Build.prop and XML for working cast screen/Miracast? - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am looking for a build.prop and XML for the XT907 from someone who has Miracast/Wireless Display/etc working. I've tried to edit both and have had zero success. Anyone who might be able to help with that or help in editing one or the other, please do chime in. I've spent almost 2 months working on this and I would rather not have my work be all for nothing.
Here is a link to the thread where I'm posting updates.

Need help to add % on services.jar

guys , is there anyone who can help me and write a guide or point me to one on how to add the % overlay for the battery? Cant find what damn smali file to edit.
Piter1225 posted this on a MoDaCo thread:
http://android.modaco.com/content-p...your-homescreen-usable-and-eye-candy/page/40/
In services.jar edit IconData.smali, StatusBarIcon.smali, StatusBarPolicy.smali
The best way is to find two services.jar from same ROM - one with, and one without percentage batt and compare them.
Good apps for comparing two files are in my opinion: ExamDiff for Windows and xxdiff for Linux

BTW, if you are making one for the latest FroYo leak, can you please share it?
thanks a lot. Apparently LSteam already did the editing of the services.jar so he saved me a lot of work. you should probably try pushing his services.jar. it might add the % overlay.
nevermind what i said. He went the easy way and did the changes on the framework. I guess ill have to do the whole editing thing.

Need help signing apks

I've been trying to make a new status bar and replacing files in the framework Res.
The only issue I have is signing the apk when I am done replacing all the icons.
I am using a Mac.
I have tried searching but with no luck.
Does anyone use a Mac to sign apks?
If so, can someone instruct me on how to do it?
Thanks in advance for the help.

[Q] .xml files

Ok I'm posting this in hope that a developer will answer.
I have been trying to edit .xml files on the droid x. I'm running linux (who runs windows anyway) I have experience in c++ and scripting , but non in themeing.
I have download a bunch of xml file editors. The problem is that every time I open one with the editor I get a error saying " coding not supported ". What ia the deal here and why? Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas why?
Thank you xda
The .xml files need to be decompiled first. Otherwise, they are unreadable. The only way I know off is to decompile the entire apk file with apk manager or aapt.
Note that you have to recompile the apk (xml) before putting it back on your phone.

Thank you makes sense.

Still working with this myself. You need to look on google code for smali/baksmaling, as this is what is used to compress/decompress the xml files.
Thank you systemadmin that's what I thought I had to do, decompile the. Xml file ,but just didn't now how thank you for your reply.
No worries. I have been working on trying to theme and what not myself, and it seems pretty complex at the beginning. Im trying to get some tips from like bignadad, acidbath, and some of the other big developers out here, but they are usually pretty busy and I haven't had much luck. If you start making some progress, send me a PM and share the love =)

build.prop and gaming question

I've read in another thread that if you edit your sgs2 system/build.prop, you can play sgs1 games. I already know how to access the file. I tried downloading some games' apk and then the sd files and positioning them on the right folders. After I changed the name, etc... on build.props to i9000 from i9100 (there are 4 changes in total), it still doesn't work. I would appreciate any help and/or direction to the right way of doing this. thnx

Already did, thanks.

Does anyone have a stock marshmallow build.prop?

I believe I have messed up something within my build.prop file but am unsure what it is. Would someone be so kind as to paste their unmodified build.prop file? If that is not possible, I'd take a limited modified version as well
Thanks for any help someone is able to offer
I was able to pull some from the many roms that have been posted here and use those.
Thank you to anyone considering responding
