Hey all.
I can't seem to play games such as racing ones tgat require me to hold one button down and steer with the other. It's like my touch screen only liked to be pressed in one place and not the other at the same time.
Two places can be touched, as I can do pinch and I tried the multi touch tester app and it said I could do 5, but once the screen is on an angle, trying to hold at the left and right side of the screen just don't allow me to touch them together at the same time, making it impossible to controll anything in games.
Is this a grand prime hardware issue, or is their somewhere I can calibrate something?
I have the same problem when playing games like Marvel Future Fight or Modern Combat 5. It's a hardware issue. Grand prime has multitouch problems. Time for a new phone. This one is garbage.

One of the main reasons a friend of mine & I puchased the HTC PPC6800 from Alltel was that we intended on loading up Roms & Emulators from the original NES. However, while you can put an emulator onto the phone & run it, the QWERTY keyboard only allows you to push one keystroke at a time!! Anyone familiar with gaming, reguardless of the platform, can understand just how unplayable almost every game is without the ability to run & jump! You can run.. You can jump. You just can't do both simultaniously.
If there are any known fixes for this, please help.. I'm desperate. I'm guessing it's a software issue as there are already keys on the keyboard that support multi-button pushing such as the shift and function keys. I imagine there must be a work-around of some kind out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading!
Turn the 6800 on it's side(closed) like a psp and use the d-pad for direction and the e-mail and internet buttons for A and B. From what I understand those buttons don't suffer from the one keystroke limitation.
The only issue with that is the emulator, and subsequently every emulator I've tried after for NES doesn't support the sideways resolution for whatever reason. The loading screen for booting a rom with turn just like any other window would but the second the actual game loads it flips back up vertical. SNES emulators seem to handle the horizontal resolution just fine but the controller on the SNES had 6 buttons so mapping just 2 really doesn't cut it.
I currently try to play on the tiny little controls at the bottom and none of them seem to be effected by the two buttons at a time issue but the Ok button can't be mapped so playing around it is unbearable to the point of just not wanting to play. Not to mention it kills the WOW factor of showing someone when you have to play the game with a controller that's the size of a quarter.
Good call. I forgot to mention the landscape resolution thing. I ran into this thread shortly after reading yours. If you haven't seen it check this one out. I believe one or more of those emulators address the landscape abilities (MorphGear and SmartGear). Hope that helps.
The program is really slick for emulation, I'll give you that. lol. It's pay for use so I'm just messing with it in the 5 min demo mode but so far it looks like it'd definitely be worth buying.. I'm still however running into the multi-key issue on the QWERTY. NES is fine without using the QWERTY as it only requires an A & B button but the SNES had 6 buttons that need to be mapped and getting them all in an accessable spot on the face of the unit just isn't happening.
Has anyone heard anything about a possible fix for this?
Hello folks,
does anybody know how to activate the 4 finger touch for our defy like on the droid and milestone? The defy is supporting this i think because the panels are similar to droid and co. Allready ive changed the multitouch value on build.prop with no affects. Thank you guys

Nobody here who have a solution for this ?
no idea...
Call me stupid..
But, what on earth are you doing with 4 fingers on the screen at once
Just off the top of my head it can be used for running emulators. The other day I was trying to play super mario all stars (SMB3) and couldn't run and then jump while holding the sprint button because I was already holding the control pad to move, the sprint button to gain speed to fly. The jump button wouldn't register.
I hadn't given that any thought.
My biggest thought was just trying to imagine what kind of gestures someone would be making with 4 fingers on a screen.
This is very odd behavour and I'm wondering if it's the games themselves or not.
Dungeon Hunter 4: When in the World Map screen, a small area near the lower right corner of the screen is completely unresponsive and won't scroll the map around nor respond to any touch at all.
Ravensword 2 Shadowlands: This happens on and off but it also happens in the same area of the screen as the other game. The attack button stops responding sometimes. This one is harder to pin down because it doesn't happen all the time.
I installed a multi touch screen testing app and it shows all areas of the screen working fine though. Has anyone noticed similar behavior with either of these 2 games? I wish I had another N7 to install them on to test so I could determine whether it's the games themselves or whether my unit's touch sensors are funky in that spot with certain games.
I have the same issue with the lower right in GTA Vice City. I'll be driving and go to hit the break and nothing happens. Really annoying!
I discovered it was the games causing it, not the tablet's fault.

You may read my topic, my touch screen sometimes stops respondind too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44601701#post44601701
i think the problem not in games..
For now i have only 1 question: is it hardware or software problem...?
It's the tablet, not the games.
Swipes and taps sometimes do not register on Candy Crush Saga and Bingo Blitz. Returned mine for good until they sort this out.

I have searched around but have not been able to find a solution, I have a new (two days old) Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge +. I love the phone so far, Android 5.1.1 is great, I have always like the TW interface, but I have this one nagging issue, and believe it or not its a big problem. The phone works super in all aspects but with games. Which during my off time I love Tower Madness and Clash of Clans they are my go to solitaire games =) BUT...... The touch screen on this phone is so sensitive it has a hard time registering the difference between screen scrolling or tap to select. So if I go to tap a unit it scrolls the screen ever so lightly before I even tap, then moves the screen, then I have to tap ever so accurately and deliberate or hit it a million times to register I am tapping not scrolling.
This is the one area the phone is just so bad. I have actually tested this over and over and I can scroll the screen without physically touching it holding my finger just above it say 1/16th of an in or less and it will move with my finger like the hover option on my old Note and Note 2. I cannot for the life of me find any sensitivity setting and its a phone issue not an app issue, unless the app can make you scroll the hardware without touching it . The only setting I can find is the mouse/touchpad sensitivity setting which has no affect on this.
Has anyone else been able to fix this?

And I thought it was just me who's thinking that I could literally scroll and use the touch screen without touching it :silly: (may be from 1 mm distance). The effects are less after I've put on the Zagg screen protector, its really thick and rubbery ( with friction). I think they did it to make it work even with gloves on or something since I couldn't find any option to turn on/off the glove mode previously introduced. I also miss the air gesture features introduced with S4.
Yeah it's annoying being forced to have a glove mode at the sacrifice of running apps in the first place. One feature should not defeat the phones use like this.

Interesting, I have the opposite issue. The screen seems much less sensitive than my normal s6 edge.

Even I noticed it, but it's not as drastic as it's for you, so I guess I can live with it. Also at times when holding the phone in one hand it registers my finger from the sides and hinders my main input.

That was happening before. After the Spigen Case, no more...
Any luck?
I wondered if there were a resolution to this issue? I have a new Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and am having the same issue. I play DomiNations, and every tap pans the screen. It's maddening.
I wish, too, I could use the S Pen stylus, but I think that might be more of a game implementation issue than anything.
Open Phone Dialer.
Dial *#2663#
Press TSP FW Update (General)
This will update screen drivers to latest version - has totalloy cured my screen tap scrolling sensitivity issues.
Settings/accessibility/dexterity and interaction/tap and hold delay. Change the 0.5 to 1 sec. Looks like it helped my note edge. I hope it helped someone.
I'm also having the same issue. Every time I try to tap a button inside a game, it scrolls the window instead of activating the button. Of course this also happens when I tap and hold. The screen registers it as movement and tries to scroll instead of tap and hold.
Games like NOVA 3 and modern combat 5 works smooth and fine but after 30 minutes or 1 hour of play the touch stops to respond. I can only use one finger to move but can't use the second one to swipe camera. It's the same problem in every software I have used. I have recently installed the new PES game and I can't even shoot or move after some minutes of playing time. The touch becomes tilt. It's not my phone the issue because someone else also posted about the touch problem on the forum. This problem happens with games using two fingers like shooting, racing or football.
This is a cheap mobile phone. Samsung's quality control is lax
