Oke but I want a system dump also
How to install??
I have couple of questions;
1. Before your system got updated what version were you on? I'm guessing NPN25.137-15 because I'm currently on NPN25.137-35 and it's not letting me update via sideload.
2. What security patch version is you phone on after the update was completed?
3. What android version are you on?
I'm on 35 too

I'm noticing on other forums people that claim root is retained, did you have to reflash su or was it retained? Sorry for 20 questions... Just really cautious.

i did not even check just side loaded it right after the update after reflashing twrp
OK. I updated, root was retained. No need to side load it back. I didn't remove xposed first, I DID however turn off the modules. Everything is fine, turned mods back on and rebooted, still fine.

stock recoveries do not allow these sort of updates as they try and protect your device. to do this you need to install a custom recovery such as CWM or TWRP. you can download everything you need through the google play store

Flash this file "RETUAWS_XT1064_5.0.2_LXB22.99-24.4_cid9_CFC.xml" following this guide but after "mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3" add this comand "mfastboot.exe flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4" this is VERY IMPORTANT, if you don't add this comand you can't install any OTA, it will give you error.
After that you are going to recive the OTA alert 22.46.12 and then you will be able to receive or intall the 6.0 OTA.
I have just made it and I recive the 6.0 OTA automatically.
For Marshmallow 6.0 Root use this guide other Root methods cause bootloop in official Marshmallow 6.0.

Check what Huawei authorized this rom to you. If not you will get error and ROM will be deleted.
In case of not authorized, you have to use other method, but it requires unlocked bootloader and factory reset

This guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
P.s. Backup first!
P.p.s. Huawei posted only two files in this ROM. HwOta method needs 3 files, so have to change script.
Changelog says that it is Rollback from Oreo.
Can you use Huawei Update Extractor to extract package_type from update.app of biggest archive and watch what is in?

So downloading the files through FF are useless?

I do not recommend do that, because you will probably have a soft brick, try to do a clean installation of the firmware instead.
Do It manually. I'll post the link in a few.
Here it is.

Just pay attention to not erase user data and it won't wipe anything
It's not possible to flash a OTA.zip on a modified system!!!
And it's not recommended to try to make it work!!! That's a block based OTA-update which will ruined your phone by installing it on a modified device!
