting from the last reboot. Sounds like something is amiss. Try wiping cache & data from Application Manager in Settings.
Phones do not wake up for no reason, guaranteed something is to blame, either your own installed app or a system app like Google+ etc. Make sure location is turned off, wifi always scanning is disabled. There are so many tools to track this stuff down, you MUST persevere! Good luck
i really don't know why but after flashing this sound mod it's solved.
I start the phnoe today 7 and so far battery is on 92%
Edit 26 Jan: Could it be battery stats to be deleted?
Edit 2 Feb: yes it can. I deleted batterystats.bin from system\data and ... magic! ... solved. Now my battery let the cell on for 2,5 days using normally.
Hi
I was tired of the instability with root, custom roms and kernels and decided to go back stock.
I flashed stock firmware from Sammobile and did a factory reset afterwards. Only app I have installed that changes anything is greenify with aggressive doze. Could that do it? Witnessed it twice already. My phone vibrates 2 times and then reboot. Could I have done anything with custom kernel so something in my phone is broken?
do you have an sdcard installed in your phone?
if yes, then try using phone without one.
clear cache after removing card and reboot.
also install a cpu temperature monitoring app that shows temp all the time on screen.
This way you can monitor is the issue is sdcard or thermall shutdown/reset.
I think this is heading in the right direction. I have a stock S7edge and 40GB of music and about 10GB photos on my 128 GB Samsung SD card. I have been trying for a month to track down why I get one quick vibrate, then 5-10 sec later two quick vibrates and then the phone reboots.
It's been driving me crazy. Ive factory wiped the phone twice, I only use apps from the app store, I've tried tracking my apps and installing / removing app after app, and can't seem to figure out a pattern.
Now that we're discussing the SD card I think this may actually be the cause. I do think my music app (rocket player , but also happened with monkeymedi) was running and I have the photo album widget running at same time when the reboots occur.
Again this is very had to figure out. From what I can tell there is no crash reporter for Android like there is for iPhone (which is unbelievable).
Please keep this thread going. I think we're on to something.

Hi guys.
I had the same problem and i try all ways (factory reset, Wipe, Flash different Kernels and...) but my phone (Note3 N9005) reboot randomly.
I saw a video in YouTube and he solved this problem by installing a simple app (Wake Lock). I tried this way and my problem completely solved.

How to fix Random reboots on Android
TWICE. This is because I've disabled some apps (Hangout, Google Play Music, Google Play Books etc.) from Google Play. It causes my phone stuck at MI Logo and the powered by Android screen. If I enter recovery mode it shows a MI phone and a USB cable. At first I thought was wrong update package or what but it seems not. I didn't download the update package from anywhere else. It's the official update. And I saw someone saying if you disabled any apps then your phone can't boot in MIUI8. But seems MI never mention this problem. Well played Xiaomi.
yes, same thing happens to me too, disabling some google apps will cause bootloop

Do not disable any Google App. Ever. On the stock ROM. If you do so, you'll be stuck in a bootloop.
I guess, you did not make a backup before you disabled the apps (e.g. with TWRP | backup)?
If you did't - you can unbootloop by flashing the MIUI Global stable ROM again (all data on phone will be erased).
Uhm... by the way - here - is a list of apps that can be disabled

They do informed at MIUI Forum but I think they should state it together with the update package

Unfortunately I don't even unlock my bootloader at the moment so I don't have any recovery for my device

Now I have TWRP on my phone so I don't care anymore
for the longest time on my OnePlus 5, i refused to root...finally gave in and installed magisk tonight. everything seems to be working, except that when i try to install or update anything via the play store it takes FOREVER. it either gets stuck on "downloading" before actually doing anything, or downloads the entire app/update and then sits there for a few minutes before actually installing it.
I also have the location icon flashing repeatedly on the status bar. never seen that before.
it was working before installing magisk, that was the only change. any ideas?
edit: example, trying to install turo gets to 60% and stops every single time. download status icon disappears from the statusbar and the download completely stops at 60% (same exact number) every time.

Try using the magisk systemless gapps
Is it the beta or the stable Magisk? I've been using Magisk on this device since day one and never had any issues.
