I'm trying to flash Ressurection Remix and LineageOS and I'm having issues that no one else seems to be having.
On lineageOS I can't record videos using any camera app.
On Ressurection Remix GPS doesn't work.
But the main issue i'm having is WiFi and bluetooth not working.
My WiFi MAC address is showing up as 02:00:00:00:00:00 and fails to turn on, same with bluetooth.
Is there anything I could have done to cause this and if so is there a solution.
If you need any additional diagnostics information i'll be happy to provide you with it.
This is an SM-N9005
When dealing with specific ROMs, I would search the ROM threads and/or ask in the ROM threads. The best answer you will probably get (if you get an answer at all) is to flash back to stock and test.

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum so hopefully, I'm posting to the right section. If I'm not, please let me know where I should be posting.
I'm the owner of the Oppo Find 5 and have been using the OmniROM since December, flashing it to the latest nightly on a daily basis.
I recently used the nightlies form 3/24 to 3/26 and have noticed the following issue with these releases:
Unable to connect to Wi-Fi networks. I click to connect but it never does. The Wi-Fi icon doesn't appear in the top right hand corner either.
I can receive calls, but cannot place them. Every time I try, the call just ends
Another observation I have is after 3/23 the size of the nightly zip file has decreased from ~187MB to ~177MB.
I have reverted back to the 3/23 build and both the Wi-Fi and call placement functions were fine. It's only when I update to 3/24 build or later do I encounter the aforementioned issues.
Please advise or confirm if the issues can be duplicated.
Big OmniROM fan by the way.
Thanks and regards.
Starting from the 3/24 build, you must flash the 4.2 modem or wifi and/or calls won't work.

Would anyone know why the 2 download links aren't working? I'm scared to try out the other roms because they're **jf. Not 8w like the phone I have. I'm new at this and wanted to give it a try.
Note 4 Rom and Kernel
Where can I find Roms and Kernels for the Canadian Note 4?
Right now I am using the Stock Rom and 2.10.13-Deported Dirty Loungekatt Kernel. I find there is A LOT of LAG and would really like to change the Kernel to one that is stable...
Any recommendations?
Hi ..any Multi DPI feature on this ROM?
Pretty much any 910t (T-Mobile) rom works but most are dual 910t/910w8 now
Which ROM would fix this problem
Hi,
Just got myself a GALAXY NOTE 4 (SM-N910W8) with Android 4.4.4. So far almost everything is great except for 2 issues I have noticed, and from my research others have experienced similar issues with different phone models and Android versions.
The 2 problems I experienced are :
- Trying to connect to my WIFI with MAC ADDRESS FILTERING ON (doesn't matter if on a 2.4 or 5.0 ghz frequency and if the network is hidden or not), the phone will not authenticate. I needed to create a GUEST account with no MAC ADDRESS FILTERING (and yes I did add the phone's MAC ADDRESS in my ASUS RT-AC68). There is a work around but it is an annoying bug since I have to open a door I didn't want.
- Bluetooth connection to my car only works partially. I am able to connect my phone to my FORD FOCUS (which has My Touch) and perform phone calls and the voice comes through the car speakers but I am unable to have GPS Navigation go through my car speakers. Some people suggested to disable MEDIA AUDIO and install some application from the playstore, so far nothing works. When I do disable MEDIA AUDIO, I am unable to enable it again. The map software I tried are : HERE MAPS from Nokia and Google maps. One interesting thing I noticed before disable Media Audio, not even the phone would play the turn by turn navigation, once I disabled it, I could here it through the phone. I tried to unpair and repair the phone but no voice comes through the car speakers.
So my question is.. Anyone else has experienced this problem and is there a ROM that solves at least the annoying car audio issue? Perhaps there is a fix for the stock rom?
Ultimately, I'm looking for something better then this buggy stock ROM but before I root and void my warranty, I'm looking for the best solution out there.
Thanks for your help.

is there a note5 rom for our canadian note4?
Greetings. I've been trying to update my phone from SlimROM 6 to SlimROM 7, but after each install, I've noticed that the Tethering & Portable Hotspot feature is grayed out in the Settings menu (see attachment). The lack of this feature is a pretty big dealbreaker for me at the moment, so I've been staying back on Slim6 for awhile.
Initially, I thought the issue was with the ROM (SlimROM 7 beta 0.8 and below), but when other users reported they were having no issue with the feature, I started experimenting. I've tried multiple other 7.1.1 ROMs at this point, and the only one that allows me to access and use portable hotspots was OOS 3.5.6. Here are the steps I've tried so far to fix this:
Verify latest TWRP and try again
Install OOS 3.5.6 to ensure latest modem, then install Slim 7
Install Slim6 (with working hotspot), then dirty flash up to Slim7
Test LineageOS, AICP, XOS, and a few others (ROMs only, no GApps or anything else) to see if Slim7 was the issue
Bring phone completely back to stock, install OOS 2.2.0 and update to current, then reinstall TWRP and flash another ROM
None of these have provided any success, and at this point I've pretty much exhausted my knowledge base. Does anyone know what might be causing this, or have any other suggestions I might try?
I'm having the same issue, and it's really frustrating.
I'm on Resurrection Remix 5.8.0, running 7.1.1
Someone please find a solution!

You will be happy to hear that, after an absurd amount of trial and error, I determined that the issue was with my carrier's provisioning, not my ROM or phone. Once I had that to go on, a bit of Googling found this excellent article, which details how to get tethering running again. I tried this yesterday evening, and it worked wonderfully. Not sure why my carrier has seen fit to disable tethering when I upgrade to 7.1.1, but this is a pretty straightforward workaround.
The only issue I've found with it so far, though, is that it reverts on new ROM flashes. I'm exploring creating a simple Magisk package as a more permanent fix, but this will at least get you going.

Cheers man
Thanks so much.
Hello everyone,
Sorry if this is obvious or a known bug but i've searched through a dozen of AOSP threads and found nothing satisfying.
So here's the story :
- I have clean flashed LineageOS 14.1 official 20180110 a week ago but i have those distorted voices when called over any bluetooth device (tried car and BT Speaker). On their thread someone says that it actually has been fixed in 20180103 build but the problem is still present though we're already one build ahead since then.
- Anyway, I decided to change my rom and try out AOKP. I clean flashed it today. Working fine, except for that exact same bug.
- Tried AOSPExtended, same thing.
So do all AOSP roms have this bug? I can't believe it since apart from 1 or 2 posts in Lineage's thread nobody seems to care in any AOSP rom.
If (and i hope so) the answer is no : could a kind soul show me some good AOSP rom without this problem?
Thanks for caring
Same for me on Galaxy S7 (herolte G930F).
Tried newest LineageOS and AOKP - directly after setup. No other changes made. Music over bluetooth works as expected. Phone calls imposible.
I found a Video here which shows exactly what happens:
Google: "s7 edge lineageos bluetooth Youtube":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utDsXrCY5N0
Also some other People seem to have the same problems. See other thread (Post #1999):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...ial-lineageos-14-1-galaxy-s7-t3529197/page200
Thanks for the infos !
I didn't see the post 1999 is LOS thread, seems like the build.prop is a good fix but unfortunately it doesn't work on latest LOS build.
Will try on AOSPExtended with the same editing on audio_hal property.
EDIT : Works on AOSPExtended ! Didn't try AOKP yet
Hi can you please explain how did you fix this ? happen exactly the same for me, thanx
Hey guys,
I'm using aex 7.1, and my bluetooth address is set to the wrong number (00:00:00:00:5a:ad). Tried with official, unofficial, the result is the same, but it works on slim. Any idea how to fix it?
I've got something on github about it, could it be helpful, and if yes, how?
