What's so strange? you go to the camera and enable RAW mode. after that you just take a friggin picture. And the ~50 mb RAW file will appear somewhere inside the DCIM folder

All the magic happens in post.
okay sorry. What I mean is what can you actually do with raw photo files. can you reprocess them, can you edit them, what app do you use to do this? thanks
I assume some of the more full featured editors like Snapseed, VSCO, Lightroom etc. should allow editing of RAW files.

Swipe right on camera window and click on setting icon
You probably won't have much fun with it anyways - there's a new bug now in OOS 2.2.1 which has the camera freeze and force-close when the RAW setting is enabled I use Camera FV-5 which works without problems.

RAW mode works fine for me.
I dont understand why all software related bugs are not present in all op2 phones.

Hey guys/gals, I'm new to the LG side, been with Samsung a really long time since the behold 2. I was on the the note 7 but unfortunately had to turn it in and chose the v20. The one thing I loved was the ability to shoot in camera raw format with both the S7 and Note 7. Does anyone know if that is an option with the v20 or any LG that matter?
Thanks
Derek
Yes when you're in manual mode it allows you to save as raw in the settings. I didn't see it in the auto mode tho.

Awesome, I found it... Thanks
I've found that the photos' quality taken at HQ mode are slightly better then those taken at HDR mode.
But it required to switch from HDR mode manually every time you use the camera app.
Is there any way to lock at HQ mode?
Is HQ mode even available on the OnePlus 5? Can you post screenshots showing it?

Why is the flash is awkward while taking pics in stock camera app. While taking pics using flash we could see only the flash brightness and not the Pictures. Anyone else facing this issue? Kindly help me out in this.
Thanks in advance.

Yes same here. Also the flash option is available ONLY in the 'auto' mode in camera. For other modes it's disabled.

Flash Issue
Hi check your camera settings, look into red-eye reduction setting. If it's ENABLE then switch it to DISABLE and that's it. For me it worked and now the pictures are good.
Yes that worked. Thanks a lot?

How about front flash?
My front camera flash won't turn on.
I was wondering, If I install a custom ROM such as Lineage how do I take pictures from the third camera? That one with a wider lens behind the phone.
As you can see in the image attached, that is what I mean. I tried to find apps in the playstore but none of them offers me the option to use this wide angle camera.
This is still my first matter before moving to a new ROM.
Thanks.

OK, I'll look for other solutions instead, Thanks.
Alright it turns out to be a software problem, the third camera is only accessible through the stock ROM with the stock camera.
I tried using Open Camera which recognizes three cameras but it doesn't take pics from the third one. I will wait for the OneUI 2 update from Samsung to see whether it'll be solved or not.

I've solved the riddle.
If you compare the field of view between std and pano, they are the same.
Go to settings, camera API
Activate camera 2api
Now compare the std and the pano.
The pano uses the wide angle (3rd) camera.
Edit; this doesn't work of you are running OneUI.
Only from a gsi
@physwizz your idea is good but OpenCamera still doesn't recognize it.
As you can see in the image attached bellow, the app knows that there are three cameras and if I keep switching between them it passes over three cameras' id's and none of them is the wide-angle camera. Well, I am using lineage with the reapper kernel. Which one were you using when it worked?

sorry,
You must be right.
It looked like I was getting wide angle but I had the resolution set differently on the std.
My mistake.
