Hi
Anyone has tried and install the fmradio.apk ? Does U Ultra has hardware FM Radio which is disabled in stock rom ?
Thanks

Can confirm that the U Ultra does not have a FM Receiver and neither does the standard earphones.
I'm running LeeDroid on my Ultra and FM Radio app just sits on Starting FM.

Hello everyone, I have a problem that surely you have seen them all.
The FM radio of our Galaxy's has no equalizer
and you can adjust the frequency
I would like this thread can be used to solve and improve the sound quality of FM radio
perhaps by increasing the low frequencies that are missing.
Have you made any changes?
I installed but does not work with DSP 2.2 Froyo Journal
I installed Audio boster and works well on everything except the fm radio
Any solution?
Thanks in advance
FM radio? I have a Vibrant and it doesn't have FM RADIO! Does it?

You have a I9000, right? You should head over to their forums and download Voodoo Sound. Install that and it should help with your problem.

Does someone can ear FM Radio on the HTC HD2 (with headset connected). The frequence is always bloqued at 87.5 Mhz, no way to search a radio or to change the frequence.
If someone knows a good .apk for FM Radio, I want it
I'm using RafDroid 4.2.0 Ext (Nand v2.2.1)
Thank you...

Try Spirit FM Radio. You can find this by searching the forum or market.

Thank you, but same problem with this software : BroadCom chip found, but no FM feature started
Perhaps the wrong hardware driver
you gotta use htc oem headphones for it to work. i ordered a pair and the radio started working. 4.99 on ebay
I found myself the solution , the only way for me to have FM Radio : switch on BlueTooth before starting the FM Radio program... It's on the same Chip !
Have a nice day
I'm a bit late to this thread, but...

I'm surprised about that. Other 4 contact jack headphones won't work ?
Which "Audio Method" are you using ?

I believe this is a Broadcom based device, so my "UART Mode" should work if Bluetooth is off, and if my app has access to SU/root. But the app needs the Bluetooth UART device to be one of the following (unless you configure a custom setting):
"/dev/s3c2410_serial0",
"/dev/ttyHS0",
"/dev/ttyHS1",
Thanks !
MOD EDIT: Please post in right section
Hi all, does the US version of Xperia X Compact have FM radio ? I would like to use the native FM radio without any apps/data.
Do we need any special firmware/rooting/apps to enable the FM radio (like we had to to enable the fingerprint sensor in the US version) ?

Yes. It has the station selection app built into the phone. Works without data or wifi. You do have to have something plugged into the headphone jack to work as an antenna though. Headphones, speaker, etc.
P.S. Side note I did flash the to the UK firmware, but I am pretty sure even before I did the radio was always there. May want to double check though just to be sure on the U.S. version.

Thanks Halftrack. This is perfect, with the fingerprint sensor enabled through a hack on the US version and FM radio available, the XC will definitely be my next phone.
Can anyone please share the FM Radio App for custom Android Pie ROMS? I mean an FM app capable of receiving over the air radio frequencies not a music streaming app.
There is one for custom OREO ROMS at the link below, but it does not work:

Thanks in advance.
Pixel experience OREO can even use the FM radio without headphones

Yep. I wish someone would port the app for PIE.
