Any way to switch carriers? - Verizon Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Any way to switch carriers?
I have a Verizon S5, bootloader unlocked and I am rooted.
I would like to switch to Sprint

I'm pretty sure you just need to change your SIM card to a sprint card.

No you can't, it says its locked to Verizon

Sim card unlocked permantely??

So wondering if its true to call in to do a sim unlock with tmobile then after flashing a rom would this be a permanent unlock for oother service providers or no? thoughts anyone??
Phones are SIM LOCKED to one specific carrier. Once you SIM unlock it, you can pop in any other carrier SIM card and it will work.
As far as permanent, from my understanding you should be able to flash your phone as much as you want, and it will remain SIM unlocked, but I've never done it personally, so I don't know.

[Q] Network locked sim card inserted

Hello, I recently purchased a supposedly unlocked note 3 N900W8 variant however when I put in my rogers sim card I get the message "Network Locked Sim Card Inserted" and it prompts me to enter a code. I read through a couple of threads and have some questions.
1. Some people fixed this by buying an unlock code but I don't see why I need to do this if my phone is already unlocked? Or is my phone not really unlocked
2. I saw the tool Region Away and was debating on whether to root my phone and try it but some people said that the phone will get messed up since the canadian variant is already region unlocked?
How can I use the phone with my sim?
Thanks for the help

[Q] sprint note3 on cricket gsm

I just got a Sprint galaxy note 3 and im trying to make it cricket with the new gsm network. I ordered a sim card and I attempted to do the sim unlock but it is not working. I rooted it and verified that it is rooted with an app to check it. I also installed super su like the directions said and also installed region lock away. I still cant get the phone to accept the sim. It says "invalid card". I checked the Stats on it and it show network unknow. It doesn't even show the phone number program onto the sim. When I take it out it switches back to sprint.
Sprint sim slot is only for lte on sprint in the us...
You need a gsm model such as att or unlocked t-mobile note 3!

Samsung s7 edge 935T t-mobile phone unlocked but at&t network or sim card issue?

I have an edge that is unlocked by tmobile.. in the app, permanent unlock (tmobile unlock app), it says.. "unlock failed" but below says permanently unlocked, unlock approved.. my understanding is this is a normal message.
When i went to the ATT store to test a sim.. they use their live sim, put it in, try to make a phone call but simply said it didnt work, isnt unlocked, which i dont think is right.. issue is i didnt see what if any error message there was.
Is there some step that the att rep should have done to get this on the att network besides putting it in the phone?
Thanks in advance for any info
edit: appears a special sim is needed, at least according to an online rep.. i was told to have them look up the IMEI with the MyCSP tool in the store to determine which sim.

How to unlock my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge?C

I just factory reset my phone after being in a bootloop, now it still is set to US cellular, how can I carrier unlock this phone? Can anyone help me with this?
I know that US Cellular is a CDMA network, as you can see hereMod Edit
I am not sure you can unlock it. Try inserting a GSM SIM card (AT&T, Metro or T-Mobile) and check the message you are prompted when trying to place a phone call.
