from what I have seen you can only do it on the older firmwares or with root.

I want vanilla android lock screen. Widget locker сant remove it completely and can't skip it on reboot. It also works sometimes very strangely and slowly!
That's odd. I purchased Widget Locker and it works fine on my GS2. I no longer see Samsung's lockscreen after reboot or standby. And I've no issues with the behavior and performance of it either.
Perhaps check your WidgetLocker settings.
Did you enable "Appear on boot"?

Yes, it doesn't help. I've tried every setting possible to set. Also middle button works terrible! I need to press it many time before it starts working. Besides middle button turns off lock screen, but I don't want it and I don't know how to disable this.
Anyway, why I need to use it? I just want to use only ONE standart lockscreen. Without any unnecessary soft in memory.
I'm using WidgetLocker and i got no problem, it completely replaced the default lockscreen. Just use easy wake wake mode and appear on boot and samsung's default lockscreen will be replaced.
How to disable unlocking by pressing a middle button?

No, it's not! If you quickly press power button than try to unlock screen - you will see a samsung lockscreen for a second. Samsung lockscreen and widget locker just working in same time.
Have you disabled Samsung's lockscreen ? I don't have my SGS2 yet but on my current Android phone I can completely disable existing lockscreen.

Sorry, mine works perfectly. Can't see any trace of samsung lockscreen, nor when i unlock, neither in applications running. I also disabled it from WidgetLocker settings, so there's no way it can run or appear.
Ok, let it show for a second, this is not a big problem. Told me - how to disable unlocking by pressing middle button???
In samsung default lockscreen (or any default lockscreen on android device) i press power or middle button - and screen show on. In widget locker I press middle button (power button works here ok) and waiting from 2 to 5 seconds before screen go on. This problem is only with my device?

I was having similar issues and enabled easy wake mode as a previous poster said-now spot on. There are a lot of settings to get right i must admit

My home button doesn't unlock the device, it just wakes it. In button actions i just cleared every button and only allowed volume buttons. I'm talking about WidgetLocker, not default samsung lockscreen.
Found setting in widget locker to disable middle button unlock phone, but slow home button is still here.

In english may be
"Settings - Advanced settings - HomeHelper - HomeHelper blocking"
Basically, I have managed to hide the navigation bar. I also have LMT up and running, but something still makes it a non viable option for me. Basically, a lot of apps (Dolphin Browser, Amazon App Store, etc) have a Settings button (three periods) appear on the navigation bar when in use. Is there a way to recreate this feature with LMT pie controls? Thanks in advance.

Just add a pie button for menu. I personally add it as the secondary action for my recent button. Just don't release your press after the lmt pie opens and the secondary options should pop up. You can also change the value of how long you have to hold it for in the lmt settings.

You can use the full screen mode always and use some on-screen floating buttons ( back, home etc.. ) app from play store ( Virtual Button Bar ). I think this will help you.
thanks for the reply, I use the stylus beta input app to input any text. Im not sure if the floating buttons permnently remove the nav bar, since everytime i want to input text with the stylus the nav bar pops back up
Does anyone know a way to disable the home button long-press shortcut to google now? That way the home button responds a lot quicker

You can either use a custom rom that has the function to remap hardware keys built in or use an xposed module. I believe Wanam has it built in.
I have an old app that I really like but it doesn't have the hamburger (three lines) menu button. The Axon 7 doesn't have a menu button. I've tried long pressing the recent apps and the back buttons but it doesn't work. Is there any way to emulate the old android menu button on the Axon 7?
thanks,
just use mi-pop buttons for this

NICE! Excellent work around. Is there an easier way of turning mi-pop on/off other than going into the phone settings?
Thanks

There is a MI-POP Toggle in the notification pull down.
imo the context menu should be the default action instead of recent apps, while recent apps should be a long-press action on the context menu button :/

in the notifications when you swipe down from the top? I only see "wifi, data 1, data 2, silent, gps" there is a settings button that i can tap, then tap "all settings" and get into the phone settings. were you able to add mi-pop to those notifications?

Swipe down again after you see the notification shade. First swipe down only shows the first row of quick setting toggles. Second swipe brings the rest (and where you can edit the order)

Except that would be against Android standards. And any app that's been updated in the past 3-4 years to modern standards wouldn't have the problem. Some OEMs use a long press on the recent apps to do the old menu, but with Nougat, that's used for multiwindow now. I'm just glad there is still a way to access it, as I need an app that is old enough to need it.
