Hello,
I've just bought a Le Pro 3 6GB/64GB from Banggood, and it arrived with EUI 5.9.020S (Build: WAXCNFN5902012312S).
It looks like there are not much Chinese bloatware, Google Play and a few Google apps were already installed on the phone. There were no startup tutorial when I first started it up, the language were already set to English...
I'm not sure if this ROM is original, it's supposed to be. Anyway, there is no "System Update" in the System settings... How can I get this item back so I can "easily" update the firmware?
The firmware is as I received it, no root, no TWRP, no nothing special.
Can't flash trough recovery?

Yes you're right, it seems that in Recovery I can flash an update.zip.
Strange that I don't have a "System Update" in the System settings though... I have to download the update.zip manually.
Where can I find the latest firmware for the x720 6GB/64GB to flash that way?

Ok, so the last version available is 5.9.023S then.
Download don't work, I'll try to find it elsewhere, thanks.
It's a shop ROM, updater won't update it so they removed it. Update.zip method works though. If you can't download from LeEco server, try removing port number from dowload url. You will probably lose Gapps when you update!
EDIT: For example my download url starts with 107.155.49.13:110/222/8/95/scmauto/0/etc.. Just remove :110 from url and it should work.
True. For me :110 is not working. Gapps can be installed as APK (from sites like APKMirror).

Thank you, it worked.
Does that means that this ROM will have all the chinese bloatware?
The ROM the phone came with seems to have none installed, and play store was already on it.
So far everything works pretty fine on this phone, makes me wonder if the benefit of this newer official ROM is worth the hassle.

Yes, it will include all chinese apps. Mine came with shop ROM. I updated it to official, tried some stock based custom ROMs and I'm currently on latest OmniROM. In my opinion there's something sketchy in chinese shop ROMs, you can never tell what they have done.

Hi,
I have a Galaxy Note 4 which has Google Play Services Missing.
The handset has been rooted but cannot install Google Play services ZIP file, i think need CWM on the phone to do this but CWM is not available for Note 4.
Any other way to add Google Play services ?
Did you have the google apps installed before you rooted your device? Try flashing stock from the sammobile website, should install everything.
I also read TWRP is available for the note 4, GApps zipfile should be available somewhere already. (TWRP is only for the snapdragon though, don't know your model)

Hi, I have the same problem. I brought a Note4 duos; model no. SM-N9100 from China. Kindly advice how to resolve this problem so as to be able to use google play store, youtube, etc. Thanks in advance.
Same problem here, I cannot seem to get TWRP working through Odin as well on my N9106w from China. I was able to root it no problem. GooManager cannot find a compatible ROM.
I rooted the phone then install twrp tmobile through Odin --> Result was as before. Still no google play etc. To those who got it to work, please advise.

Hi, I managed to resolve the problem. Just download app from below site and run but it is in Chinese.
http://soft.shouji.com.cn/down/26330.html
I downloaded from the link already but still doesn't work. When I open the google play store, it says no connection and I cannot search for any apps.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=315819327
Seems to be two threads for the same thing. I downloaded from the above link and installed v. 1.5. It then gave me a list to download so I chose the KitKat version which is about 44 megs. I then unzipped it and it expanded to many folders. I think the files in the folder are supposed to be moved to the similar folders on the phone. Possibly with adb? I am not sure.
From the translation, the link seems to be a crack for Gapps in China but I cannot translate on how to install it.
I bought a s6 edge+ dual sim in china.
n9280
i would oike to install google package.
is it possible ?
Thanks for the support.
What do you mean by a Google package? And as far as I know s6 edge plus varient models starts with sm-g928

Hey. Did you try to flash one of G.Apps package zips? If your device isn't rooted, you can download google services stuff from internet. I have a device which is brand China at the same situation as yours. I downloaded all google stuffs and use google things normally. You better try it some. Have a look at that:

You must root your phone at first ,then you can install google package with TWRP.
Or you can just flash g9287 firmware that have google services.

Hi keures..
I have rooted and installed TWRP (although in chinese) and flashed Gapps 64bit which worked out quite well.
Do you know of a TWRP english version for the 9280?
Also, would like to try and flash the 9287 firmware, but do you know if anyone has been successful with that?
Thanks beforehand

SM-G9287 will require PIT file and re-partition the phone. You better make sure to have the PIT file for the SM-G9280 before you do that (use the IMEI etc app to generate the PIT - Dr. Ketan file). I have not flashed anything other than the 9280 FW plus chainfire auto-root, then manual customization. I uploaded the pit file by changing the extension to .doc. Download and change back to .pit.
I haven't been able to verify the PIT, and haven't seen anyone else post it, so use at your own risk!

Hi, I assume someone much smarter than me will be able to point me to a Sony Xperia standard/stock ROM which I can flash with TWRP.
I had loaded TWRP and manages to accidentally wipe out the system with no backup (it's a new phone anyway). I found some ROMS from European telcos, etc. but would like to install the "standard" Sony Xperia ROM for XC.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
PS. I think it would be easiest for me to able to install it through TWRP.... but obviously, anyway to recover my phone would be great.
PPS. Still can access device with adb and Flashtool, but not from Fastboot or Sony PC Companion.
PPS. I have installed OmniROM in the meantime... but don't want to spend too much time on it if I am going to wipe it out anyway.
PPS. I am in the US.
Update:
I found XperiaFirmware. It's downloading F5321_34.1.A.3.49_CE.ftf. Per the download website, will take about 18 hours on average, but it is progressing better than that.
I also found XperiFirm tool which downloads much faster, but I don't know which version. My understanding is that US customized is for CDA version of the phone. I also ran across the post about enabling the fingerprint reader by downloading the UK customized version... But based on latest attempts to do this, since UK version has been upgraded to Nougat, this approach is not working anymore...? But anyway, I could give it a shot to try a European version which is still on MM,
Update: *Whew*
I used XperiFirm to select a ROM. I didn't know which ROM, but I was intrigued to enable the fingerprint scanner. Due to some recent posts that the original method of using the Customized UK (or as they would say "Customised UK") version no longer works as the posted firmware was for Nougat. As a workaround, some people downloaded CE version, but CE version has also been recently updated to Nougat. I noticed a CE5 version which still seemed to be the MM version.
However, I also wasn't sure what differences I may see in the European version as some posters were complaining about some cosmetic differences, so I downloaded Customized US even though I thought I read somewhere it was for CDMA network. I also decided to download one called "Commercial and Journalists" which was the same MM version.
I decided to install it first as I was anxious about trying to get my phone back. I was able to load OmniROM but since there were some known issues, my preference was to use authentic Sony firmware. In addition, I took some low light pictures with the OmniROM version, and they turned out really bad. Not sure if it was the ROM or what, but it was very disappointing. Also, I couldn't get root access to it. Also, even though OmniROM seemed to support the fingerprint scanner, I couldn't get it to register my fingerprint well.
I downloaded the Commercial and Journalists version from XperiFirm, let it unpack it, and then used FlashTool to create the bundle, not including fwinfo.xml or the .ta files.
It started up Android ok, but I noticed I seemed to have lost my TWRP. Anyway, while starting up Android, guess what? The fingerprint enabled software was there... and it works like a champ!
Since I seemed to have lost TWRP, I started from instructions again from http://www.stupdroid.com/2016/10/root-sony-xperia-x-compact.html and was able to get it back.
Then, I tried to get root, but following the instructions, I got the error ""There is no su binary installed" when opening SuperSU.
I then flashed UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip from https://download.chainfire.eu/696/supersu/
And now I have root access!
Whew! I don't know what damage I've done overall... and since I don't have a nano SIM card yet, the worst case scenario is that what I have now doesn't work as a phone (but I doubt it). After what I went through (accidentally deleting the system from my Android phone), I now have a rooted Xperia X Compact with the fingerprint sensor enabled. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good?
And, when I took some low light pics, they turned out better!
Hi Bro,
i need a help can you please give me the web link to download UK customized ftf or CE customized ftf. please its almost a month with xperia x compact but no fingerprint working. im unable to download it with my system its very old configuration. i badly want fingerprint working on my phone. can you please upload somewhere so that i can download and flash it directly, please....
Sorry for my bad english. Thanks in advance..

Hello
There is no international firmware for the Z17.
The vendors are putting custom ROMS with multilanguage with or without google services but they have a great inconvenience, you will not be able to receive updates by OTA.
Where to download the official Chinese firmware for the Nubia Z17?
How can it be installed? From SD, OTG ... through your recovery mode?

The official Chinese firmware can be downloaded here : http://ui.nubia.cn/rom/detail/42
For the installation, there is an upgrade guide in PDF format but you need a Nubia account to access it (and my Chinese knowledge is much worse than my English one)...
How can you tell that you've got a custom rom on it from the vendor?

Taken a look at the PDF file; basic steps 1) Backup information on phone 2)copy firmware zip file into the root directory of internal storage 3)update firmware 4)if there are problems, factory reset after update
Only step (3) looks a little different from other phones; basically you should go Settings - Privacy & Security - Select "Slide to unlock" to reset screen unlock to simple slide to unlock and then Settings - Firmware Update - Local Update - Select the zip file for the firmware you want to update to
Hope this helps.

Hey Thomas, i ordered my Phone from the cect-shop, too and it will arrive on July 11th.
Which version is your Z17? 6/64 or 6/128 ?
It is the 6/64 Version. The 8/128 was not available.
It is good Phone but needs time to get used to coming from Stock Android.

It can only be downloaded if you have the extraction password, that it what Baidu is asking for.
You can find it also here (GeekBu...). It is the release 2.44. I didn't have a look "inside".
I am using the Hong Kong version unlocked M9+. After reset, I find I can't update the Play Services which causes problem for me to update any critical google apps.
Android version is 5.0.2
Sense version is 7.0
Software Number is 1.84.708.10
I am wondering if I need to reflash from stock rom or is there any other way to get this problem sorted?
Thanks.
I am using the Hong Kong version of HTC One ME Dual SIM, which has the same issue after resetting my phone. Luckily I have two of them so that I can check the latest version of Google Play Service and Google Play Store and download from apkmirror to update it manually. Sorry I am a new registered user so I cannot post the full link from APKMirror for your reference.
This is the version of Google Play Service I used to upgrade my phone after reset:
14-3-66-020408-213742215
This is for Google Play Store, seems it is required to update it after upgrading to Google Play Service. Otherwise the phone is not responding to any Play Store requests in my case.
12-3-19-all-0-pr-218276083
Of course you need to enable Installation of APK from unknown source in your security settings. I am not sure if the same method can apply to your case. I hope this will give you more insights in resolving your issue.
