Let discuss regarding SM-N9208 Note 5 DUOS.
It seem like ONLY this variant of Note 5 still not receive Marshmallow update.
I dont know the future of this variant.

If not mistaken, Indian Duos already got the MM update.

Really. Damn it samsung. Even carrier variant already receive MM update. Before this, carrier device is the last device receive an update.

No, dont try else you will loose all data in internal storage. Every variant has different bootloader modem and kernel
thats why i hate them for releasing a duos device for malaysia reagion... mostly all note duos device being forgotten completely last time...

I am waiting for a MM update too. But to be honest I already thought about those problematics when choosing a device that is not sold in Europe (and btw I an from Austria) AND a dual Sim variant.
Nevertheless that's no excuse for Samsung.
I hope they will carry on... I really like this device and want to keep it for a while.

S5 already got the update even the hardware already 2years old.
It is good still maintain the old flagship, but they have to remember thay have a latest power flagship that have to maintain.

Actually the manual was posted on their site for quiet a while.
Hlo im new in galaxy s5 nd i need help bcoz i heard that before flashing any rom we have to flash bootloader nd modem through odin..soo plz guys suggest me some safe steps before installing any rom...im in stock 6.0.1..nd suggest me some roms with fingerprint support...thnx

if you are in lollipop and flash'll mm .... YES .... you got it to flash bl and modem

This device was not released with Marshmallow Firmware, so I would say no.
I could be wrong but downgrading is pretty much impossible with most Android phones.
