Hi everyone !
I'm actually working in an IT centre (Don't know how to call that, or to traduce to you), and I just got a customer who handed me a Samsung SM-T580 tablet who is FRP locked... I've been searching since 3 days now, trying various methods, even trying a downgrade to other versions, but no luck. I've searched on XDA to see if anyone has got the same problem, but everyone has a different build number, as mine is T580XXU2AQA2. I've seen that if the 3 finals letters/number are PG1, I'm in luck, but if they're PL4, I'm unlucky. But what about QA2 ? And what about the FRP Lock on this build ?
Thanks for help, as I begin to lose hope...

Before attempting to flash ANY ROM on a T580, you have to enable "OEM unlock" in the /Setup/Developer options. If you don't, the way to unbrick the tablet is by using the Samsung Smart Switch app via a PC.

I can't do anything as I had the tablet already locked :/ I can just access the recovery and the download mode (As well as the normal boot, but it is pointless here).
I already flashed a stock ROM via Odin, and it worked fine as it was the same version in the tablet

This one works with the latest build from PL4 to QC2 ( P= 2016, Q= 2017 ) , Android 6 ; not work with Android 7
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xo9uJDDuSxw
Try it, if you can get the Assist then it will work as you can open Chrome to download Google Account Manager to add you own Google account and do the factory reset or just keep it as you are the owner now, taking full control of the tablet.

If you can go to Setting and enable the OEM Unlock, you're not FRP lock and in owner account.
FRP ( Factory Reset Protection ) is a secured method from Google prevents anyone to continue in the settings without passing the verified account steps.
Without the previous synced account ID and password, it will keep you in a loop in the setting steps.

Obviously it is to late for the OP to change to "OEM enable" setting. I was merely pointing out the cause of the problem. But it also seemed apparent that the Google account settings are unknown.
I bought a tablet on eBay that had this problem and was able to get it working using Samsung Smart Switch run from a PC connected to the tablet in the download mode.

The latest build QC2 from US can bypass easily by Google Account Manager app, I believe it will work with your build.

You see this message because you're still at first page of sign in. Reset it: Power + Volume Up + Home you should get to the Recovery and do a Factory Data Reset.
If you already have original owner information, you shouldn't have any problem of setting the tablet at the step of verifying google account.
I have done FRP bypass on the SM-T580 at least 10 tablets a day, so I can say FRP of Google is a joke. I have to deal with FRP lock everyday and I only need 10 minutes to bypass it.
[EDIT] Damned font I misread FRP for FAP
Posted elsewhere, but as I'm getting rather anxious and as I'm waiting for DBT-T580XXU2BQE4-20170525170357.zip to download... I ended up with a FAP lock. I can't find out if there's any difference from FRP lock - is there any?
Also, about Smart Switch, do the instructions from https://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34745 apply? Smart Switch tells me that the device is unsupported and I don't get the Device Initialization tab!
Thanks!
[EDIT2] FW downloaded. Tried to use Odin, but there are four options: BL/AP/CP/CSC. Yet the FW package has these entries:
AP_T580XXU2BQE4_CL11316739_QB13491827_REV00_user_low_ship_meta.tar.md5
BL_T580XXU2BQE4_CL11316739_QB13491827_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CSC_OXA_T580OXA2BQE4_CL11316739_QB13491827_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
HOME_CSC_OXA_T580OXA2BQE4_CL11316739_QB13491827_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
So which one is CP?
You only need to load BL, AP, and CSC, ignore the HOME_CSC, but it seems you're flashing the Android 7 build from Germany which no method works.
You need to downgrade to Android 6, region doesn't matter for the purpose of bypass FRP. When it's done, flash back to your original region in Android 7.
Cellular South PL4 is the build you can downgrade and bypass FRP.

First of all, thank you for your reply indeed.
Yes, I guess it was from Germany since German was its language when it first booted and it was 7.0.
So I'm downloading XAR-T580UEU2APL4-20170407113933.zip (Cellular South PL4) and flashing it with Odin, but once it's done, how do I flash 7 again? Use Odin with the initial BL/AP/CSC that I got?
Again, thank you!
[EDIT] Oh yeah, 6.0 flashed successfully and I'm off FRP lock!!!! Thanks so much... Now I guess I turn on OEM enable in Dev options and flash BL/AP/CSC in Odin?
No need to flash back if you want to keep current US build if it has your prefer language.
However, it's now US tablet, it only update the latest one from US build.
No need to turn on OEM unlock if you know your own Google ID and password.
If you like, flash the Europe build as it has more languages than US one, the same way as you downgrade firmware: load BL, AP, and CSC to Odin.
You're right. I was asking because I thought I'd have lost OTA, which was not the case - device updated OTA to 7.0 so I then proceeded and rooted it again. *Now* OTA is dead, but I'm good.
I was thinking, probably, than on Samsung devices tripping Knox would disable OTA.
Thanks for your reply once more
Tripping Knox doesn’t disable OTA but if the status of firmware is Custom, you won’t be able to update software. I have some tablets which have Knox count more than 1, they update normally because I run stock firmware

Yup! I'm learning by doing
I guess that having an official FW but custom recovery equals to Custom, correct? Which means if I reflash original OTA will be back?
In the setting, About Tablet, Status, if the device status is Official, you have no problem of update via OTA.
Or in Download Mode, if the System Status is Official. I believe your system is Custom if having custom recovery.
Rooted device will become Official if you flash back the stock firmware , however the Knox counting is not rolling back to zero.
Yup, I did know about Knox (that would defeat the purpose, right? ).
If I'm not mistaken flashing original FW will erase data, no? So I'll save it for when there's a decent Oreo ROM out there. Then again, it won't be Original even then so I guess I'm off that road, but I don't think Samsung will be releasing any new OTAs any time soon so there's no meaning in it, surely?

Hi guys
Today I bought an S8 from a friend and because they didn't clean the phone I decided to do a factory reset from the recovery like I used to do on my S6 all the time. This time I learnt about FRP.
Now I can't log into the device because the setup wizard says I have to log in with the previous google account first, and my friend doesn't have those details (older person).
So yeah, I'm now stuck. I have the stock Pie ROM on there and the the stock recovery. Flashing anything other than the stock ROM through odin doesn't work due to the FRP.
In download mode it says:
KG State: Prenormal
FRP Lock: On
OEM Lock: On
Can anyone help me to make this brick a phone again?
Thank you

You're out of luck then. Sometimes we take a loss buying second hand phones. Guess you'll be more careful next time. Strange that the person you bought the phone from doesn't remember their email login. How do this person even use the services offered by Google one might wonder. Just ask for your money back, not your fault that your friend suffer from dementia :cyclops:
This is a grey matter on this site. It has been asked time and time again. The best you will get on xda is either use the search bar it the top of the screen or Google can be your friend. The answer is most definitely out there. and BTW the s6 had frp on it too. This isn't new any more. I can understand back way when frp came out on lollipop some didn't know. But that's been several years now

I apologize for my stupidity...
On a recent trip to China I recklessly purchased the used TAB A 10.1 model SM-P585Y.
The tablet worked perfectly, but when I came home I did a reset to clean it and once restarted the system remains with the FRP Lock.
The operating system is Oreo and I can't load any more twrp.
If I downgrade to Marshmallow, it doesn't reboot but only enters Factory Recovery mode...
In this mode, if I enable the Developer Option and then usb Debugging in the settings, there is no trace of the OEM unlock.
I can't load TWRP with odin nor with ADB (but maybe I don't do the correct procedure...)
If I do the update again at Oreo there is no recovery...
This is because when I flash Oreo with Chimera, the image file in the firmware is greater than the PIT, so I have to skip otherwise it stops.
When I start the system only arrives at the google account screen but I can't go any further, not even by opening a sort of chrome browser reduced by touching the google sign from one of the info screens that I can access from the keyboard settings.
Can someone please help me?

Any chance of turning off FRP through the Google account of whoever's account was on the tablet once you had it? I thought you could disable that by logging into Google with that account and turning it off via the web.
Then again, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, others probably know much better.
Good luck!

So long story short I was intoxicated and for some reason disabled OEM in debugging then sometime later I restarted my tablet to get the frp binary locked. It has a custom rom with twrp I absolutely need the data off of this tablet and the only way I see is to reinstall the default os through Odin but that wipes the device I need a method to get the data off of the tablet or a method to bypass frp entirely it would be mighty appreciated if I could have some help
Why don't you try a backup in TWRP?
Reinstalling the stock firmware with Odin won't wipe the device.

It's difficult to say if you can keep your data. The binary FRP lock is quite different that the average FRP lock that's associated with the Google sign in. Usually whenever you trip the binary lock it's because some firmware was installed such as a Root or a ROM that was flawed or invalid. It's an overstacking of binaries and therefore you get a "Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock" notification. I've had this problem on another varient of the Tab A, the Galaxy Tab A6 SM-T580. I have found about four diferent variations of this. You may not have turned off OEM because in Binary lock it will act like you have. Possible reason to think that is the way it acts in Download Mode where you can't seem to flash anything especially the official firmware. Sound familiar?
Version 1. If you try to go to Recovery you get redirected to a screen similar to the Download Mode. In the upper left are red lettered "Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock.. Download Mode is accessable but won't initialize when trying to flash stock firmware. Binary 4 FRP Unlock file was accepted and flashed in by Odin3. Stock firmware installs afterwards.
Version 2. Device is stuck in bootloop. "Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock" appears on Logo screen. Recovery and Download Modes are so far, useless. Binary 4 FRP Unlock used, no positive results. Binary U 4 used. Positive result. Stock firmware flashed in afterwards.
Version 3. "Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock" appears on Download Mode which either stalls right after or fails to initialize. Binary 4 FRP Unlock and Binary U 4 yeild no positive results. (This ones on it's way to me).
Version 4. "Custom Binaries Blocked by FRP Lock appears on Recovery Mode. Download Mode useless. I'm currently following this one.
Solution: I don't know if the one I have will work, they may be device specific. Research for a "SM-T280 Binary 4 FRP Unlock" which I couldn't yet find.

Nothing needs to be done except install the stock firmware.
The device hasn't been reset so no need for any kind of bypass.
FRP has kicked in purely because unsigned software is installed.
Replace the unsigned software with stock and it'll boot just fine. Data fully intact.

I hate to argue with you but that wasn't so easy with mine. While in Binary FRP lock I, along with a few others that have the SM-T580 or the SM-T585 couldn't use Download Mode to flash in the official stock firmware. Trial and error followed. The solve was first I had to flash in the Binary FRP Unlock and then I could flash in the firmware. With another device the owner tried the Binary Frp Unlock which didn't fix it. Later he flashed in the U4 Binary and that worked for him. I passed the info along to some others in the same predicament and it helped them. So I don't know what to tell you but what you're stating is not always applicable.

Trust me, I have 3 of these devices. I've bricked them, frp locked them every possible way during development for this device.
The T580 is a different device and may be more difficult to bypass if and only if FRP has kicked in because of a device reset.
However for EVERY Samsung device that has simply had non stock software installed the only fix that's required is to install the stock firmware.
This is the case on all the Samsung devices I own and I have quite a few from lollipop to Pie.

Wow, you're on a roll ain't ya? Hey ASHYX, dont misjudge me because of my stats you see here. Over a decade ago I was stacking ROMs into my HTC-G1. 3 decades ago I was an Electrical Engineer and Sonar Operator in the Navy. Let me tell you point blank, you're mistaken! Normally you would think you can just flash in stock OTA firmware into the device via Odin3 and you get to return to normal. Well that wasn't the solve for this. This was a new one to me also. If you think you're so right on what you say I'll be more than happy to point you in the direction of some XDA visitors, two of which are still Binary FRP locked. You can try telling them what you just told me and they'll probably call you a blooming idiot. No offense but you could try reading it properly which might help.
I said, [QOUTE] " While in Binary FRP lock I, along with a few others that have the SM-T580 or the SM-T585 couldn't use Download Mode to flash in the official stock firmware. [END QOUTE]
Take my word for it, the method you stated was already tried AND DID NOT WORK!
If you want to insist you're all that, here ya go, these people need your expertise in development

That depends on which stock firmware you're using. Typically what you get OTA (over the air) is the same as the 4File Official Stock Firmware. These are the 4 files that go into each section when using Odin3 to flash firmware. BL is for the Bootloader which controls security, start-up and recovery. AP is Android Partitioning, CP is Cellular Processor. Now let's talk about the CSC. file. The 4File contains two CSC files, one is listed as HOME CSC. If you flash the CSC file you will lose your App data. If you flash the HOME CSC you do not lose your App data.

Tab 5se Stock firmware
So I bought a 3rd 5se from a third party, all I checked for was for FRP lock, well it wasn't locked, but when I got it home and rebooted, it says is has a unlocked bootloader. So I hard factory reset it and now it states that only stock firmware can be installed in boot and won't go any further.
So I'm guessing I need to use ODIN to flash a factory ROM but I'm not sure which one as I can't seem to find a USA one on Sammoble, I do see a Canada one though.
Which version of ODIN should I use (WIN 10)
Which ROM, I'm in the USA, WIFI ONLY SM-T720, country code ?
Any other tips, as I haven't flashed anything in almost a decade probably.
Need to get this back to all stock, help
You want the XAR country code version which is the US rom. For Odin, use the newest version for our tablet. Good luck.

I use Frija instead of Sammobile to get the latest stock. Just use SM-T720 as the model and XAR as the CSC. If you search for how to unlock the bootloader, you can use the same proceedure to relock it. It should perform a factory reset as part of the process and you might not need to reflash a ROM.
Not sure..
Since the device won't turn off, restart nor go into download mode
Aqua blue sorta cyan screen. Top in red (like a terminal response) says," Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed (vbmeta)"
Then on main screen in center;
Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support

The only time a ran into a situation where I couldn't turn off that tablet, I just had to put it aside for a day or so till the battery ran down. Then use the method of holding both vol up and down, and NOT power, and then plugging in the cable from the PC. Must be from PC and not charger.

I ran into this recently when I went back to stock to get the fingerprint for Magisk Module and then went back to Lineage. You just need to Odin the factory firmware. The tablet will turn off, I think the key combination to force it off is power and volume down? Its been a few weeks, but I was able to get back into download mode. I found other threads for samsung phones that had this same issue and basically used them as rough guides.
As mentioned you just need to use XAR ROMs, your box should say XAR. I believe both Canada and Cellular South ROMs will come up as XAR roms IIRC?
Bruh. I had the same issue and you will not be able to flash your way around and FRP lock. I found a guy on eBay to remove the FRP lock and NOT through flashing. For $10 is was done in 10 minutes. I get if you want to figure it out. I'm a flasher and love to figure this **** out too but with a recent update Samsung blocks this. Trust me. Spend $10 and it's done. Also many people say they can do this on eBay. I only recommend this guy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273424666857. Just select a new auction of his and message him.

He said he checked to make sure this was not the FRP lock. Assuming this is the same message I got which says only official binaries can be flashed, please take this to a service center and it there maybe a cost involved (obviously I'm paraphrasing), you can fix it with Odin. I was on the latest firmware as well, as I updated fully to get the fingerprint for the MagiskHide module. This sounds like a different issue, to me.
I mean if that works it's $10 well spent I guess.
Oh my apologies as I misread his post. I just saw "FRP" and chimed in. Hope he gets it sorted out.

Almost !
Well, I finally reflashed the device with factory stuff, it's working fine now, no locks, except now it tells me the bootloader is unlocked on boot. I flashed it with Odin, no options, just loaded the 4 files and done.
How do I get this to STOCK, out of the box status. Steps ?
Hi!
I picked up a second hand Galaxy S8 (SM-G950UI 64GB) over the summer with plans to root it and install a custom ROM. I haven't activated it yet, but I was using it on my home WiFi and was notified that it downloaded an OTA update and it would be installed on the next boot. Since then I haven't touched it because I know that some updates can complicate or nullify the ability to root or install a custom bootloader, ROM, etc. I've done some searches on how to prevent the install, but haven't found anything except for how to disable your phone from downloading it to begin with. Now that the update is downloaded to my phone, is there a way to halt it's installation before I move forward with activation and customization? Or is this even a concern I should be worried about?
Thank you!

factory reset, if no gogle account. if there is google account the phone is doomed.
or just neglect the update and directly boot in download mode, uncheck auto reboot in odin options tab, and flash twrp. also s8 can potentially get to Android 11, but latest is 10, you can ask me if needed

I'm not entirely sure, it may have updated in the past and I didn't notice and now it has another update. I just removed google account and factory reset which seems to have cleared the update, thank you. Unfortunately I'm reading that my g950ui is pretty locked down as far as custom recovery and roms are concerned to begin with, so this is kinda irrelevant after some further research this morning.

Probably type on build number 7 times and send me A screenshot? Is oem unlock greyed out?
also remember to also delete samsung account if there is,and remove screen lock.

There is no samsung account and I removed screen lock.
OEM Unlocking isn't even a greyed out option on my phone. It's completely removed from the menu.
maybe try flashing G950F firmware in odin?
