The tar file contains four modules and I tried installing all four using Odin version 3.12.3 and it failed. So, I turned off the auto reboot and tried the modules one at a time. The BL and AP modules installed but the other two didn't. But when I rebooted with just the AP and BL installed, everything appears to work just fine. I even have all of the upper wifi channels here in the USA using this German version. Netflix and Hulu also work.

I installed BL, AP and CSC(not HOME_CSC) files and it installed normally. Had german language at the beggining.
Any root available for this? Will TWRP work?

I just installed ap and it was set to English UK

nice!
any improvement over the Marshmallow?

I've only been running to for a few hours, but if you use split screen is a vast improvement.
I'm just trying to figure a way to make the blue light filter on automatically....

I flashed it also but strangly enough there are now Option that belongs to a different model (SM-T585), T roaming, service provider et. also an option My Wi-Fi home settings crashed.
I flashed only the AP.
Is it better to flash also BL and CSC??

In the ultra clean rom section there is a post that he tested the TWRP and SU on nougat and it worked

Just tried twrp and su and it installed without a problem

Anyone tried flashing it on a T585?

I flashed this last night, runs like a dream. Rooting and everything else was easy. Is anyone else experiencing this bug? When I set any type of lockscreen security (pin, pattern) after enter the pin/pattern it lags to unlock.

someone upload a link cuase i cant download from that link.

is there a root for 7.0 already?
what type of root do you use ?

Better download firmware via Samfirm

No need to rush, the official US Nougat for the SM-T580 will be release either the first week or second week of June. I hate to do it now with the germany version and have to do all all over again when they release the US version.

German ROM
I install this ROM and result is perfect! All languages are supported!

thanks to RedNas74:
Just managed to root the nougat update.
- Boot into twrp.
- go to wipe -> format data (this will erase your tablet)
- Flash Magisk
- Reboot
- Update Magisk Manager
That's it. Root is working.

it will be the same...when it comes to WiFi version, no differences between two countries...it is just regional differences, which can be changed later on (if you root it).

wifi flashing german nougat failed....6.0.1 Swiss too
I tried in the same way I read here to flash back the swiss MM because German Nougat failed at teh end then MM Swiss firmware Always 4 files failed immediately, I tried with MM to flash normally 4 files and 3 files (BL + AP and under cp or CSC I took CSC, not home CSC) failed immediately anyway...I see you have been able to make it work...I downloaded in Sammobile the 4 files, PLEASE I CANNOT USE MY TABLET SM-T580 ANYMORE....THANKS FROM SWITZERLAND

INFO !!!
My first update OverTheAir with this file was a fail. Only black screen after update and reboot.
(I think because i did not change the country code after flashing KitKat a few weeks ago)
(If the update stuck at 100% in recovery you also have to reflash KitKat ROM)
So i flashed original 830F KitKat ROM via "PhoneFlashTool" with this ROM / Tutorial:
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/Z2US9gd..._150422_ROW.7z
http://www.android-hilfe.de/thema/tutorial-wie-installiere-ich-das-kommende-update-wenn-es-nicht-funktioniert-fuer-alle-varianten.697884/
Changed the "Country Code Setting" via ContactApp ####6020# to "de" (select your language).
And do not update any app like Chrome etc. when it reboots again after.
Then download and start the Lollipop 5.0.1 Update.
Lollipop upgrade reboots into recovery and stays 5min. at 100%.
Then reboots into some intel-flash mode and stays for 4min.
After it reboots into Lollipop OS... :cyclops:
INFO 2 !!! (if you installed Lollipop update 1 first and now restoring/flashing of KitKat ROM fails)

I have the same problem, only that I had the first Lollipop version for 1050F with root and then got the new Lollipop update. The Kitkat version fails to flash. But here is what helped: Go to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/thi...-8-10-13-3-t2930428/post60490907#post60490907
and download the LtoKKxml.7z and copy the files into the kitkat firmware folder and then flash using flash-LtoKK-PVT-810.xml
I had to remove the parts of the XML that erase and format data. Then it worked
After that I could flash KitKat!!

LOLLIPOP ROOT
So easy, follow steps 1-8: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/intel-android-devices-root-temp-cwm-t2975096
I download "IntelAndroid-FBRL-05-16-2015-PTR.7z" and "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip" and it worked with Lollipop 5.0.1.
Make sure you have all the Android, Intel, ADB driver stuff installed (for me win7 installed another one at rooting?)
!!! USE OPTION T4 FOR LOLLIPOP ROOT !!!

Yup I got the notice a few mins ago. I also got it many weeks ago when it bricked my yoga 2 8.3
Advice, when it says Updating....100%. Leave it alone. Last time I thought it was done since it said 100% for many many minutes. So i thought it was stuck or bricked. Just let it sit. It will reboot by itself and restart to the next phase.
It will also sit on the Lenovo android screen for quite a while before it goes to Android is upgrading.
Yes, i got problems too!
- It stays for 8min. at 100%. I leave it alone...
- Then 4 chinese Buttons showed up.
- I pressed the first (reboot i think)
- it reboots, it shows the white lenovo text, then black screen with background light on.
- i waited 10min., no change or start into OS.
- then i pressed 15sek power off, light goes off.
- if i power on, again white lenovo text, then black screen with background light on. nothing... ???
i reboot into recovery and wiped cache, nothing.
i think i will make update from SD card again... see if something happend
Update again from SD dont work! it says:
"/system/app/Chrome.apk" has unexpected contents...
E: Error in /sideload/package.zip
SUCCESS, LOLLIPOP IS WORKING!!!
I Have restored original KitKat ROM via "PhoneFlashTool" with this ROMs / Tutorial:
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/Z2US9gd6f2ei/YT2-830F_S0195_150422_ROW.7z

This time i´ve made the "Country Setting" via ContactApp ####6020# to "DE" befor download and upgrade!
And i have aborted the automatic PlayStore updates for Chrome etc...
Lollipop upgrade reboots into recovery and stays 5min. at 100%.
Then reboots into some intel-flash mode and stays for 4min.
After it reboots into Lollipop OS...
So can you boot back into android? Even after you wiped it? If not and you can't do anything, call Lenovo. I think only they can fix it.
If you can get back into android, I would suggest waiting for the System update notice. That's what showed up this morning for me. I didn't have any chinese buttons. I didn't have to touch anything, just wait for a really long time which is unnerving because I don't know status.
I flashed the KitKat Version again, changed country code, and installed the new Lollipop 5.0.1 update again.
This time there are no chinese buttons to press. (i think because changing the country code befor update).
Lollipop is great, the display is much faster while scrolling in chrome etc.
Interesting. I wonder what the difference between the versions of the country codes are. Mine bricked last time it was updated to lollipop. When I got the repair back, it was back to kitkat and I couldn't update until this morning.
Glad to hear you got it fixed. A few of my apps also stopped working and I had to clear the cache to get it working again after the update.
There are some differences in pre-installed apps. I did not changed the country code few weeks ago because there are some apps in german setup i do not want...

You need to flash the stock kk firmware.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=61955463
From my LG-G3 running Jasmine8.0/Skydragon Kernel 4.2
Yes, It looks like I cannot just upgrade from rooted KK. I had to go back to stock kk firmware provided in the OP's link and follow step by step instructions using google translate. thanks workdowg and 5m00v3.
anyone missing 5GHz band Wi-Fi support with country code DE? I cannot seem to change the country code once it has been upgraded to Lollipop.

Lollipop does not longer provide the option to manual change band... it will auto connect to 5ghz if possible.
It has nothing to do with country code DE. You can check your connection 2,4/5ghz with the app "wifi band".
My YT2 connects automatic to my 5ghz. And i have 2 networks (2,4 + 5ghz) with same networkname.

Okay, I found the solution ! Make the tablet totaly Off, press volume up and volume down, than press power bouton, you directly acces to fastboot mode, and here you can flash with Phone Flash Tool.
Hi,
thanks for the timming TIPs !!
I can't believe LENOVO dosen't take care of this basic things !!
Thanks to you Lollipop is running on my beloved Yoga.
A little tip while we are avaiting 5.1,
Go in Parameter
Activate DEV options : About this tablet, touch 7 times on "Build Version", it will activate the Developper Menu in parameters
Go to Developpers Option (in PArameter)
UNCheck NuPlayer in multimedia.
--> REBOOT your device
It will allow you to avoid Lagging into the UI and apps.
Note that in 5.1 NuPlayer has been replaced by a bugfree version.
Now my last issue is to root the Lenovo...

Googling ”E: failed to verify whole-file signature" and each one talks about a corrupt download... They are old posts from 2013 or so but they could be right.
Try this version 2.40. You can update in the Play store once your rooted.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0xbu7ve3haha8gw/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip?dl=0
Sent from my YOGA Tablet 2-1050F
Thanks for your help.
I tried the 2.40 version triple check the zip file, aleas same error...
Also there are not only corruptions problems related... some are related to CMW version problem and lack of "unsign" option..
Again thanks for the 2.40 link. If you have any suggestion I'm all ears.
There is a new update, to yt2-830f_usr_s100191_1511230623_ww52_row
anyone tried it already?
Looks like it requires going back to stock KitKat again just to update it.
Can't really be bothered trying it.

SM-713 is build on QCO rom but also works fine with QD3 - mine is using the Cellular South QD3. Both are Android 7.0
Install using Odin and reboot. It may take a couple download/reboot tries due to some strange locking function on the Tab S2 but eventually it does install.
Whats the difference between the stock rom and the cellular south one?

I tried this twice, and both times when Odin rebooted the system it wouldn't let it reboot, and said "integrity verification has failed" and it wanted me to do a full factory reset, with a little button being the only thing I could press. So twice, I had to do a full factory reset.
Any ideas on how I can get past this part? I am using the latest version of Odin and the exact same copy of Nougat you are using. I have a SM-T713 that is the Nook version if that matters. I upgraded to Nougat because I wanted to be able to change the resolution for games like my S7 can with Nougat, but there is no option for it on the Tab S2, so I was trying to root to get access to change the resolution...
Thanks for any and all help.
1st thing, Titanium Backup is invaluable in this case because those wipes will delete your apps & data.
Before you started any of this did you go into the developer options and make sure OEM Unlock was turned on? You kinda need to make sure that is done.
Not sure if the Nook version makes a difference (mine is not) but the OEM unlock should do it for you. I always have to do the wipe thing after a new stock rom upload. Just a necessary evil I guess. I always let it fully boot and get to the launcher screen (I skip thru the setup stuff and use Titanium to restore things) before retrying the autoroot upload. For me it always takes after that first wipe (even repeated the whole process using the XAC -Canada- image today).

NXT-L29 EUROPE ROM. Please Help.

Hi guys having a total nightmare trying to update my mate 8, i have the bootloader unlocked and TWRP installed, this is after one week of reading threads and watching video tutorials, i am stuck on EMUI 4 and the build number is NXT -L29C636B103 I would like to update it to Nougat. I have downloaded update. zip and update full hw eu zip and placed them in the dload folder i created but when i try to flash these, i get Error 7, i also tried wiping, system/cache/data in TWRP but the same thing happened Error 7. I am really besides myself now and so fed up any help would be greatly appreciated. My phone was bought from china and i believe the Europe rom is installed.
No L29C636B103 rom is Asian rom....

L29C432B*** is European rom... Letest European rom is L29C432B581 on firmware finder app....
Hi thank you for replying, i tried firmware finder but i seem to have an additional tab to fill in as the connect button stays greyed out with only putting in localhost and 8080, any ideas on what i need to enter.
Tried using firmare finder but the system updater still does not see the updates which have downloaded, there are 2 files in one folder and one file in another, does anyone know how to move forward with this, thank you.
Update tried flashing update.zip and update1.zip but still get Error 7, do you think this is because my installed rom is Asian region.

First get the firmware approved through FF for "Get the firmware through DNS".....
Then you dont have anything to do with Proxy. Just open IP Settings, check on "Static" and put DNS 1 and DNS 2 as 81.177.139.39......click save.
Open Updater and look for update. You will get it for sure if the firmware is already approved for flashing .
Start downloading. Midway, you may pause, change your WIFI again to normal and start again else you may see "Server not available now" notice at the end when ready to flash after 100% download.
Done.
Will give this a try, thank you so much.
It gets as far as rebooting into TWRP after downloading updates but goes no further, should i manually install the updates one at a time within TWRP, thanks.
No twrp.... You need to be on stock recovery... Flash that first...
---------- Post added at 02:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:54 PM ----------
You got rest all right now...
Thought i was just about with joy until it booted back into stock recovery, the update started but failed saying the update failed because it could not verify the update, i checked the compatability with Imei and said was ok, do you think it maybe due to going from B103 straight upto B589, i am at a total loss at what to try next, thanks.
May be...I flashed on top of B330...try with any higher versions of emui 4 or 4.1....oh ...wait....
You need to flash B562 first...
Managed to update to B330 on EMUI 4.1, have tried B585 and B589 but failed both of them, I noticed there is no B562 in the firmware finder list, there is also 2 versions of each update do you download both or just the FullOTA update thanks.
Cannot thank Apat26 enough for all your help, even though B562 was not showing in the firmware finder list, I had a quick look in the system updater and B563 was there so updated that version and then went on to update to the latest B589, om EMUI 5.0.1, so well happy with the overall result.

Galaxy s10+ SM-G975FDS samsung firmwares need help

When searching for a firmware for the phone I just bought on ebay none of the sites i have checked, including sammobile and updato.com, have the baseband version I have which is G975FXXAU1ASE5. I specifically bought this phone so that i could root it and when I checked all the bands that it has there are all except 1 for the tmobile network and I read that it should still work. I currently use metropcs so my question is which firmware can i use that is going to work with tmobile or metropcs and if i use one with a different baseband or csc will it affect if my phone works or not on the tmobile network. I am also in California in the US and all the firmwares are international so what should I use? My CSC is G975FOXM1ASE5 and I haven't seen any with the same CSC either

You will be able to use on Tmobile. All of the carrier features are available excepted RCS messaging. You will also be missing some of the LTE bands, like 71. You can flash any of the 975F firmwares. OXM denotes multi csc firmware regions. Use Frida download tool instead of Sammobile or updato. It much faster - 4/5 minutes vs hours with those websites. AUT gets updates first, but you can choose the same one that is currently on your phone.

I have Frija already and tried it last night with the auto setting and it didn't let me put OXM for a CSC. I tried to run it with MODEL- SM-975F and for the CSC I chose AUT with auto selected and it gives me an error that it cannot find a firmware. I read a comment from somebody with the same phone as I have on yt and somebody replied with a firmware from Nepal and it said OXM in the CSC would that have been compatible too?

Your bootloader is still locked. Reflash entire stock firmware [BL, AP, CP, CSC (not home_csc). It's much easier to follow the videos showing the process instead of following written posts if you're having issues.

My bootloader was unlocked fine already. I followed both of these videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3a8YnWT3yk&t=179s / https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2Xp-lQg1xs&t=612s
Both are pretty much the exact same all the way through. I flashed the patched tar from Magisk restarted the phone and held the vol up bixby power combo when it went black and then I went to wipe data factory reset then rebooted. After it booted i set up the phone the same and checked if magisk was there and it was not so i turned off the phone and when booting i did the vol up bixby and power and the screen stayed on the boot logo saying the this phone is not running samsung's official software and on the top a red line that said i can flash any official software and it stayed like that and after trying to just boot it with the power it gave the exact same message. Only difference from the video and what I did was the firmware I got was from frija while they got theirs from different methods like sammobile and samfirm
EDIT- I flashed the ap cp and csc not the bl file from the firmware i got off of frija and the phone booted up now. The phones bootloader is still unlocked and it boots up but there is no root.

If you flashed those files you should be back to stock. Start the process again. Try this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mn4dTjxY89I
Also make sure your patched magisk file is not corrupted when transferred back to your PC.
If not, I'm out of suggestions...sorry.

remove carrier branding(UK variant)?

been looking for a few days now how to remove the 3(three) banding from my s10+ it just annoys me everytime i see it when it restarts, so far ive flashed a UK BTU from samflash but that didnt do anything other than make some things french, i then reflashed the 3(three) H3G rom and it appeared to work, until i relocked the bootloader. anyone have any idea how to get rid of the three branding? the phones unlocked but i just hate seeing it. preferably id like to not root this phone as i want to keep my banking apps and what not working.

Hi mate
Seems like something was not done properly during flashing , BTU is an unbranded firmware , it should had worked ,by default the CSC is XEF (France) but if you have your (UK) sim in during flashing it should had recognize it.
No need to root , just flash it again , use CSC file not home_csc , it will wipe everything ( back up before doing any thing)
Check here

The problem is this multi csc rom , they carry many different ones , if is not defined by the sim there is a default csc that is used (XEF) , you can still change languages and so on but if your UK sim is in is a little easier...
Check the link I gave you there is a lot of useful info there.

just reading throught it, it says that on Q6 i must wipe the phone 1st , then use the home_csc? little confused, so i need to just do a full wipe using csc, then again using home_csc?, maybe thats why it didnt work before? my current FM isnt on the multi OXM so im assuming i need to do a wipe using csc then home_csc...

i misread your post, i thought it said that it wasnt determined by the SIM, which it is even in multi CSC firmware sets. LoL i cant read, which doesnt work well on forums

when i flashed the U1 firmware on my S9, i didnt need to use the CSC, instead i used the FACTORY_CSC since it was the same Android version

Hi
Kind of lost Q6?
Latest BTU firmware:
Model SM-G975F
Model name Galaxy S10+
Version Android 10
Changelist 17369399
Build date Fri, 13 Dec 2019 08:37:42 +0000
Security Patch Level 2020-01-01
Product code BTU
PDA G975FXXS3BSL4
CSC G975FOXM3BSKO
What i usually do when a fresh install:
Back up (never forget)
Then:
1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) ***
2. Download Odin v3.14.1
3. Extract Odin ZIP file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin)
4. Open Odin v3.14.1
5. Power OFF your S10+
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode (1st plug-in USB-cable to your S10+!!!), push Bixby + Volume Down buttons, while pushing them plug-in USB-cable to PC
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots
In Odin
load BL / AP / CP and CSC
9. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes
When you do a fresh install you use CSC file , this will full wipe the phone , will leave the phone as new, after that fresh install if you wish to flash again ( for any reason) but do not want to lose your settings then use home_csc
CSC file will do a full wipe , in your case I would use CSC , no need to wipe before or after

Then:
1. Extract (un-rar) the firmware file (i.e. to folder c:\Odin) you can put the files anywhere you like on the computer, doesnt need to be in a root folder
2. Download Odin v3.14.1

4. Open Odin v3.14.1
5. Power OFF your S10+
6. Reboot Phone in Download Mode (1st plug-in USB-cable to your S10+!!!), push Bixby + Volume Down buttons, while pushing them plug-in USB-cable to PC dont need to have the cord plugged in, vol -, bixby and power should suffice, just release the power button about a second after you feel it vibrate. Alternatively, you could just adb into it and tell it to reboot using command line in CMD
7. Wait until you get a blue sign in Odin what youre actually waiting for is for a port number to show up in com1
8. Add the firmware files to their designated slots
In Odin
load BL / AP / CP and CSC
9. Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked very important
10. Click the start button, sit back and wait few minutes this can take quite a bit longer than a few minutes LoL
