Just noticed a couple eBay listing for this phone already is it shipping already?
Hot dang. The highest I saw was $2,699.00 for the phone with 5 people watching it.
Yah saw that too the sellers seem to have it in Stock, as apposed to preselling it.
hope they don't delay the release. From what it looks, the bezel less display will be pretty common by last quarter this year.
The phones on eBay are pre-sale. Look at the fine print. Anyone that says they have one is a scammer.
The reservation list hasn't even been upgraded to a order list.
Don't., don't, don't believe the hype!

I wrote to the seller(s) reminding them of the eBay rules and they revised the ads... but not before someone had already bought at least one.
That was good of you, sucks for the guy who purchased though

Well, all the purchaser had to do was to contact the seller and ask if it was in hand before buying. Takes two to tango.
Every day that passes without getting my invoice is driving me a little more crazy... I mean I really like my Pixel XL, but I have Essential Lust... :silly:

I ordered an EVO View 4G from DailySteals during the liquidation sale and got an empty box. I emailed them and got no response and their phone number directs you to email them.
I just won my PayPal dispute but wanted to warn others about their practices to help someone else avoid my troubles. Now off to scour eBay for a View close to what I got back from them.
I ordered a NEW Nexus S from them. Came out just what I expected. Even the factory screen protectors were there. IMHO DailySteals is a legitimate site which sells items at huge discounts. Hopefully it works out for you because I had luck with them in the past. Oh and when I emailed them when it would ship they replied 24 hours later saying it just shipped.

Well I am glad it worked out for you but a lot of reviews state the site is bad news, I didn't find them until I started having problems with them. Maybe it was a mistake but the fact they ignored countless emails day after day just seems wrong to me.

Yeah if I was in your same situation I would of acted the same way. When I looked at the reviews when I was thinking about buying the Nexus S, all the reviews were good except for the fact that shipping was slow. GL.
yea i ordered nexus s and it was legit. Maybe they did a mistake or something.
I believe that Dailysteals acts as a middle man or liquidation service...
I have ordered from them and got the item in 3 days, and I have ordered from them and it took 14 days.
I order items from them all the time, and their affiliate icemonkey, never an issue. Most things take a while to get here.
Haven't had an issue. Support is slow, shipping is slow, but my package arrived in condition as described.

I ordered the htc view on the 16th and mine still has not shipped. Am calling my credit card company by friday if i dont get legit tracking.
They no longer reply to emails phone or chat.
But they sure as hell are still selling items everyday.
They are scammers.
What they do is committ to sell and ship items without knowing how many theybcan even get. Then when they cant get enough they wont tell you in hopes that you just go away and only respond once you file a claim.

That's pretty absurd to be honest. What seems far more likely and logical is that they deal with a 3rd party supplier. There have been cases where they over sold an item, but I've never heard of someone not getting their money back.
And do you people think you are the only ones who buy from them? They sell HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of items a day for suppliers who are likely over seas. This kind of activity takes TIME and PEOPLE and most of that is likely out-sourced... guess where... over seas!
Also remember, you don't get tracking till it's in the country. Only super expensive 3rd party shipping get tracked from over seas.
It's like Wal-Mart. I hate that place because there are a million people there at all hours of the day and most of them are pieces of garbage in one form or another. That's my opinion, I'm entitled to it. Know what I do though? I DONT GO TO WALMART.
If you don't like how a business who is obviously successful handles it's business... DONT USE THEM. Complaining and shouting absurdities is not going to get you far.

your rant would be valid if they stated their shipping and handling times. i haven't gone to their web-site, but i'm sure they don't state it's gonna take forever (i.e. more than 1 week) to ship.

Any body tried this website cell2getdotcom. Gnote over there is 620usd plus free shipping and i have found a 25usd coupon as well. When i applied the coupon it was redeemed successfully, but i didnt go on with completing the order. Anybody ever bought anything from them.
I will call them in the morning to find out if they have any retail location. Google customer reviews are good and one customer was referring to a retail location in newyork.
Damn that's a good price. Lowest on Amazon is $699 right now. Tempted to pull trigger on this but still hesitant after returning my first gnote for screen issues. Let us know if you talk to them tomorrow...

the review is somewhat mixed for the site :x but ppl do get the phone they ordered. some come in perfect, some are locked, some are refurbished etc... so it's a gamble i guess. But since the note is still quiet new now, chance for a refurbished phone is pretty rare i suppose.

Definitely post back, please. I'd do a pickup too. But from their online rep, I'd wouldn't be surprised by bait 'n switch tactics. Most of the "good" comments are obviously manufactured - eg
Nice company to do business with. I don’t do reviews too often but felt compelled to share my overwhelmingly positive experiences so far these past four purchases. I just want to let everyone know that if you like shopping the old-fashioned way, then this is the way to go, with these folks!

Be careful!
I don't like the website it seems like they have everything.
Be very cautious of NYC based electronics websites. Unless it's a B&H Photo or other recognized business.
PATIENCE is the key. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain by waiting awhile.
Prices will go down, Development will be more matured, Many more used devices to chose from. Maybe something new comes out that's better. I have never been an early adopter. I respect those who are and love being the first on the block. I have saved hundreds and had far less headache waiting a while. Just bought the wife's SGS II used for $400 with a lot of accessories chargers and batteries, I bought mine used, Warranty new was not an option in the US anyway, May as well buy from someone who made it work for them.
Probably buy a used Note as well.. in a few months or when I see used prices below $500.
I ordered through cell2get, after reading reviews I was nervous. Online it says nothing about being out of stock but after making the charge and ordering it I received an email thanking me for my order. About 2 hours later i received another email stating they were out of stock. The money is still "pending" and I have not been refunded yet.
Edit: After 5 days my money has been refunded to my account.
"Cell2Get is one of the Nation’s largest cell phone retailers and is generally regarded as offering the best contract-free phone deals on the web"
Orrrrr, they could be a crappy fly by night store in Brooklyn that I've never even heard of (I'm from the area). That quote was from their "about" page. Dishonest on the page, dishonest to the customer's face.
Yep, i was on the verge of placing my order until i read the reviews and changed my mind.
Got it on craigslist factory sealed last week for 670 cash. Probably the cheapest you can find
And don't forget to send the link to the cell2get price to convince the craigslist seller to drop the asking price Works like a charm
Or use that link for anyone who promises price matches.
All sold out now
I knew it would get discounted, but not this fast or by this much so soon.
USED VERY GOOD @ $425
USED LIKE NEW @ $450
BRAND NEW @ $500
If you really want one you can check back as they get more returns and people cancel orders they will put more back.

It's going to be pretty hard to knock off my OnePlus 3t. I have it pretty dialed in and it's the fastest most energy efficient phone I've had by far. Same setup on my Nexus 6P and Note 5 have always got me an average SOT of 6-8. I thought that was really good...OnePlus averages 12 and Ive never seen it average under 10. I have hit 14 before a few times over a few loonngg boring 3 day weekends.
No mate 9 for me. My gut was right. The guy was a scam and swappa was extremely unhelpful. Took them forever to shut the guy down no matter how much evidence they had he was a scammer! Anyone know anyone who wants to do a story about how shady swappa is? I have so many screenshots and messages and saved web pages before they erased my messages. First and last time using swappa for sure

So the wrong phone arrived today it's the white one not the black one I ordered. Swappa wasted my time to verify everything with the numbers I provided. The help they gave me at the end was exactly the same as earlier. Contact PayPal! Thank you swappa what a great business. It shows me they are amateur and have no power to help anyone at all in any way other than tell people to contact PayPal. The last thing I want is a white phone OR to try and deal with PayPal again after the last 3 days of dealing with this.

That's extremely crappy. Swappa made a HUGE deal about me refunding the buyer of my old Note 7 despite the fact that he could have just swapped it out or tried to get a refund himself. They really need to get their act together and treat all cases the same. They should be the ones trying to make the seller do the right thing here...

Inferior is subjective. Look at your convenient situation though of having another phone.

The only way to tell is by getting a refurbished one directly from Google.

Importance is subjective, as well, but considering not getting expedited shipping is probably not actually affecting your business I'd say the importance should objectively be somewhat low.
Also, if this is a work phone and you're trying to get it today, there are literally stores everywhere that could sell it to you, in person. Aside from a locked bootloader, they're the exact same phone.
This is all irrelevant, because we know nothing about what (s)he was talking about, above. He very-well could have been trying to get Google to give him *free* expedited shipping for some reason, in which case none of this matters. I highly doubt he was just ordering a new phone and they were refusing to let him buy expedited shipping.

You lost me at there literally being stores everywhere that have the phone. Given the time I posted my response people were still waiting on shipments. Yeah I've been jumping around also. Waiting on the new PN. Kind of bummed Samsung caught on and killed Samsung pay on rooted non Sammy devices pair to the S3.
Not sure if this is a good or bad thing but I saw this earlier:
http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/samsung-galaxy-s8-pre-orders-hit-550000-in-two-days
I'm going to start calling BS on this article and others like it. All the stories I've read so far have been quoting "numbers" but all of their sources are directly from Samsung (press releases?). There's very little they offer in terms of third-party accounting of how many devices have been sold. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but this just sounds much too much like the tech press fawning all over itself to report publicity numbers and never verify anything.
If Theranos wasn't proof enough that the tech press doesn't seem to mind quoting nothing more than press releases and fawning over the CEOs with absolutely no proof of the actual story, then unless they can provide actual corroboration from third-part of carrier sales, this isn't real.
When I placed my order the rep on the phone told me she'd had very few orders for the device.

They (Samsung) could be seeding the story with false numbers just to make sales jump. If you imagine a thing is in demand, you may well go and buy that said thing because you see it as a thing others want.
It's a thing.
What concerns me about this is, if i recall correctly, the fine print on the free Gear VR with preorder said that there was a limit of 350k units for the promotion.
Here in Australia pre-orders have outsold the supply of Gear VR but Samsung is honouring the deal but is advising that there is a 3 to 4 week delay on the bonus item. I work for a retailer here and its so far been the largest phone pre-order in our history. Samsung isnt making it up.

I saw the same and it concerned me. Surely there are more than 350k pre-orders in the US, let alone people without a pre-order who try to buy a device day one. There will be a lot of phones getting into people's hands next week, how long before that 350k units is gone?
I ended up swithcing my pre-order to Samsung.com. Automatic enrollment, and the stuff ships with the phone instead of waiting. No risk of not getting it.
