Hello,
I'm wondering - now that Wear 2.0 supports standalone apps, will connecting your watch to your smartphone via Bluetooth cause carriers to register that you are tethering a device via your smartphone ?
Reason I'm asking: T-Mobile blocked my LTE data right after I tried to open Play Store on my watch (LG G Style connected to smartphone via Bluetooth, LTE-only data on smartphone). It might just be a coincidence or some settings getting messed up, I'm curious if anyone knows more.
Thanks!

In Xiaomi Redmi 1s & some other phones, i've seen an option in settings as USB internet which simply allows us to use the internet from PC on our phone via USB cable... I know it's possible doing reverse tethering on our phone using terminal emulator & scripts but it's a tedious process. Can anyone make an app or make a setting in our phone to do reverse tethering easy as on above mentioned phones? (i don't have wifi access & 3g costs like hell for unlimited usage here :crying

You can also buy Leoxsys 150 Mbps Nano WiFi USB Wireless Adaptor (LEO-NANO150N), there seem to be many varieties available, be sure to buy the one that has WiFi with Hotspot.
This micro device plugs into the USB port of your PC and transmits your PC internet into WIFI, which you can latch on to using your handset.
It is cheap, have been using this for more than a year. I dont have a router, this works better than a router, though the range is less.
click on thanks if I have helped.

The link provided by u have been already tested successfully by me, but it's kinda tedious process everytime u need to connect... I'm looking for an easy solution for USB reverse tethering, which needs no additional gadgets...
Hello everyone!
So where I am living I cannot get reliable internet service and currently have Hughesnet (satellite isp) that I want to stray from. I have picked up a prepaid true unlimited data plan from Metropcs and want to use it as my default isp as the speeds are astronomical compared to Hughesnet. They are of course limited in usage for tethering and I would have to use a masking application and have chosen Clockworkmod Tether. What I want to do is run a USB dongle to my router (ASUS RT-N56U), connected to my phone (SAMSUNG-SM-G900A), running Android 5.0 with Clockworkmod Tether. Is this possible to do as the router doesn't have a sister application with the phone i.e Pdanet+ needs a windows application running to work?
All feedback is welcome!
So I found a video that kind of explains how to do so but I still have questions. With the process he is demonstrating the phone is using the wifi hotspot option to broadcast signal to the router. My question is.. with all the tether masking apps (PDAnet, FoxFi, Clockwork) you need to connect via USB to work. How would I get around this?

Hi, I would like to use my S8 to livestream my gopro (with a self made app based on FFmpeg), for that I need to be connected to the GoPro stream via WiFi and I need to use my cellular data (LTE) to send it to a streaming server.
In my test I noticed this phone is unable to keep both connection open at the same time, it was not the case on my previous LG G4, I was also able to test on a nexus 5X where it worked successfully, so I blame the samsung software (PS: I just did an update, didn't change anything).
I tried every options (and combination possible), keep cell data, agressive wifi/cell, both in dev' settings, also smart wifi (agressive or not) in regular settings... And it didn't change anything (the smart thing only either fully disable the wifi connection to local only wifi or connects fully to it and awaits internet connection).
I found this thread on samsung forum https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...internet-while-connected-to-GoPro/td-p/185875 with no answer...
Do you guys have any solution?
Quick edit: I did try to use "Download booster" thing but it doesn't help, it seems the phone is still using the wifi for DNS, I tried with and without smart switch thing... They really didn't think about people using WiFi without internet connection voluntary??
Thanks
same problem here, i don' t know how to fix it. you can share your code? with other guys we are trying to do a solution to live stream gopro on android , if you want i'll link it to you
It cannot be done as we cannot change our IP, Default Gateway, or Subnet on our WiFi.
With iOS you can, thus why iOS users can use the GoPro and LTE simultaneously.
Enjoy.
Hi all,
My work (supermarket) seems to block/disconnect my LG watch style's wifi from the work free WIFI,
the WIFI works fine on my phone just blocking a few sites eg. Betting sites.
But for my notifications to my watch, I need WIFI connected to my watch and my work seem to have blocked smartwatches from connecting to the WIFI. I've tried pushing some VPN's to the watch with ADB, but most crash or unable to log in due to not being able to move on the login screen.
Is there anything I can do to make my watch connect to the work WIFI? as I'm not allowed my phone in my pocket while I'm working and it's too far away in my locker when I am working for phone > watch connection.
Regards,
stalli0n
Was thinking, I could change the build.prop info (to make it not look like a smartwatch), but that would require Root on my watch.
