1. enable developer option

3. get unlock code from motorola website
4. unlock via fastboot
Sorry, misread. I think you want to unlock BL.
Did you read XDA rules...? Did you search...?
There is already a thread for ReLock issue..
As you will read,
You can't downgrade bootloader if once updated...
Don't Mess with bootloader unless want a brick....
According to my views, there are no benefits for ReLocking unless want to sell phone and make buyer fool... LoL...
So I unlocked the bootloader through Moto's site. Now I want to relock the bootloader. I went through Moto's instructions and flashed the files for the X1625, however when I go to fastboot oem lock, it just says flash valid android system. It will boot up and run correctly, but it still gives the warning message and will not go back to "locked" status.
Thanks for any help
Hi, few days ago I tried to install a rom stock on my moto g5 plus, but i didn´t unlock the bootloader from the system (debugging usb, oem unlock), now my phone is bricked and only enters on fastboot mode, how can I unlock the bootloader? Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Unfortunately, if you cannot boot into the operating system to enable "OEM Unlocking" in Developer Options, it is not possible to unlock the bootloader. Period... There is no way around it, and since you have been issued an unlock code your warranty is void (it doesn't matter if you actually unlock or not, your warranty is voided by the code being issued successfully).
With the bootloader being locked, downgrading is not possible, and since we don't have the latest factory firmware image your only options are to wait for it to become available and then flash it.
If look at the output of "fastboot getvar all" you should be able to see what version you have installed now. You need a full factory image that is the same or a higher version for the exact same variant you have, otherwise you just have a brick... Moto won't even lock at it, even if you pay for it.
I recently saw that OEM unlocking toggle is working. I unlocked my bootloader long ago. I'm on stock Oreo right now and I didn't "RELOCK THE BOOTLOADER" but it shows to me as if it was relocked. Is it possible? I already have magisk installed. Dunno what to do. Any suggestions?
The OEM unlock toggle in Developer Settings means nothing once you have unlocked the bootloader. Make sure it is enabled and check the bootloader manually... To my knowledge it is impossible to relock the bootloader without a signed image.
Hi guys, I want to re-lock the bootloader of my Huawei P Smart FIG LX1 unlocked with PotatoNV. When I try to do the operation with adb "fastboot oem relock (or lock) 1111111111111111" I get this error message "failed: remote stat not match". But by entering the command "fastboot oem unlock 1111111111111111" the procedure is successful.
I also tried to install a stock rom but the bootloader remains unlocked. Thank you all!
Try to restore with stock recovery, it should relock it
